I understand the the PS2 version's soundtrack is higher pitched and faster than the Gamecube/PC versions, but it's the first version I heard and it sounds better to me.
Here is the weird thing about the Soundtrack for this game: 1. The PS2 version had a higher pitch and was sped up. 2. The Xbox version had a lower pitch and was slowed down. 3. The GameCube version had the correct pitch and speed. 4. The PC version was just like the GameCube version... it had the correct pitch and speed. So yeah... I have no idea why the PS2 & Xbox versions had incorrect pitches and speeds but for whatever reason they did while the GameCube and PC versions were normal and sounded like how they were supposed to sound. I know they were supposed to sound like that because I contacted the composer for this game like 2 years ago and he provided me with the music for this game and yeah... they sounded exactly like they do on the GameCube & PC versions...
Interesting, though there is always the possibility that the composer's files are the wrong speed, it's difficult to determine without access to the original project files this music was created in and seeing / hearing the original settings it was produced at. Though yes, as the composer is closest to the source he would most likely have the correct versions. My guess it has something to do with sampling rates, for example, if it was originally recorded at 48 kHz but played back at 44.1 kHz in the game it would be slower and vice versa.
@TheOrangeMatty Here is the weird thing about the Soundtrack for this game: 1. The PS2 version had a higher pitch and was sped up. 2. The Xbox version had the correct pitch and speed. 3. @@RGBtheRhinoOverwatcher Actually the Xbox version does have a slightly lower pitch than the GameCube & PC version as I have listened to them all and I know... although it was the PAL Xbox version so maybe it's different in the NTSC version?.
@@TheOrangeMatty The NTSC release of Wolverine's Revenge Xbox did have correct pitch and speed like the GameCube and the PC versions according to the Wolverine's Revenge Xbox gameplay video on RUclips.
@@KamenProwler No, because I the played the ps2 verison and like the hyper fast sound the music had and then heard xbox's version it sounds slow and boring.
Two songs that I’ve heard so far that are “looping” or “echoing” are “Juggernaut” (I’m wrong about that title, it’s “No Escape”) (#9) and “Wendigo’s Cave” (#17). Is there any way that you can do something about them? Re-synchronize their sound just like you did with the other songs in the “Jukebox”? And will you do that sooner or later?
It's a glitch with the Jukebox itself, I'll have to record the whole thing again and listen out for it. I never noticed it until it was pointed out as I'm not familiar enough with the music. You and The Sage are the only two people who have mentioned it but I will try to sort it out as I don't like having "broken" uploads on my channel. It's just finding the time to record it again.
This is a direct, digital capture from the original disc playing on real hardware so will be as close to the original source as I can get it on RUclips. Audio compression is often not kind to sonically rich orchestral pieces so maybe whatever you're hearing that's "off" is due to that, else it's just something on the source.
@@PlayStationPaul If you're telling me that you didn't notice the music having its own echo then I don't what you heard. Otherwise you could've pressed on the track again to fix it, but other than that everything else was well recorded. Thanks.
OK I think I hear what you mean now. Like I said all faults were due to the source, I'm not familiar enough with the music to have been able to identify that on a first listen, it would have just seemed intentional (bearing in mind that there are a lot of intentionally discordant parts in this soundtrack). It was literally a one take capture just after beating the game, I didn't pay much attention to the soundtrack whilst playing as I was focusing on the game. Edit - If I get time I might re-record it and re-upload it. I'll unlist this and put a link to the new one.
@@PlayStationPaul Thank you for understanding. Just wanted to point out the error. And thanks for uploading this when I tried to listen to the ost on another channel that was different than the original this one is good.
This game was ridiculously hard
And I want a remastered.
yes, with more checkpoints and autosave instead of having to restart the whole level if you die
Well use cheat codes
