@MacTeutates I'm not worried. The lead hazard is mostly bogus. Lead has to be atomized or dissolved in a solvent to get you sick. I've had a lead test last year and I handle lead a lot and I was fine. Just don't sweeten your wine with lead powder like Nero did...not good for you. I also run down the hall with scissors and I'm ok so far.
Just a thought, if you took the plastic off the botom handle of your cutters, you could sandwich it between 2 pieces of angle iron and weld it solid. Then bolt it to the bench. Should double the cut off rate.
It works! But it's not precise. So a lot of lead gets wasted but you can melt down the excess lead and pour cores with it. Thanks for the nice comment.
Here is a tip for you!!! I am not a bullet maker. I reload and shoot benchrest. I weight a lot of stuff. The balance you have works great but it’s slow. Electronic scales are now cheep and accurate. Get one!!!
Ill have to make a video but it took some thought and some parts at the hardware store. I used a titanium coated bit to widen the hole on the tool then used a long threaded bolt and some washers.
So refreshing to hear from non-worry-warts!! Great series by the way.

LOL! That scissor thing is what's gonna get ya ... in the end. :-)
I also like your elevated, eye-level, scale.

I like the core snipper idea. That's pretty slick.

Could you create a core die and mold your own lead? it would be cheaper per core then using wire.
NOE makes core molds now
I've seen old ones on ebay too that are at least 50 years old. They are a common item.
Thumbs Up!!
is there a link to buy friends
How did you make the tool with the blue handle wire strippers?
