- This is t the Klein tools 7in 1 flip socket. Part number 32907. With multiple configurations and possibilities, this could be a better option then the malco flip bit. Check out the video and let me know. #flipsocket #kleintools #hvac #hvaclife #milwaukeetools #malco #tools

Man… your views blew up on this one. Congrats on that. Nice review and liking your channel. Working my way through your videos and looking forward to more!
Dude right?! If I knew that I would have been a bit more animated or so but second video I sure as hell didn’t think it would jump like that! Appreciate the support brother. Same for you, about to get the 1k that was quite quick! 🤙🏻
@@KoolinwithKrauss it may have something to do with, for whatever reason, being in the playlist of videos by The_Fat_Electrition who has 178k subscribers.
@@amichiganboiwhosereallazy1544 that’s interesting 🤔 curious how that works not real sure on the whole RUclips algorithm and all! But that’s cool! Thanks for that info 👍🏻
I'd like them to produce a metric set (add-on shaft & nut drivers, no handle) as well... 3 or 4 piece 8mm to 13mm or 15mm. I have this one with the handle and combined it with my 32303 14-in-1 to make a 20-in-1. Ideal for eliminating a bunch of separate nut and screwdrivers in my bag.
Now that would be extremely convenient and consolidating! I’d like to see that too
I bought one , not used it much , so the Jury is still out . Looks like a great back up . I’m still very fond of my Malco stuff . Malco has an 8/10mm Metric setup ! As you know , 9/16” and 10 mm are the most endangered species on the Jobsite !
@@chrisfyfe9212 I did see they have a few variations with different combos on the flip bits. I still grab malco first getting some adjusting with the Klein but I like better then the dewalt!
The metric set needs a 10mm
I just got mine 2 days ago at home depot they didn't even have them out yet but I had watched another video and I knew I had to get one to save space in my bag.
It’s a space saver for sure consolidates 6 drivers down to the one shaft, hard to pass up!
This is cool... I like it. Not sure how much more of a convenience it is over just having sockets nearby in a small kit. Either way, it is a cool new little compact setup that I would definitely keep nicely organized.
I keep one on my impact and one in my mb3 since it’s a smaller bag but I do keep a socket set on hand for sure.
Those bits fit perfect on the short malco or dewald shaft for the stubby or 1/4 ratchet for tight spots too
Perfect if you need to get into those spots for sure!
I wish this also came with a short, 1.5-2” hex shank to put one piece onto, so you dont have to use that long shaft that it comes with.
That would be solid! If you get the one with the long handle the shaft will slide all the way into the handle to where it’s just the bit
A coworker and I bought one. The magnet broke off on his and mine the magnet chipped to pieces and the 7/8th has lags get stuck the first uses. Good for a pinch not good for a impact or long term
Dang that sucks. I’m sorry to hear that I’ve used mine in my m12 surge since day one and I’ve used every “socket” for fan motors and brackets to just simple door screws so far so good for me 🤞🏻I’d return it man for sure.
It's ½the cost of the rack-a-teir and the other brand as well... I'm a electrician and have both and still is both love them both
I’ve never used any of the rack-a-tier stuff! But I see a bit of it. Will have to check out!
I just keep the deep sockets I need in my veto. I love the idea of this though.
Appreciate that! I have one living in my MB3. Then I keep another on my impact. It’s versatile for sure!
not sure if i have to say this but on the 1/4 side u pull it out a bit to make it a deep well to fit a bit not like u showed it
For sure 👍🏻
I used the nut driver with my impact to fasten a tapcon and nearly disintegrated the magnetic tip. The fault of that design is the impact force transmits directly to the small diameter of the shaft rather than the shoulder of the nut driver. Still like the tool but am weary with using with impact.
So true. I was using it once on a ceased up fan motor and could feel some give so I let go and ended up grabbing socket set anyways but when in a pinch it’s great to have around!
Did it say it was impact graded on the packaging?
Not sure I’ll have to double check but it has the 1/4” he XS with the detent in the shaft for ball bearing, like a impact bit. Will have to double check
@@bobbyhempel1513 yes it specifically states impact rated
I was pissed off at malco when I bought a 1/4-5/16 2” and a 5/16-3/8 6” to find out they use a 5/16 hex on the bigger one so the ends don’t interchange. What’s the point when they both drop down to 1/4” for the impact. maybe I’ll use this and throw the extra sockets in the little canvas bag I carry for bits.
I have a DEWALT kit 1/4-1/2 that has been nice on condenser fan motors only thing is when the fan guard is a stud and you still end up just finger banging the nuts off.
Oh that’s lame? Eh at is the point of that for sure you would think that they’d all be the same to be able to change them out. I keep this around and the trust 1/4-5/16. But you ain’t lying I actually was just doing a fan motor and used this and same concept lol 😂
Is it possible to fit the extra socket on the shorter shaft? Imagine you wouldn't be able to put it in a driver that way but was wondering if it would work for storage alone.
That’s something I’ll have to check. I’m sure it will fit but probably won’t lock into the notches on the shaft. Probably be closer to the end 1/4” notch, where the collet sets.
@@KoolinwithKrauss thanks
Handy little kit , mine’s come in handy !
Definitely keep it close when in a pinch! Always on my impact!
i need this in my life
Absolutely! It’s a game changer
Checked you out on Ryans Channel.......Keep on Keeping on
Thanks man I appreciate that for sure! Hopefully I can bring some content to you that you’ll enjoy 🤙🏻
Awesome chuck
I thought Malco would have done this first but good for Klein
For sure I would have thought to. I’m sure only matter of time
Where did you get that side bit holder for the impact driver?
I have a video on it I put a link in , it’s ludwig cabinets I believe
@@KoolinwithKrauss appreciate it, brother
Is it stated on the packaging that itnis in fact, impact rated? I see the color of the metal, but these days, that doesn't always mean anything.
It does say in product description “The tool is impact rated for use with any impact driver.” And “Shaft and sockets can also be used with an impact driver” but your right , these days!
Interesting, thanks for showing us.
Absolutely! Appreciate it
@@KoolinwithKrauss DARN you! Your suggestion IS fantastic. I've got one set and just ordered a second set. I got the nut set and small Kline (32308) screwdriver and it is working so well I just ordered another nut set and the larger 14-1 screwdriver ActuallyThank You!.
@@leealtmansr.3811 😂 I’m glad it’s working out for you!! I have 2 sets as well and change them in different variations! Good to hear you enjoy it! I watch videos and feel the same way haha
Great coverage.
Appreciate that!
Your information is good and useful
Appreciate that!
Klein's has a similar multi nut driver but its bulky and heavy. This one seems a better choice. I'm not really a fan of multi tools. They do have their place. Sometimes I throw a few tools in a "don't know what I might need" bag.
For sure! The multi one is huge, it’s a nice slimmer option. Good for the impact for panel doors and when in a pinch
What is the bit holder on the side of your impact?
I got that off a 3D printed website.
www.ludwigcabinets.com/store/p10/MW-MB4.html
Or you can check out Etsy
I have the red and yellow… really all you need
That’s the most common for sure. With hvac I use a few others so it’s comes in handy in a pinch
So what's 7th tool?
I’ll post a quick video on it. It’s being a able to use the 1/4” bit and putting in a 1/4” bit into the socket part.
I hope they’ll do a metric version too for us EU guys
Oh absolutely! Considering most the work uses metric lol
@@KoolinwithKrauss Idon’t have high hopes as there is also no metric multi nut driver. But we’ll see. The 1/4, 5/16 I use because I encounter 1/4 and 8mm fasteners quite often. But if they’d add at least a 10mm/13mm socket I’d be okay.
@@plumbraider2265 probably right. But I know malco does a 6mm to 8mm and 8mm to 10mm flip but
@@KoolinwithKrauss do they now? Might get the 8-10 malco for the time being
@@plumbraider2265absolutely! Would be worth a shot
Awesome
Thank you, appreciate that!
My klein 7 or whatever in one multi socket is enough of a pain to use, this looks worse having to remove them from the bottom
For sure! I did a follow up video about that. Gets a bid annoying
Is the shaft metal or hard plastic? And is it hard how hard? 🥵
It’s a metal shank not sure on the material used but it’s the same as the malco I would aay
Very cool, rarely need that many options when working, but that will definitely live in one of my SMAKs. (Save my ass kits).
Malco generally fits the bill (HVAC/controls work). Don't need more than red/yellow/blue.
Love the “SMAK” 😂 that’s awesome. And for sure, those 3 do the trick most of the time!
@@KoolinwithKrauss SMAK was our scrounge part kit in the military. You weren't supposed to have it on the aircraft because of tool and part control, but no one cried when you reached into your pack and pulled out just the right thing to fix the jet when the crew were sitting in the seats and the engines were running waiting to take off instead of the half hour trip back to supply.
@@GeoFry3 Nice, makes total sense. Thanks for your service too! But you know how they say sometimes, “hurry up and wait”
👍👍
Just more small parts to lose !
Wish they would ditch the 11/32 and add a 9/16 then it would be perfect.
That would be cool. Id like them also make a second set on maybe a small in a cas🤙🏻 like a bahco or wera but just for the 1/4” shaft.
👍ℹ️
I see some Dewalt patent on this design. Hmmmm.
Interesting 🤔!
I see more Melco
it would be perfect if it only was metric, and all 10mm.
Malco makes a 8mm and 10mm flip. But always need the 10!
@@KoolinwithKrauss Does it fit on the klein version?
yes and no. The hex shank will fit but with the spline portion on the Klein shaft it won’t seat all the way down
Nice video. Though am curious why you keep referring to the sockets as nutrunners (which is a southern term for pneumatic torque wrenches, a totally different thing). Maybe it's local slang in your area.
Appreciate that! That’s interesting lol no clue honestly that’s how I’ve always called nut drivers/runners I’ve heard it referred to that while I lived in Maryland and as I currently live in Florida!
Thanks, not I HAVE to have it.
I felt the same way! Lol
A 10 in 1 tool does 10 jobs shitty, a single purpose tool does its job exceptionally.
Hope they come out with a 9/16 and 10mm addon.
Where did you get that adapter kit for the surge.....? too cool
I got it a few years back from.
