Great review James 👍. It's a really innovative flashlight and would be really good for the outdoors. In fact finally a flashlight that can also be called a Torch 😁😉.I will definitely be looking at one when they are available here 👌🙂.
I got mine with the tripod on the way. Too bad there wasn't a lanyard attachment point near the top. Seems like you might want to hang it from the ceiling of a tent. I suppose you could tie a string around it.
Thanks for your review. Looks like a nice unit, but it's a bit expensive. I wish they would have included a rotating ring around the switch for smooth ramping with the front LEDs, like the Seeker 4 Pro has.
Thanks for getting the review out so quick! Will that charging base work with any of the other flashlights that are smaller? probably going to order one of these and the osight before the sale is over. Thanks for all the great content
For batteries, I like the MiBoxer C4. For powering the Prowess as a lamp, I’d keep it simple and use the USB-C cable they provide with a USB wall adapter.
I tend to gravitate to tail switches and standard batteries whether it’s AAA, AA, 10440, 14500, 18650 etc. I’ve never been a fan of the magnetic charging and proprietary batteries. For these reasons I stay away from most of the Olight lights.
Good review. While I could see this being a pretty neat light for camping and other outdoor activities as well as maybe areas where you're plagued by regular power outages or such, I feel like they once again missed some opportunities with that one. In my opinion, the 360° ring should've been RGB instead of warm white or, at the very least, have the option to switch between warm and cool white to make use of it as a desk lamp while working, for which warm white isn't ideal. Furthermore, I think a combined mode where the ring and the front light are on at the same time would've made for a good room-filling illumination. Not a fan of the proprietary charging base at all, though. It's bad enough they go all proprietary on their batteries and such but the fact that they can't even establish and maintain a streamlined charging system with their own products is beyond me. That's exactly the stuff that drives people to other brands.
SOFIRN COULD MAKE THIS SAME LIGHT BUT FOR HALF THE PRICE PEOPLE DONT BUY AN O-LIGHT UNTIL YOU SEEN OR BOUGHT A SOFIRN OR A WURKKOS FOR HALF THE PRICE BUT WITH THE SAME MATERIALS LOL SO YEAH SOFIRN AND WURKKOS IS WAY BETTER PEOPLE
@@jamm1eify lol lies i bought the SOFIRN SP33S for only 15.00 dollars so your stupid also i bought a 16.000LM flashlight the sofirn Q8plus for only 70.00 dollars with batteries so clearly you dont know shit
Good to see you back in action!. This looks like a great flashlight for camping/fishing
Thank you! Yes, I think this light and its accessories make it an option for a variety of uses. Definitely good for camping, I’d imagine 👍

Good call. That would add additional ease of use

Nice! And good question. Unfortunately the base did not charge other models I tried (Seeker 4 mini, Warrior Mini 2).
I was strongly considering it for lamp type stuff but only 800 lumens isn't really that much
Yeah, I think the amount of light is great for a desk but maybe not quite enough for a larger room.
What is a recommendation for a wall charger 🔌

Great for power outage
I agree. Two lighting options and plenty of runtime especially on lower output.

Really want warm light for lamp mode
Great review but not for me.

Good to have a lot of solid options on the market for sure 👍
But the Prowess is a lamp and a flashlight with 5000 lumens which is about the same price as over 5000 lumens flashlights
