Why are you not talking about tyre noise and relative comfort? Do you really think someone who buys blue earth Yokohamas cares about lap times and the crispiness of braking?
Wow....the Hankook and GT Radial are UHP's while the Toyo and Bridgestone's are Tourers, both sponsor and presenter are completely oblivious to this! Test results are also completely opposite to those performed by professional tyre testing outfits TUV SUD and UTAC on these same tyres. One can smell the mucky paw of Hankook once again
Which tyres have the best rim protection ??
Hi! I have Yokohama AE51 as default and I already tested it in +5C wet condition.... That's why I watch your review :) It was really fun experience, never again. I have just bought Continental TS870 because I don't like to have a fun with expensive things :D
I am looking for tyre 195/55/R16. I use mostly in city. Roads are not good. Bridgestone, yokohoma, continental tyres only available here. Please suggest.
Recomiendo las gomas toyo proxes comfort
Anyone tested nexen n'blue s ?
I wanna buy tyres for my crossover and have three options:
Nexen nfera Supreme(N5000 Platinum) ($175),
Nankang SP-9 Cross-Sport ($115), and
Giti Sport S2 Suv ($125).
I can’t decide which one should I go with, as comfort and smooth driving is the number one priority for me.
Where's Kumho, Falken ?
There are many established 'mid range' tyres (in the UK).
Unfortunately the logistics of getting certain tyres might not fit with the filming schedule. Keep your eyes peeled for our 2023 tests soon...
You are testing here the GT Radial SportActive 2 and you say they have simply "no grip". But in your next test (2023), you say the GT Radial SportActive 2 is a very good tyre and pretty as good as the Firestone and Hankook ... very confusing ...
isn''t the Hankook a UHP tyre...not midrange and not touring ... ? Ventus 4 is the touring tyre from Hankook ( and one of the best touring tyres alongside the Bridgestone Touranza, mind you) !
Yep, should’ve included the Ventura Prime 4 not the S1 Evo…
The research needs more, well, researching before edit and upload.
Fair comments all - however in the UK market the premium tyres are from the 'Big Six' Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin, Dunlop, Continental, Pirelli. Hankook is a top tier mid range like Yoko or Toyo etc, which is why they are in this test. All the tyres fielded were in the performance touring category - but appreciate the comment that Hankook do have more tyres in similar sectors that could have been included here.
@@tyreseeker Yes but the Hankooks are very similar in price to the big brands whereas Toyo isn't, as the GT isn't.
The s1 evo3 and v12 evo 2 from hankook are almost as expensive as Michelins maybe $10-15 cheaper so idk why it’s here as midrange. In the past they were mid but now these are Uhp
which test tire is the quietest
Yes, we need to know this as this point was nt even mentioned remotely.
Hi!
Good question - I have put together a spreadsheet that shows the noise levels for all tyres from our group tests, and all other tyre label metrics for you to take a look at. You can find the file here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SMSClu-3Id3H7l5Fa0uWvj1E7kUqYQcyNyVA5g2b91I/edit?usp=sharing

I can confirm on the Toyo Proxes comfort. They are excellent on wet, and great tyres on dry too. Got for £80 each fitted on my Ibiza, best price/quality of all.
Do you know where they are made?
@theprov can you shed some light on how they feel? is the actual steering feedback good? i'm looking for tyres that have great responsiveness and not a soft sidewall that tends to curl over when cornering
@@NathanCelica Ive bought them for all 4 wheels. Been driving with it for around 1000 miles. They feel pretty good on the road and it feels really sticky. They are A rated for wet and C rated for fuel efficiency.
You should not know which tyre is on the car.
I can't believe you spent all this time for completely bias results.
Complete waste if time
Complete null in void
Please tell me you don't know what tyre is on the car
This is truly misleading comparison. How can a premium UHP like Hankook S1 evo 3 same par with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 and Goodyear Asymmetric 6 going to vs comfort touring tyre like Toyo Proxes Comfort (should take Proxes Sport to compare) and Yokohama AE51. GT Radial is a cheap brand not even in mid range at all. This is truly dumb. Hankook touring tyre is Prime 4 or S1 Noble 2. Pls do more homework before reviewing.
Ikr very weird how Uhp tyres are in this
