OK. I have all motors spinning in the correct direction and saved in Betaflight and my Radiomaster TX16s moves the receiver sliders in the correct way in Betaflight. Yet when I disconnect from Betaflight the motors spin in the reverse direction using the controller. What's going on here?
Dutch i updated my BF to 10.9 and the firmware for the quad is 4.2.3.The motor direction button showed up but it doesnt behave like your video on motor routing. Ive changed motor direction to off. Nothing happens so i put it back to indicate motor direction is reversed which is its permanent setting. Both motors 1 and 2 are still spinning in the wrong direction. Im pooped but maybe theres another wsy to chg these 2 motors directiin via the CLI which i know nothing about. Perhaps we'll chat tomorrow hopefully. Goodnite Dutch!! 🤭
Hee brother! Wellllll to good news is that you now probably know why the quad didn't take off :) And the quad probably isn't a BLheli32 one.. therefor the Betaflight route might not work.. You will therefor have to change the motor-direction with the Blheli Chrome app... At this moment I am at work so I can't see what app you would need..
@@techFPV5964 Soooooo this is the blheli ESC configurator I use: esc-configurator.com/ with that you should be able to reverse motors :) There are lot's of video's online on the use of the software but reversing motors should be simple :)
There is no "daving" involved.. you hit the Reverse (if the motor is spinning the wrong way around) and that should be it.. I have found that Sometimes the setting is somehow lost.. Just try it again and it will stick :)
Thanks for the video...but what about changing the rotation and not having it default. I think I did the Motor Direction Is Reversed but I got confused after and it didn't work as it should.
Howdy man :) you do mean props-out / props-in right? :D You can set that with the "switch" right above the diagram on the motors-tab.. See the switch with "motor direction is reversed" ?
In the past you could indeed download the specific firmware's but those are nowdays "compiled on demand" (based on a couple of includes you pick) soooo I don't have that link.. sorry
Also Dutch my motors say on BF that they are reversed. Can this cause my issue with motor 1 and 2 spinning in the wrong direction? I also get "No response from the bootloader, programming failed" in red
@@techFPV5964 if it flew well before I wouldn't be fixing things that aren't broken :) and IF you want to update.. I'd pick 4.3.1 not the very latest as that changes things more drastically :D
Hello Dutch i got a doozy for you as you know i have an hglrc Arrow3 4s quad and the Eachine Lal3 4s and i cannot get these 2 quads to link up with my Skyzone Cobra SD goggles but they will link up with my Mob6 and my Hubsan Jet. On the1st 2 quads i mentioned i have changed the power level from 25mw to 300 and back, i changed frequencies as well as 6 different bands and i cannot get the hglrc, Eachine to give me a feed/image. I find this quite peculiar and wanted to ask what you think may be going on? When i first got these goggles as a replacement for the cobra S 7 months ago all my quads gave me a good feed but not now. Thanks Dutch!! ✈️✈️
Howdy man :) that IS weird.. does the Cobra goggle receive Any kind of FPV signal at all still? If it does, maybe your 2 quads are on channels the Cobra doesn't like.. I'd try some different frequencies.. Also are you sure your quads are not in PID mode maybe???
@@DutchRC Hi Dutch after some troubleshooting i found thay my Cobra would immediately pickup a strong feed from my MOB6 and my Hubsan Jet so i will either change out thr vtx in both or replace antennas. For the 2 quads hglrc, Eachine i did increase the power levels from 25mw to 300,back. I also changed bands, frequencies and the waveforms remained mostly flat but i got high wave forms from my other quads so i'm leaning towards bad vtx, antennas. Never thought am antenna could become defective but we'll find out later today, ill let you know what i come up with. Always learning right Dutchman! ✈️
On my Motors 3 and 4 when I click it it'll spin the right way but then when I click it again it goes the opposite direction so I started typing the number three and number four over and over again it'll go one way then back the other way a few times and then back to the opposite way. Have you ever seen that happen before and do you know what I should do to fix that? Thanks
I think your best bet would be to Not use Betaflight for reversing anymore as they "broke" this feature in one of the latest releases.. Sometimes it works. but using the BLheli tools works better...
@DutchRC okay yea i read it was in the latest betaflight firmware. I just got the Speedy Bee f405 V3 and it has the latest betaflight firmware already on it.
If you watch your video over. It doesn't really explain HOW to change the direction. You only checked the direction, you didn't specify how to change and show the change. Simply clicking on reverse spins the motor in the reverse direction than it is. It isn't changing it and saving it to keep it that way.
I never knew BF could do this, I always used the BL-Heli program. Thanks.
you're correct actually :) this is a New feature of BF... very handy
Fantastic, dude! Thanks a lot for the video! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I can't check (at work now) but did you maybe forget to "save" the new setup after changing things?
@@DutchRC Worked it out. It was in turtle mode
@@Klaas_H :D I would have Never thought of that :D
But the pretty question.. When we have done using this... and back to blheli32 configuration, was this also change the blheli setup automatically? 🤔
This procedure does actually change the direction in the blheli setup... try it :)

my motor 1 is always clockwise, even if i change the rotation...why?
Try reversing it in the BLheli suite.. it might not be working on your end because it was "broken" by one of the last BF releases..
so.. props stays on quad when we doing this right?
Looks like you payed attention! 😅
Do you have a direct link to the beta 4.3? I cannot seem to find it in the latest builds. Thank you.

Yes sir.. that can for sure be the cause.. BF will instantly notice when trying to fly away something is wrong in that case (and disarm)
