I love how much coverage you guys have with the sound proofing. My 6.1 is very similar to this (startline+air con but ascot grey rather than flannel) but the idea of doing less than maximum coverage for sound seemed nuts to me yet so many people recommend 50%. It's cheap enough that you might as well do the job properly! Just nice to see professionals doing it, I know there's a lot out there who don't put nearly as much in, safe in the knowledge the customer won't ever know any different!
Im currently saving for my first ever transporter. But in two minds to go with a diesel due to the current state on diesels in city's. Plus having 4motion or not, wanna jave a swamper design! Could you please help me with my choices. Many thanks, also love the content you guys do
@@THQAutomotive I live in Brighton. If I don't go for the 4motion due to the lack of petrols. Which one would you recommend for better off road compatibility FWD or the RWD?
I think you missed a trick with the TV/Media unit. Could you develop a head liner with a recessed area. For the tv unit to fold away flush with the head liner. A motorised fold away tv. Making it flush with the head liner would mean not having to remove it every time you leave the van. 🙂👍🏻 BTW, you touched your baseball cap more times than an F1 driver trying to promote his sponsors 😂😂. Obviously you have good marketing advisors. 👍🏻 I like the channel it’s giving me good ideas for my own day/overnight van. I’m looking for a van that can work between a work horse practical van with a Rib in the back , heating and media. Keep up the good work 🙂👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
😂😂 the hat touching is not intentional, it’s normally because I notice it’s not straight on the camera screen 🤦🏻♂️ I’m not sure on tv’s in vans. Tv’s come in too many different shapes and size. Tablets are so small and affordable now, plus can pretty much do everything a TV can do. Glad you find the videos useful 😊

I would be interested in using your company when I get my van. I like the detail you have went into over suspension and I’ve watched previous videos of it.

I am interested in fitting the Bilstein suspension struts reg is AO60 FPX any advice on both items Thanks great vids keep it up Keith S
I noticed that when sound proofing / insulating, you went for the deadening mats, and then the fleece over it. Some people also put the closed cell foil backed sound and thermal insulation between those two layers. Is that really necessary, or is it fine how it's done on this van? Not sure whether to skip that step or not. Thanks.
Does anyone know what colour Dinamica this is, guessing it's either vaypour - 0800 or the Nickel - 8330? Also wondering where I can buy those spotlights and some of that grey vinyl trim. Interior looks good... simple but practical.
Could you let me know what colour Dinamica you used for this please? I'm looking to try and colour match the front head liner on my 6.1 like you have done here. Cheers.
I'm currently in The Netherlands at out European depot. Drop me an email and I'll check and let you know when I'm back next week andy@transporterhq.co.uk
Thats was the whole idea, make the back match the OEM front. If you're doing the front properly with Dynamica / or alcantara, you have the stitch the front around the curves, that gets expensive. The fake stuff stretches ok but we don't like how cheap it looks and fades. This dynamica matches so well, you can hardly even tell its not the same as the cab. This build it about practical with some luxury without blowing the bank. Check out our flatbed build, that has A LOT of trimming done. We wanted this one to look special without going OTT. I'm really happy with how well the rear matches the front, without the expensive of trimming and stitching the cab lining.
