Four years later, every time I hear it or play it, I feel the same emotion: just an iconic song from an incredible, iconic magician. Just watching Noel with Matt Morgan on XFM and a listener asked what his least appreciated song was and he said this. I’m a pretty big fan, but never heard it. He said he hardly plays it cos it never gets a good reception, but it’s a great song. Quite melancholic and/or sentimental, so I’m guessing he’s misjudged the reaction, as it’s a great tune. But not something you’re gonna react to live by going crazy. Shame. Only seen him live once, one on one outside Ewood Park just before, like literally a week before he quit Oasis. City were playing first match of the season and I was late…and the rest is history.
