    Radiofrequency can work for Fitzpatrick V and VI. I'm a V and had many RF Microneedling treatments with no adverse reactions or hyperpigmentation.The FDA approval for the NEWA device was only granted for skin types I - IV because these were not any participants in the trial with darker skin tones but they are working to correct this. Also, the Nebulyft RF device is FDA approved for all skin types. I just want to ensure people of color understand they too can use RF with caution.

    Radiofrequency is safe to use on all skin tones. It's laser treatments that you have to be careful with. Also the longer and stronger the RF is, it can have a fat melting effect so that's why you shouldn't keep the device in one spot for long and only do treatments once every 3-4 weeks

      By increasing cellular energy you’re able to increase all the biological skin functions, including collagen stimulation, but it doesn’t specifically address collagen in the same way RF does.

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  4 года назад +3

      The HIFU is High-intensity focused ultrasound. So more similar to RF than microcurrent. It uses sound ways to stimulate collagen. I still haven’t done it. I’ve been playing around with the idea of getting a Time Master Pro, which is ultrasound not specifically HIFU.

    Katie, Your beautiful skin, is definitely a testament to your health, and skin care , along with these technical devices you discuss in this tutorial. I appreciate your transparency, using these devices. I am definitely interested, but the concerns you discuss are mine as well, besides others. The Newa device sounds very hopeful, in achieving smoother and younger skin. I am concerned about the Newa device burning the skin. I just purchased a Nu Face Trinity device, it is a micro current device, , but, you used the Nuface , when comparing it to radio frequency on the bi-polar scale. This tutorial came out on April 20th, and today is June 1, 2021. Do you feel that the Newa RF beauty device, is still best for treating the face ? And do you still feel a monopolar or unipolar device is better in treating the body ? What products do you suggest for treating the body ? I learned a lot, watching your video, and feel, I may of wasted money, buying the Nuface. I thought it would be great for skin and muscle, but it only affects the surface of the skin, and barely touches any level of collagen, is that right ? That is what I understood you to say, since it was in the class category of the Bi-polar level. I haven't used my new Nu Face yet, hut .will use it anyway, in hopes to see some improvement. I also take hydrolyzed protein with amino acids, which is suppose to be helpful , in maintaining youthful levels of collagen. Katie , you are one of the exceptional skin care gurus. I will be watching your videos, a lot from now on. Thank you Katie, for caring about your community of viewers. Carol Smith-Blum

    Edit : and is HIFU is safe for dark skin tone?

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  4 года назад +4

      I’m less familiar with the contraindications of HIFU, which uses ultrasound to stimulate collagen and tighten skin, but because it isn’t using heat I can’t imagine there would be pigment issues. While creating similar results to RF it’s a different modality. High frequency is used more often to oxygenate the skin and neutralize bacteria.

    THanks for the video, I have a question about the Microcurrent vs galvanic (direct)current :) Galvanic current (direct current, doesnt give frequency) ir different from microcurrent(used in NuFace and Myoilift. I got the idea that galvanic only stimulates skin while microcurrent stimulates muscles? It is impossible to understand from the information online whether galvanic current stimulates muscles or only skin tissues? I am asking because I want to use both and I dont know if i wouldn't overdo it and woupldn't overwork my facial muscles and potentially cause some damage such as facial loss? If galvanic machine is recommended for 2 times per week and I would also use microcurrent for 3 times per week wouldnt that be too much? (microcurrent of 400 microamperes)?Thank you in advance:)

      Hi! That's funny, I never thought to do a video on the Duo. I got mine for personal use too since we technically aren't allowed to use RF as estheticians in California 🙄 When I first got mine, I used an infrared thermometer to check the surface temperature of each treatment area. Now I just use it until I can't stand the heat. I put it all the way up and use the Pro setting so the probe stays consistently hot throughout the treatment.

      This might not be what you want to hear but both can be fantastic for addressing nasolabial folds. Also, these lines will appear much deeper when the skin is dehydrated. So be sure to add a lot of topical and internal hydration.

    Soooo do you use this at the same time as you are using myolift mini? Is that allowable? Lastly, I currently have the myolift mini and bear, if you were going to purchase the "next" device would you choose the Dr gross led mask or the newa?

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician

      Sometimes I use the NEWA followed by the MyoLift but I’m usually tight on time and do one treatment each a week on separate days. Your next device will depend on what you specifically want to address. What are your skin concerns?

    I have 2 implants but used the two devices (different RF)a few times . I didn't notice anything while using RF but could feel something on my face when I was using Myolift. My question is what will happen if I carry on using them. Will they damage the implants?

    So for about 2 weeks now i've been using the miolyft & the nebyulift devices regularly as directed (Nira, I've hardly ever used, maybe 2-3 times, as i kinda never trusted that one) and not only have I seen ZERO improvements, i've noticed that instead my skin has gotten much worse. It is now a lot more saggy, wrinkly & overall very, very dry.
    I'm wondering (since you're not only an esthetician you're also a user of these devices) have you had this experience and / or do you think this is to be expected at this stage? Or might this be because the device is actually worse for our skin? Others have also reported this negative effect (in the review sections of Amazon etc...) & some of them have included 'before/after' photos where day 1 had them with more firmer, smoother skin, than day 30 or 60. I mean, we're not talking about not seeing results (waiting for results), we're talking about seeing results, quickly, but for worse. Is it normal? Is there an explanation for this??

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician

    I just purchased a cavitation machine and used the Tri-Polar RF head for about 5 mins over my face and neck and now I am worried because I’m just seeing how people are losing fat in their face. Do you think I’m at risk for losing face fat from the Tri-Polar head at about a 2-3 intensity for 5 mins? I’m freaking out so any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  4 года назад +2

      Cavitation uses ultrasound to dissolve fat. I assume your device has both cavitation and RF heads? I think the idea is dissolve the fat then tighten the skin. Tri-Polar or multi-polar RF usually isn’t used for fat loss, monopolar which can travel through the body is best suited for fat removal. From what I understand, multipolar devices only penetrate 4 mm deep. Subcutaneous fat is 6 mm down so you should be safe. But obviously each machine is different so I would reach out to the company.

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician

      Being a different form of current, Radio Frequency isn’t measured in micro amps. There isn’t a direct comparison. RF dives deeper and uses a heat energy.
