- Its that funny time after Christmans but before new year and with Storm Gerrit barreling past the day before I decided to take advantage of the break in the weather the day after to do some fossil hunting. I chose the long walk from Runswick Bay to Goldsborough, approximately 3.5 miles of rugged coastline taking in the upper pliensbachian to middle toarcian stages approximately 184 to 181 million years ago.
Really enjoyed the longer video, thanks!
Yes it ended up longer than I thought haha
Love the longer videos, thanks for sharing and all the best for 2024
You too!
Lovely video, it's nice to see what is around the far reaches of the beach, Good to have a chat with you in the carpark and thanks for leaving us some on the beach, wishing you all the best for 2024, especially now you have a new Dac splitting expert 😀
Hope you found more than I did! Just goes to show that the further reaches are not always so productive
Good video , enjoyed the geology lesson to. Looking forward to seeing your adventures in 24 😊
Thanks. Should be a good year
Nice fossil hunt and just nice to be out 😊
It was. Nothing but rain and wind at home
Nice few finds. Love the colours on the ammonites from the second location ❤
You live in a very beautiful part of the world. All our cliffs in The Soft Shandy Drinking South East of England, are white with very few and far between fossils.
Still chance of some lovely chalk ammonites and echinoids in those cliffs and of course the beautiful gault clay ammonites of folkestone!
You had quite a lot of finds. We went last week and only managed to find a worn dac and a decent tenuicostatum. Your son is doing great at splitting them open. Looking forward to your 3 day Whitby hunt and France will be interesting to see if you make a video.
Planning to do a video. Only thing about new locations is that it's not always easy to film as too busy looking
@@fossiliferous yes better to concentrate and get your eye in than to worry about making a video. I know new locations can be difficult.
Exactly or I get too excited and forget to film!
@@fossiliferous hopefully you get too excited!
Loved and Subbed❤❤❤
Thanks. Plenty videos for you to watch
Can you park and get down at Goldsborough and kettle nessus or do you have to walk all the way from Runswick thanks :)
You can park at kettleness and get down but the rope is in bad condition at the moment.
