@@imayormaynotbebatman8388they had their happily ever after... Clark lived for another 32 years. The thing is, he, as any other human, eventually dies. That happened with Lois, and also with him (considering he had a human heart that made him age like a normal human would and it was making his powers weaker). Life is not forever, even a fully powered Superman isn’t immortal (he just lives for an extremely long time usually). It’s who we are and who we love that matters most in life. I think this might be a symbolic gesture. I dont think they actually met like this. Perhaps Lex finally did see the error of his ways and came to terms with his hate and asked for forgiveness in silence as he died in prison. As for Superman, knowing how kind he his, he probably forgave him long time ago. Either way, upon seeing Lex, it's hinted that metaphorically Lex sent out a "I'm sorry" and the message was received and reciprocated.

Also because of Lois passing too a major toll on Kent's heart too. He basically was fighting against depression because of losing Lois. That's why Krypto came into Clark life and his son help but still that part that keep him going died and slowly he just didn't want to fight anymore. If you don't believe this then you have no idea of the bond Lois has the Clark.

One of the most beautiful things that this show taught me is that life is messy and unpredictable. You could be Superman and there are things that you can't do, people you can't save. That you're not really better than everyone else just because you're stronger, faster and can fly--that you can only be as good as YOU can be, even with all those powers, and even then, that's okay.
Because one thing that people forget is that the "man" is just as important as the "super", and while we debated it, Clark never let either define him. He let the people he loved and who loved him in turn do that.
And dying peacefully on your own bed in your house surrounded by your loved ones? I think that defines the perfect ending for someone like Clark Kent, for someone like Superman.

@@dex337 That won't work like that. As generation's go by the Kryptonian cells will become more and more diluted by humans until they're more or less maybe stronger than the average strong person. And I'd assume that by that point it'd just be strength. No invulnerability, no super hearing, heat vision, etc. The boys are half Kryptonian which means their kids probably will be slightly less powerful than them.
