I think I used the setting that the tool defaulted to right out of the box. The tool includes instructions on how to set it up for various types of engines, but I thought discussing all that would be excessive for the kind of video I was making.
@CrOnDYv lowering the rpm's did the trick, did everything exactly as you did (except measuring the the rpm's) just went by sound and feel. This was a great video! Thanks!!
I'm sure the info is out there somewhere on the internet, but I was pretty much going by the sound of the engine, and it's performance. I never looked up the specific factory recommendation.
That was an excellent presentation. Greetings from Ireland.👍
Thank you so much!
Thank you Buck!! VERY informative!!
Good information. What stroke setting did you use on the tac

Find a blade tip calculator. Input the blade length and calculate for 19000 fpm
Close to 3300 RPM for 22” I believe and 3400 RPM for a 21” blade.
I set them 150 below max just to be safe
does this require the engine to be running?
Excellent video thanks so much!
Thanks! I have the 6.75, and the self-propelled feature feels like I'm running! I assume adjusting the rpm's will fix this. (Hopefully)
Usually you can adjust where the cable is clamped for self propelled, on the handlebar a bit towards the motor

Where do you find the correct RPM?

Look up engine specs
It will tell you 😊
Thank you , very informative
But if you bend that tab too many times won't it get weak, loose, or God forbid even break off?
I've never had a problem with that. never. And you really don't bend it very much. A little goes a long way.
Ty, but machine should run between 2950-3100 rpm, I saw on Steve's Small Engine Saloon, 😅😅
Really you need a tack to know what to set it at, please don’t overdo it or engine will blow 😮
