- I’m finally back! Sorry for not uploading in so long, and thank you so much for 1000 subscribers!! I’ll be making a video about that shortly!
Anyway hope you enjoy this video and as always if you have any video ideas for me about any sci-fi show and I’ll consider making them! Кино
he was obviously AMAZING at his job coz my word, this guy annoyed the hell out of me, i really wanted him to get eaten by a wraith haha, he was that good of an actor :)
"I wouldn't wish being fed on by a wraith on my worst enemy... except kavanaugh, fuck that guy"
Now I remember why I thought Dr kavanaugh was a total weasel..rofl
he's so annoying 🤣
Kavanaugh is how we learned to put up with McKay.
The best part is that Shepard used the stunner on himself rather than hear Kavanaugh talk for days in the puddle jumper.
Im surprised they never had a confrontation between him and o'neil
That would’ve been fun haha
Okay but like jack would give zero shits, he been doing stupid shit for yearssssss(the message to earth part)
0:00: *_Throws device against wall at collateral velocity, because Kavanagh_*
Falco: “I’ll take McKay any day.” 🐦
Slippy: “Sheesh, Falco! You too?” 🐸
I could never figure out why they didn’t pin a marshmallow to him and feed him to the wraith…
hes good at his job, and had a toxic leader. thats why lol. Would you give up that opportunity becasue you had a dumb boss?
Kavanaugh was really tediously annoying in seasons 1 and 2 (he was absent in season 3), but he actually wasn't so bad in seasons 4 and 5...
Oh yes, he was bad in series 4 and 5. He started self destruction on the Midway station, because no one listened to his suggestions, so he shut the gate himself off by bypassing security, or stuff. Sure he wanted to help, sure he didn't do it on purpose, but his ego still couldn't bear, that everyone in the room ignored him. Same as early seasons. His ego always gets in the way of things. It's always the "I'm right, even if I'm wrong", that is typical for every situation he's in. He's an amazing character in the way he's written - to be absolutely annoying. And the actor does an eccellent job playing the part. But that's the truth about him. He is an annoying character, he's supposed to be that. Even in the later series.
8:48 Both the Wraith and Bill are looking at each other surprised how much of a coward this guy is.
"Did I just overpower him with my telepathy or something?"
love this ! I've been watching all of your stargate vids ...also low key begging for a Zelenka comp
I’m definitely planning a zelenka video soon!
@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG Stargate Atlantis: The Chronicles of Radek!
Fun series :) I liked all the characters including Kavanaugh :) Btw, those are OAKLEY prescription titanium frame glasses he's wearing :)
I can’t figure out how he kept working on Atlantis and Midway after all this.
Aside from his meta appeal as a character you love to hate? In universe, it's probably just a simple matter of there being very few people in his area of expertise (whatever that is) and him already having security clearance. They probably also wanted to keep an eye on him, tbh; the last thing you need is some disgruntled scientist blowing the top on your international space conspiracy.
@@CanidRose I was thinking the same. I mean he is one of the few people who have traveled through the Stargate to another galaxy . He is a scientist and the fact that he was chosen to be part of the Atlantis mission means that he is among the elites. If someone like that decided to blabber about everything going on in Stargate as a way to get revenge , what do you think they could do to stop him aside from killing him or ruining his career like they did to Jackson in the Stargate movie where the last parasite went back in time 🤔?
Just think about it , it would be very wasteful of them to fire him. A lot of money was invested in his training . He is a security risk that they would have to spend a lot of money on hiring a team to spy on him and keep tabs on him if he were to go back to civilian life. Not to mention who he could share the knowledge he learned while working on Atlantis... In short, too much trouble to kick him out at that point
"People in a hierarchy tend to rise to a level of respective incompetence" - The Peter Principle
I mean he wasn’t wrong about weir, she let personal feelings cloud her judgement and in the end she was wrong. Multiple times.
But not in the instances he thought he was right which still means he was an emotional dickhead.
If he hates his life as a scientist for the air force so much, why is he even there lol. He strikes me as the kind of guy who just want someone to blame for his troubles. Deep down he knows that if he found another job, he would just ruin it for himself there too because the problem is him and not everybody else
It's funny to see that if you insert an incredibly misogynistic character who is always wrong that he will still have his misogynistic fanboys because they love being able to identify with a toolbag.
I love Weir
That alone was a perfect example of how she still handled leading an expedition even as a civilian
2:16->2:18 took me wayyy too long to get that...
Still waiting on Rodney vs Sam! 😭😭😭
I’m so sorry, I’ve been super busy lately but I am in the making of lots more videos and that’s one of them!
As I consider his acting position in this episode… I don’t recall seeing him in any other episodes? Unless he was chosen for this role specifically?
Kavanagh's a tool,but a loveable one!
True, He’s funnier in season 3 and 4
Looking forward to watching those series again,I love Stargate Atlantis.
It would be more interesting if he'd really be right about that puddlejumper
2:15 omg take that out of context.
Dr. Kavanaugh being right every time but for the sake of making the hero's look good, he is shamed into looking bad.
Precisely. Especially the first episode he is in.
Huh, typical.
he was always right and weir incompetant
