    Jesy is unbelievably good. Honestly I think that she should attempted on high notes higher than C#5 more often because she's the only girl in little mix that has NEVER sounded tired. I agree with pretty much everything that you said so yea I really like this video a lot. (Can't wait for Jade and also COME ON JESY SLAYYY THE TOUR)

    Yesss my girl Jesy will shout Joan Of Arc on tour, I hope she sings the Notice C#5 if they perform it. Oh and I have a question for you: what do you think Jesy's voice type is? I believe she's a soprano, people love to say she's a mezzo because she usually sing lows, but her ease on notes like Eb5 makes her a soprano to me.

    She's actually a pretty good belter, she has a lot more ease in the upper belts than Jade, and she doesn't sound throaty and strained like Perrie often is. It's a shame she doesn't get many belts above C5/C#5.

    A few thoughts that I had:
    1. Jesy was probably the most consistent in the group because whatever she could sing with a grounded sound, she sang those notes consistently (A3-B4 is her full grounded range in chest voice, and is also her consistent grounded range)
    2. From a technical point of view, Jesy actually has the worst lows of the four despite singing all of the low parts (just as you said, her lows below A3 are airy, and mostly inaudible because her entire chest register in the lower third octave is disconnected... there are very few moments where low notes below A3 aren't airy for her)
    3. Jesy's upper register is criminally underrated (even though her head voice is not technically great, it is, in my opinion, beautiful 😍)
    4. I was never fond of that fake vibrato Jesy added to her sustained notes (it's noticeably fake because oscillations with natural vibrato are always from one note and the semitone, and sometimes even the note below it, not the semitone above, which is the type of oscillation present in Jesy's fake vibrato)
    5. Jesy sounds very similar to Jade, especially in the mid-belting area (Bb4-Eb5) so sometimes it's difficult to distinguish between the two
    6. Jesy was the only one in the group who truly knew her limits because she rarely belted beyond her grounded range (I can't say the same for low notes though, but I guess it's because Jade had to take the falsetto that Jesy was made to sing the low parts)

    • @eleeveeayees3425
      @eleeveeayees3425 2 года назад

      I agree I think Jade and Jesy have almost the same vocal weight but different in colors and textures, Leigh Anne has the lightest voice and Perrie has the heaviest voice.

    • @varunravi27
      @varunravi27 2 года назад +1

      @@eleeveeayees3425 Jade and Jesy have a similar texture but Jesy's voice is darker and heavier. Also, Jade has the lightest voice, not Leigh-Anne. Jade is overly chesty when she sings in her mid-belting range so her voice seems bigger than it actually is. Leigh-Anne's voice is quite light too but it's a bit darker and heavier than Jade's.

    • @eleeveeayees3425
      @eleeveeayees3425 2 года назад

      @@varunravi27 I see because sometimes Leigh Anne sounds like she's almost as light like Ariana.

    It pisses me off the fact that she's hitting F5s and F#5s or even higher when she's hyping the crowd but she choose not to belt those notes in their songs. She does not do much belts and ad libs or have a solo or lead in chorus part of their songs.

    You’re going to have to do a degree or more before you decide what a ‘supported’ voice is. Honestly, show me a reference for a peer-reviewed article in the science of vocal production and I’ll rescind my comment but sis, RUclips training doesn’t count. Much love

    • @olliereading
      @olliereading 4 года назад

      We need to lose this notion of ‘support’ that RUclips proliferates - it is an outdated term and based on prior notions of the voice when classical music or else opera was the primary singing style; before science understood how the vocal chords work.
      There are two sets of vocal chords - one set is what you would describe as a ‘belt’ and the other is ‘head voice’ or ‘falsetto’ (scientifically they are the literal same thing depending on how much air the singer chooses to allow between them and the thickness of the chords)
      Belting or chest voice is innately a controlled form of shouting.
      ‘Head voice’ is the other. The quality of both is dictated by the thickness of the chords.
      The singer must then manipulate those in relation with the resonance chamber they choose - nasal placed or throat based, for the two extremes.
      ‘Mix’ is when both sets of vocal chords are active to create the sound.
      Peace
