K'Sante is very explicitly Monster Hunter inspired. He literally comes from a village of monster hunters. He has a book of notes on monsters and their ecology with how to defeat them. He used the monster's materials to upgrade his weapons. Parts of his theme sounds like a Monster Hunter track that had African music influences. And he uses Tonfas which are a weapon in Monster Hunter Frontier. This champion was made for me.
There's really no other creator here on youtube that does these kinds of videos on League's music. There's some that break down the production, some who do reactions, but nobody does these interpretations of the mood and the storytelling. Man, and your content is just so great and unique.
I think us layman can decipher it too, but not in a conscious manner, we just usually feel the emotions from where the music is leading us without understanding the how or why
as someone who studies music in college, it IS a language. not necessarily one on communicating specific things, but more a language of ideas and concepts in auditory form.
This guy is so accurate that I swear it is easy to doubt the fact that he haven't seen art, videos and lore on characters he makes. Also I am still hoping that you'll cover Phantom and Crimson Solitaire from Arknights - I legit cannot think of better thing for you than Opera themed stuff.
League champs use very worn themes, well enough and they add a bit of LoL flair, but there is very little in this game that hasn't been done before in one way or another
I am impressed, but to be honest, there's a bit of confirmation bias in this. When you really think about it, what he says is somewhat vague, in this case it could apply to a good chunck of LoL champions. We are biased in that we make the connections between anything he says and what might fit, and we naturally ignore what might not. This is not to say that he's not good at it, or that he's tricking us. I do believe that he's genuine about it. But it's interesting to see how our brains work.
Please do Kayle and Morgana's themes next. They're one of the few champions that shares a theme so I think that could be an interesting challengw for you. And it's just simply divine.
I LOVE the rising chords as we get near the end of this theme. Like, holy crap the POWER in that. It feels like pure adrenaline. It's the kind of music that truly trancends all barriers of things like language, and it just delivers raw emotion. Another good theme to cover for you would be Sylas. Such a great theme, one of Riot's best.
You've gotta check out Nilah's theme! It's very different compared to other champion's themes as it pulls from Indian music. The vocals are just divine

It's hilarious that the weakest part of the game universe is the game itself. It isn't the show, the trailers, the music, or the lore, it's the game itself, simply due to the players themselves.
Best interpretation I've ever heard of K'Sante's lore it is surprising however how much he managed to recover from the theme so quickly I can see how well he has trained his mind to find all of the lore within the magic of music!

Man your content is an absolute gem. I love seeing you break apart these amazing pieces of music, and come to many conclusions I have and reached while listening and some I hadn’t thought of. I love how expressive you are, your facial expressions being what I inwardly feel when listening to this music. And seeing you vibing so hard to K’sante’s theme meant that I also had to vibe hard to his theme. Keep up the good work. There are tons of league themes, though some of the best you havn’t covered yet are irelia, bard, mordekaiser, Aatrox and Aurelion Sol. Aurelion Sol happens to be my favourite character and i’m really interested how you perceive his theme when you eventually get round to it. It won’t be as complex an analysis as some you’ve covered, but the emotions it has within it hit harder than any other theme (except maybe Jhin’s violin solo I almost cry every time at that part).

Seeing some of the comments here, persons forget that music, like poems, books and movies etc, can be analyzed. In this case, the theme was designed to give a feel for the champion, even if you have no knowledge of music theory, you still get a vibe for the champion. So it's not surprising that someone with a significantly better understanding of music can deduce the intent of the piece.

ABSOLUTELY 1 BILLION PERCENT reccomend listening to Bel'Veth's theme if you haven't already, it is easily my favorite League Champion Theme. And that is saying something when competing with the likes of Pantheons' and Viego's

Oh I was looking forward to this! Glad you caught a new theme. It might be one of my favorites from the recent couple of years. Azir would be a great next video, for lore context. I'd also love to see you react to Lissandra's theme. No idea if you could guess what she's about from it, I just really love this piece. They also published a short insight into making of the music back when they released her and the Freljord map.
(Only halfway thru the vid atm) The “quiet contemplation” part that comes after the first “pride and power” section makes it seem like he was always a proud, vain person, then fell from grace pretty hard, causing deep self-reflection. Eventually, he cast away his pride and moved forwards in a genuine way, coming back a stronger man, and more importantly, a _better_ man. The music coming back in full blast reflects this, I think.

Well, K'Sante is named Pride of Nazumah, and Marco mentioned it in the beginning. Doesn't diminish catching all the intended motives, but since he has to put on the music for himself without assistant - he's gonna see names and titles
Great reaction and analysis, can recommend you trying to listen to Braum and Ornns themes as well. Ornn having kinda 2, a theme for him specifically and a song that in lore tells you how to find him

You're really good at reading the story and emotions in music and Riot is definitely good at making music that explains the story and character in their theme.

Though I think Pathfinder would be a little more interesting. And also because the second you touch anything from Fate, the Fate fans will start flooding in FAST lol

For now he is isolated from other champions, introducing us to this new region but maybe his path will indeed cross with Azir, Xerath, Nasus or Renekton. It's cool to learn that Xerath has gone as low as to use the holy sundics on fauna to create monsters and I can't help but wonder what the Darkin would think of that and if they still care for the sundisc after all this time.
First 2 min and you got him, I simply love K'sante, giga chad man goes against facism, slavery and big ass monsters all the while dealing with his mistakes and all he has lost because of his own pride
You should check out Ornn's theme in the near future, i think it portrays the personality of the champion beautifully and that it's one of those characters that don't get all the love they deserve, and i think you would really like the theme too!

This is K'Sante, a champion with 4,700 HP, 329 Armor, and 201 MR, has Unstoppable, a Shield, and goes over walls. Has Airborne, and the cooldown is only 1 second too. It costs 15 Mana. The W CD is even refreshed when he transforms. He has true damage on his passive. Then, when he stacks Armor and MR, he gets Ability Haste too, Ability Haste to his Q, and his spell casting speeds up. Then, he has an AD ratio, so his W…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Would definitely like to see Mordekaiser or as many in the comment section have said Aatrox. They are definitely more of the fleshed out characters and have amazing music that fits extremely well to their personality.

In certain sections of the music you can hear trumpets being played in bursts of three and whenever I hear them it reminds me of the opening of the Lil Nas X song "Industry baby." Since Riot was working closely with Lil Nas during the creation of K'Sante, and the fact that Nas and K'Sante are openly gay in their respective mediums, it makes me wonder if the composers put in those trumpets in the music as an easter egg or tribute to Lil Nas.

Sorry for the unrelated topic, but as a Talon main it makes me sad that there's not a specific theme for him. The closest thing we have is the 2017 season login screen theme, but if I recall correctly it wasn't focused on talon so much as the reworked and new assassin champions. Maybe you'd be able to figure out who Katarina (The Sinister Blade), and Talon (The Blade's Shadow) are from that, but I don't know. I'm not sure if it would make a decent video so I don't really hold any hopes for it happening.

You should check out Ornn's theme in the near future, i think it portrays the personality of the champion beautifully and that it's one of those characters that don't get all the love they deserve, and i think you would really like the theme too!

This is K'Sante, a champion with 4,700 HP, 329 Armor, and 201 MR, has Unstoppable, a Shield, and goes over walls. Has Airborne, and the cooldown is only 1 second too. It costs 15 Mana. The W CD is even refreshed when he transforms. He has true damage on his passive. Then, when he stacks Armor and MR, he gets Ability Haste too, Ability Haste to his Q, and his spell casting speeds up. Then, he has an AD ratio, so his W…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

In certain sections of the music you can hear trumpets being played in bursts of three and whenever I hear them it reminds me of the opening of the Lil Nas X song "Industry baby." Since Riot was working closely with Lil Nas during the creation of K'Sante, and the fact that Nas and K'Sante are openly gay in their respective mediums, it makes me wonder if the composers put in those trumpets in the music as an easter egg or tribute to Lil Nas.

Sorry for the unrelated topic, but as a Talon main it makes me sad that there's not a specific theme for him. The closest thing we have is the 2017 season login screen theme, but if I recall correctly it wasn't focused on talon so much as the reworked and new assassin champions. Maybe you'd be able to figure out who Katarina (The Sinister Blade), and Talon (The Blade's Shadow) are from that, but I don't know. I'm not sure if it would make a decent video so I don't really hold any hopes for it happening.
