4:40 Armor is red. Ammunition is critical. Civilians have not yet finished evacuating from defensive perimeter. New inbound enemy contacts detected. Cycling remaining weapon groups, and engaging.
''warning , heat sinks at critical capacity , emergency venting at maximum capacity warning critical fractures in all exterior armour plating warning munition reserves low..'' shut it! disable reactor safty guards! improvise weapon feeding belt 1-3 as heat sinks! ...out of ammo? HA! i got my Axe might aswell improvise the overheating as thermal blinding and close quarter armour melting plasma torches then and sod long range , COMP! all empty guns power into the leg servos and shielding hehehehehe! COME AT ME YOU BASTARDS! I BUTCHERED A LEGIONS WORTH OF YOU ALREADY! ;)

The only thing that would've made this DLC better for me was if they also put in the Axeman. I love the Hatchetman, but it's not very viable in higher tonnage contracts.
I wouldn't worry. Modders are on this. I am working on a Berserker (sometime soon anyhow). Another modder made the hatchetman before this DLC came out, and it sounds like that character model will be repurposed as the axeman. This stuff takes lots of time, though.
@@DarthWall275 nha.. axe or mace is the way to go for a beautifully brutal blend of metal and cybernetic interfaces making machine and mind as one! ....crushing or carving up frames in close quaters thats made to take literal toons of high velocity lead without breaking is work for brutal blunt tools , its not slicing work ...then agen , plasma katana or plasma broad sword perhaps hmm ;) never played this though :/ i sort of stayed away from a lot of 'modern' titles do to the obnoxious drm or 'game store' crap a lot of them involves :(
Well, this certainly takes things in a more unique (and dare I say better) direction than most of the MW5's OST, what with the throat singing, added electronics and what sounds like machinery. Glad to see there's finally greater variety in the soundtrack.
@@TheRUSTYTINMAN97 Looks like you're the only one who cared to upload the soundtrack. I have a playlist of 178 MechWarrior, MechCommander 2, and Mech Assault tracks that I listen too. I'm eager to add more XD

26:00 When your armor is flashing and you hear heat warnings, but you can't stop because it's too much fun.
The true Orion experience.

If only the Berserker fell under the timeline for mechs in MW5.

Bro, the AXM-2N is my favorite Mech of all time. Swap out the LRMs for SRM6s, and you have a fucking monster
Hatamoto-Chi with Katana. That is all.

21:28 for some reason, whenever that theme plays, the Draconis Combine comes to my mind

The horns in Spearhead lend a bit more of a militaristic flair. Seems they wanted to walk the line on maintaining a bit of 80's flair for most of it.
Honestly, the mech is just ok. You need good support mechs alongside for you to really take advantage of the Hatchet
Brilliant soundtrack once again. Really enjoyed.
Get a victor... put a 4 pip assault ax in his hand... almost 100 damage... Hatchet man what?
Is it possible to get a playlist of the individual tracks?
I don't mind doing it eventually for all the tracks. I was banking on someone else getting to it before me but it looks like no one has yet.

You’re the last one.
Finish the mission.
@@ryanh7844 @Philemon lol alrighty
Was the 'blackend wings' track inspired by Kara readers from battlestar galactia?
Mechwarrior OSTs have pretty much always been like this and the MEchwarrior games predate NuBattlestar
When blackened winds kick in even Star League goes down
Ah, but this doth slappeth!!
