    @09:47 Marcus Miller - 03.11.23
    Marcus' update👇
    www.marcusmill...
    Marcus's bassline is NEVER TOO MUCH!!! (needless to say, he came up with and played the famous bassline on Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much"). He was the main songwriter and producer on three of Miles Davis' albums: Tutu (1986), Music from Siesta (1987), and Amandla (1989). I personally saw him played solo live and also played with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock live. Each time, I see him plays I get blown away!!!
    "Marcus was the best bass player I had in a long, long time" ~ Miles Davis
    @00:18 Derrik Hodge - 02.27.23
    Derrik's update👇
    derrickhodge.com/
    Derrik has been awarded two Grammys, named a Sundance Composer Fellow, received a Motif Award; one of world's highest honors for Child Advocacy, and his playing on Common's BE has been recognized as one of top 20 basslines in Hip Hop History. As Musical Director, he has worked with luminaries including Yasiin Bey, Nas, and notably held the position with Maxwell from 2009 to 2019. I saw him played numerous times, he is an amazing supa Bass legend!!! Derrik Hodge appeared on Jeezy's tiny desk concert lately:) 👇

    @04:32 Victor Wooten - 04.11.23
    Victor's update👇
    www.victorwoot...
    Victor is the recipient of five Grammy Awards. He won the Bass Player of the Year award from Bass Player magazine three times and is the first person to win the award more than once. In 2011, he was ranked No. 10 in the Top 10 Bassists of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine:)
    This was my first-time seeing Victor's live. He got crowd ELATED BEYOND, WOOT WOOT!!!:)
    @15:21 Stanley Clarke - 02.11.24
    Stanley's update👇
    stanleyclarke....
    He is the first jazz-fusion bassist to headline tours, sell out shows worldwide and have recordings reach gold status. Stanley is a 5-time Grammy winner, with 15 nominations, 3 as a solo artist, 1 with the Stanley Clarke Band, and 1 with Return to Forever. He was selected to become a 2022 recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Fellowship. A Stanley Clarke electric bass is permanently on display at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. This was my second time seeing Stanley da living legend's live. I was BLOWN AWAY experiencing it at the front row:)
    @17:46 Salar Nader - 02.11.24 (Afghan Tabla Master )
    Salar's update 👇

    I am sorry I just realized that Afghan Tabla Master's name got auto-"in"-corrected. His name is Salar Nader. OMG he was SO AMAZING!!! You gotta check him out!!!!!!!!!!!
