    Kids who were raised on these pure sit-coms really understand people more than kids today. Today, social media is crippling our youth.

      I Completely and Wholeheartedly Agree with you Sir . If you watch the television shows from the late 50's to the mid 60's . The entertainment was definitely more family oriented and delivered lessons in morality and tolerance that are lost in today's society and the younger generation is missing out on life's valuable lessons.

      "Always remain" is REDUNDANT.

    • @terri6854
      @terri6854 Год назад +1

      No, it's not redundant. The word Remain doesn't contain the idea of permanence by itself and because it's usually followed by some phrase specifying a time limit, you need to add Always to emphasize that there is no limit in this case. If you removed the word Always the sentence would sound strange and vague as if written by a non-native English speaker.

    • @trwent
      @trwent Год назад

      @Terri The fact that if you simply remove a word from a statement, that statement would sound awkward or corny, does NOT prove that the statement is not redundant. "Always remain" IS redundant, but the solution is NOT to remove the word "always", it is to remove the word "remain" and put the word "be" in place of it. So the sentence would be written "Donna Douglas will always be eternally, angellically beautiful."

    I watched the Beverly Hillbillies since the first episode and Donna Douglas has always been just the sweetest character ever as Ely Mae, What got me was the wonderful way she greeted Buddy Ebsen, and then at scene 7:30 as Buddy starts to sit down, he is about to miss the chair and Donna reaches out and takes his arm and pulls him back on course. Just a sweet act of kindness that seems to stem from a deep affection for Mr. Ebsen

    I just recently started watching some of the Beverly hillbillies on RUclips.... I cannot tell you how much I have laughed because this is the funniest show I think that has ever been on TV...... When it was on air I was just a teenager and had just pretty much started dating so I wasn't home to watch this stuff.... However I did see some of the episodes....
    And not too long ago my sister showed me a picture of her with Is Donna Douglas.... She was absolutely beautiful.
    Max Baer This was so handsome..and still is.... Ryan was the epitome of a granny I mean that woman was hilarious she was asked🎉 the character downright crazy... Buddy Ebsen's His character kept everyone grounded.... Accept the character of Jethro...
    Just the best shows that I think TV has ever had and if anyone really related these people to their characters after they got off the show then they don't know much about movies and acting because you cannot relate that to what they are you have to relate to whom they are and they were great actors

    It was the summer of 1977 or 1978 while vacationing with my friends family ob Balboa Island. Report Beach in Orange County California about 7 of us kids decided we wanted to go to the wedge that day. We didn't have enough bikes for all of us so we walked and along the walk to the ferry that crosses over to the peninsula we were about to pass by Buddy Epsons house. At the time he was Barnaby Jones but our age group grew up on Beverly Hillbillies reruns. His home was custom he lived. There many Years and you could see it several lots in front of us so we started talking about him. It was either 7 young teens talking to loud or more likely our age group and Buddy enjoying being his friendly recognizable self but as we approached his home there he was standing in the internal staircase looking out the tinted window from the second story warm friendly smile on his face waving to us. No words were exchanged but that had to have been our first celebrity sighting for most of us we were all pretty excited after that hell its been over 40 years and ive been kneed in the back by Frank Sinatra shaken hands and spoke to President Ford ive spoken to Gary Busey about Buddy Holly just to mention a few and im getting really excited remembering that summer morning over four decades ago i hope who reads this feels some of that excitement i feel now remembering this and the excitement of that lucky timing morning. Summer Vacation. Over 40 years ago and it seems more like 4 years ago.......peace.

    Who didn't LOVE Buddy Ebsen? I may have watched some of this before, or it might have been another show with a very aged male actor. The first thing that I thought of was to Wikipedia when Buddy died. He must have died not too long after this show. I did this when I looked at the Gilligan's Island Reunion. Now I didn't watch a lot of The Beverly Hillbillies but I did watch the show like so many Americans and even people all over the world. I think it is kind of weird that people watch American TV shows. I guess a lot of countries do not have an entertainment industry. And that noted most countries OUTSIDE of the USA do not have ACTORS and CELEBRITIES that influence the people who bring the NEWS to a country. In the USA the ACTORS and the entertainment INDUSTRY and the CORPORATIONS all OWN the MAIN STREAM MEDIA. So we get NEWS that BIG MONEY wants the MASSES to hear. SO MUCH FOR AN OBJECTIVE PRESS or JOURNALISM.

      @@kathrynmolesa1641 I did some research. I'm NOT the only person who thought it was Buddy Ebsen, many people said "It looks like and sounds like him" and it does. However, with more digging I found out it was an actor named "Mitchell
      Lewis". I couldn't find anything else about it.

    It's too bad Max couldn't get approval for his 200 ft oil derrick in Douglas county. I think it would have been a really successful casino if the project had been completed. At least he doubled his money on the land while holding it waiting for the city to make their decision. I don't even remember the Springer show being this normal and on the level. I've always thought it was chaotic from day one. Wierd.

      I heard the short-sighted politician/ casino owners put the kibosh on it. Dumbest move ever. It would have drawn tourists from Vegas and made Reno #1 destination

    In talking about Ebsen's accomplishments, Springer left out the fact that he danced with Shirley Temple.

    Donna Douglas was in the The Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder" where she played an "ugly" woman (if you can believe that one).

    How in the heck did Jerry's show go from hosting entire casts of iconic American TV and film legends, to midget fights? At some point after this show it must have gone into free fall.

    This was shot in 1993. Nancy Kulp died of cancer in 1991. I have a feeling had she been alive and had the health to do it she would have been on this stage as well as the others.
