Hello RUclips, I am Malcolm Merlyn. As most of you are aware, there are a lot of different scammers out there and these include Nigerian prince email scammers, Indian tech support scammers, IRS scammers and others. They have been around for over 10 years now and they don’t seem to be going anywhere. After getting a lot of calls, sometimes very early in the morning I have decided enough is enough. If the government won’t shut down these pests then I will.
I created some virtual machines and started calling scammers using a fake caller ID. The calls were quite hilarious so I started uploading them on RUclips; this was great as I was raising awareness about scams while also earning money. In total I have called scammers over ten thousand times in the past year and a half. I created a number of programs to annoy them including a call flooder that can call the scammers many times per minute which overloads their phones.

Basic RAT'ing a terminal is great an all but when they re-install thier OS they can just scam again.
Might i suggest a bios/uefi rootkit to embed the RAT everytime the pc is booted.
Then everytime the computer is fixed the RAT is reinstalled from the bios.
Usually the only fix for this if it's ever detected is to replace bios or buy new laptop.

I’ve gotten calls from people like these. I always tell them my computer is making a funny noise. I tell them that I’m turning my computer on so they can hear the noise. What is actually going on is me walking outside to my car while putting my phone on speaker phone. Then I place my phone on the hood of the car. I open my car door then I honk my horn with a long press. I then get back to my phone and ask if they heard the noise? Most times they have hung up (and now probably deaf) never call back again.

Hank Bridges No. You are forgetting that most of these scammers are wearing headphones or headsets. Putting a phone on speaker 🔈 doesn’t lower the volume on their end. They are hearing sound sent through the microphone on the phone.

There's scam texts going around in the UK atm saying you're due a refund from the council, so like a council tax refund. I deleted the text so don't have the number but in the text it'll say follow this link below to start refund process etc. Anyways the county councils don't text and having googled about this it's certainly a scam. So anyone in the UK whom receives a text like that is best to ignore it and is best not to press the link.

I'm sure the dislikes are from the scammers, I'm just concerned they would use this video to shore up their vulnerabilities.
I doubt. Criminals all make the same mistake, and that is to repeat the same way of working (modus operandi) again and again if they once where successful with that particular way of working. Thats how the police will catch the in the end of the day. They become predictable. And however this fact is widely known, also among criminals, the majority of them still do it. I think this is caused by the same mindset which make one a criminal. They just dont get it because they cant.
Compare it to car chases. In the end they all got caught (less then 1% really get away) but they all firmly believe they belong to that less then 1% group. It is in the criminals mindset to highly overestimate themselves. The more succes they have with "their way" (modus operandi) the more they believe that this is the "golden" way and they will never be caught. The level of self overestimating rises and mistakes are made. And then, suddenly, there is the police. There are just a very few which got away with the crime they committed.
The second reason why i doubt is the fact they actually dont know so much about computers. What they do is a lot of smart talk to vulnerable persons who give away important information like passwords. Syskeying is not even hacking. Simply give your system a password block this whole possibility for them. If they can hack so good as they pretend, then hack a bank was a better way to gain wealth. One crime, one trace. With scamming they leave thousands of traces and sometime even accidentally call real police or real hackers.

This may not mean something in English but when translated to my language it is "Não dê uma de espertinho" which is a common used phrase here, meaning "Don't be a smartass".

I just thought of something:
You should have "practice" sessions with a buddy over TeamViewer, just to find out the quickest way to black out the scammer's screen (using keyboard shortcuts) and download his files or whatever. It's like practicing speedruns, but for scam-baiting. :) This way, when a scammer gives you control via TeamViewer you know the most optimal route to download his files or perhaps leave a virus on his system etc. Not a second wasted!
