i remember hearing this on the radio back in the day,and spending like two weeks trying to find out who sang it,and when i did,wow the greatest rock band on planet earth.
First time I saw them was in 1984 opening up for KISS . I liked them so much I ordered their debut album that wasn't in the stores yet ... weeks later it arrived and I loved it. Runway is probably my favourite BJ track , good to see it has become one their live staples
I like the way they show the interaction between the whole band and the audience by the stage screen... feeling really good ! Tks a lot for the video.😆😆
@@jbj..9370 I was there to and was fantastic bought every album since I was 13 40 yrs on still listening to bon jovi and lucky enough to have seen them live where they really do shine
Too all of the people talking about how bad the sound is...I’ve beyond the same job for 30 years and I can’t do the same things I could 15 years ago! It’s called life! Enjoy and be glad that they are still playing music!!
Notice how Phil X did not start out right. Cut it short. Richie never did that. Wish Richie was back so bad, he could also help Jon on those vocals that are low. Listen to when Phil starts and you will hear it, and see it.
Phil X is ten times the player Ritchie is. Sorry, man, I love Ritchie and miss him in the band, but Phil is great in his own right and the intro sounded fine. Maybe he doesn't use the Floyd rose, but his timing was on point. Jon on the other hand sounds like he's choking.
@@PetersRockinTheWorld not taking anything away from Phil X, yes he is good, but he will never be as good as Richie. listen to the Richie verson and the Phil X, and you will see and here what i'm saying.
Monday 15th October 1984, Wembley Arena , Bon Jovi opened up for KISS....so Bon Jovi were the first live band I saw, and yes, they played 'Runaway' (twice I think!)
No, the 'Lick it Up' tour was in '83.....Animalize was 1984 and Bruce Kullick became a member of the band. The UK leg included dates in Leicester, Ipswich & St.Austell among others. Bon Jovi's first album had song good tracks, with my favourite, 'Shot Through The Heart' included.

Excellent intro, however it sounds like he trying to sing it too slow / delayed against the music - not sure if this is intentional or he's either out of breath or can no longer hit the high notes? Shame as I love the early stuff. I must be honest though we saw Bon Jovi live then a few weeks later watched a tribute act and the tribute act were actually better - OK, they did not have the big fanfare but the vocals were spot on.

Yeah, why do guys like Mick Jagger sound almost exactly the same and guys like JBJ completely lose it?????? Isn't Jagger like 25 years older and been touring for 50+ years???????????????
It's hard to believe these people will go see this guy play without Richie. I wonder if people would go see the Rolling Stones without Keith Richards? They probably would. People suck. They'll consume anything: food, media. GMOs- whatever the establishment puts in front of their faces.
alecr666x Richie did a good job with solos in this band and vocals made the backup sound a lot better especially on the slippery on when wet tour check out runway Richie kills it

Tim Pierce played the guitars and solo on the studio version ... fact

ever heard that. He is not credited with anything, only Richie.
@@overthinkerblue4637 research it ... Tim is a studio guitarist ... he has a RUclips lesson on this song and he is credited...

That's what bands do when they go on tour they say the same thing every nite.Everyone should know this these days

Wish I had seen them in their heyday, wouldn't pay to see them now!
Last time iv seen them , was in Bristol football place ,think was few years a go. he's voice was ok, nut the food was crap and expensive
Bring Ritchie back damn it! He was the best singer in that band
Richie is died already

I'm a big fan but they should have hung it up when Richie left. This sounds so poor. Sad to see Jon struggle to sing now.

Get the fuck out of here if u don’t like. For us the solid fans of BJV, they are still the best and legend.
😔 god that sounds terrible 😔 been a fan 92 and this is heart breaking to hear
Jon songs like he's had a stroke.
Being on tour stresses your voice. Plus, he smoked. Don't know if he still does. That, and age of course.
Its called..getting old.
Should just let Phil sing it.
Maybe his hearing has gone so he doesn't know how bad his voice really is now !!!!

legend is still a legend what ever happened that's why the croud is still the same at his young age
The Crowd Is DEAD

Nice to him? So it's not a band...

And I thought Paul Stanley had issues.

WOW, dude STOP , JUST STOP !! your are ruining your credit. This sounds soooo bad. He is always behind with the words and ...am out!
Nice song and video, but bon Jovi is a liar. He said he will give a fender black stratocaster when we bought their cd album...
see the end of the song jon don t , play guitar, jon can t sing alive anymore!!
MAGA

Funnily enough the guitar and solo on Runaway were played by session god Tim Pierce, not Richie...
