    Hey I know that guy! He gets no bitches but stacks some paper via forklift certification.
    Just to clarify, my main point about the ADS speed being nerfed along with other changes, is that it doesn't feel as good to play. I've been playing since year 2 and have 3000 hours in the game, so I've been through all the eras. When I talked about the utility meta, my purpose in regards to gunfighting was that at the time all guns were more powerful in everyway. But despite this, people still wanted the game to focus less on the utility simulator and more on the moment to moment action and gunfighting.
    However, since the utility meta ended the player base has continued to favor gunfighting over utility more and more. My main argument in the video is that this is natural because most people will find guns to be more fun than gadgets. And also very important, as the player-base improves, they will be more able to leverage their own abilities over operator abilities, leading more people to favor gunfighting.
    If Ubisoft wants the game to focus more on utility and gadgets (not the utility meta again but something in between). They need to make using gadgets more fun. Gunfighting and getting kills is fun, and by making gunplay slow and clunkier you aren't making the gadgets more appealing, it just makes the game less fun overall.

      But what's not fun in gadgets and tactics? Winning after using tactical planning and utility is fun. The thing is that it doesn't give as big load of dopamine as going run n' gun, but on the other hand there are many players (and i would argue that it rather is the bigger part of the playerbase) that came to play this game EXACTLY because they found tactics, planning and gadgets more enjoyable
      And if so many people like to just run n' gun in R6 then it begs the question: Why these people play R6 and not any other fps oriented on run n' gun like any of the Battlefields, CS 2, WW 3 or Arma 3 ? In what way R6 makes run n' gun better?
      And in direct response to your comment, how can Ubisoft make gadgets more fun?

      @@Majster4K So I used to be a Tachanka main but I always leaned to Kapkan and he became my full on main in siege. I play on pc with an Nintendo switch animal crossing controller so I don't win gunfights, however I LOVE his gadget. It brings me so much joy to place traps and watch people go BOOM especially if they rush in near the end. But if I don't get a point, I still help my team with hurting them and knowing where they are, so many fights my team won since the enemy got hit by a kapkan. Same with Fuze and just bombing the enemy and giggling like a school girl when they die.
      Heck most of the russian have fun gadget but for characters that have more informational gadgets, who wants to play them when if they have to defend themselves, the guns are not that fun to use or have more downsides then it's less reason to play them. All gadgets can't be fun, but the ops need to be fun in others ways to work.

    I miss the transparency we had with devs before the game blew up. Think all of the bad faith understandably made them fed up

      The devs in my interview with them not too recently said they have considered not doing certain feedback sessions at all on social media because none of the sentiment reflects what people are doing with the product.

      ​@@GGE It's definitely true that there is a noticeable disconnect at times between what the vocal parts of the community says and what people actually do with the game.
      That's not to say they're necessarily wrong, but it becomes hard not to feel like there's a disconnect somewhere, and that can be frustrating to deal with.
      On a similar note, I regularly receive feedback from people that I know to be factually wrong. It's usually a case of the perception just being off leading to some misconception, but many people will still double down even when presented evidence to the contrary.
      Reminds me a lot of A&W's "1/3 pound burger" incident.

      The problem is visually Siege doesn’t look like authentic military ops shooter. Not gameplay. People want that authentic visual look back.

      Siege doesn't have tactics or realism. There aren't set unit level tactics but rather natural synergy of fantastical devices. These wiz gizmos are used at the tactical level ei. Flashbangs but giving airsoft kids flashbangs doesn't mean tactics.
      Tactics show up at comp 5 stacks, but when is the last time you played against an established team.

      @@brandonsmoot4056 That natural synergy would be tactics, even if rather simplistic. Take Thatcher and a hard breach op as an example. That is a tactic, even if for anyone over Copper it’s merely a split second task to complete. It’s still a tactic within the game. Flashbanging every room, stacking up on a door, and then filing in with guys taking space, taking long wall vs short wall, etc would be tactics in a realistic scenario.
      In Siege, you still pie a doorway. That is a realistic tactic used within the game. You breach windows, walls, and doorways, often times with someone holding a flashbang ready to toss it when it breaks, or it’s a delayed entry and after blowing the breach charge/breaking the window or door, you toss one in yourself. Those types of decisions and actions are tactics used within the game.

      a hardcore ahooter but with grafics out of a childrens tv series? thats silly and fun
      a wholesome dating game with gothic horror aesthetics that make you wanna vomit?
      if you can believe it or not; a lot more interesting than if you had to have a matching artstyle
      ofc you dont need to have every game having this subversion but saying its a bad thing is just downright uncreative. and if it proves that your favorite games is having bigger appeal with a change in artstyle; well you just have to accept that cuz the alternative might be the game dieing
      you dont see the fortnite crowd crying over the death of its cell shaded artstyle that everything had at the beginning do ya? (well you see a few but not a lot)

      @benculbertson536 you are conflating tactical actions with tactics. Tactics are probably what you consider "strategy" -an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
      None of this is planned until you hit comp. And the art of a planned take ans execute is far an above most players of the game, it's where the game really shines and has unique appeal that you can't get in other games.
      IRL you plan a breach, you plan stacks and bangs. You pre-decicide what to do when taking a hallway with crossrooms. These are tactics. Airsoft kids "head glitching" a short wall isn't tactics.

    It sounds ridiculous but I miss when the cumulative Siege IQ was lower. People are WAY better at the game now than they used to be and that's cool, but I miss feeling like every round was a chance to do something nobody had ever seen before. You could discover a new angle or try a new strategy whereas now it feels like the game is much more "solved" and that experimental mindset is mostly gone. Everybody knows every angle and every avenue of approach. I still enjoy playing and the game is more competitive than it ever has been, I can't help feeling like it's lost something along the way.

      I feel like people are way better at a general level and way worse at a higher level, If you're playing in silver to gold, it probably feels like it's way harder.But if you're playing in platte , you're probably starting to notice that a lot of people are making it there and they don't really deserve to be there

      Good point, it has been almost 10 years of SIEGE, but just go and throw a couple games in QUICK match, then your skill rating will drop and then youll REALLY find low IQ players😂

    Even though I know new content is important, I would willingly trade an entire year of new operators and events for an entire years worth of focus on anticheat, bug-fixing, economy issues, and meaningful reworks/balance changes to get the game's overall health into a much better state.

    I think the biggest thing I dislike about modern R6: Siege, is that there is no more innovation from the playerbase, new maps are added so infrequently that there are few chances to tinker with new things.
    The Playerbase got lazy.
    Ubisoft doesn't give enough truly deep content that you can really tear apart and discover.
    Siege is a game about things playing out different from round to round, match to match. But it feels increasingly same-y the longer it goes on. If I could make 1 major change. I'd completely change the map pool "I know that's unrealistic" but it would force people to adapt or metaphorically die.

      It’s because we found ways to break the meta. From hiding spots, to unintended glitches like bandit tricking and maverick tricking that became meta.
      Now, all of the glitches that used to be capable of being meta defining get removed from the game. The meta can’t change because Ubisoft stops us everything we innovate!

      siege players DO NOT want to innovate lmao. every new map added in the last 2 years (those being Lair, Nighthaven Labs and Emerald Plains) gets INSTABANNED in ranked. every single time they add a new map nowadays it starts getting banned the moment it becomes bannable
      now, that's partly because some people just don't like the map (plains is ass i agree) but a lot of people ban new maps because they don't want to bother learning it/trying out new strategies there. they want to keep playing on oregon and play out the exact same meta matchup every time.
      a lot of the time the people banning these maps haven't even really played on the map enough to form an opinion on it, but it still gets shittalked anyway because apparently they're too "confusing" - and that definitely has nothing to do with the fact that they simply do not know the map yet.

      I hate the map bans, back when it was random you'd have to play the new maps and learn them, but now it feels like such a chore every time it works out in such a way that you actually have to play with the map you hate (and by "hate" I mean "don't know" bc most of these "bad maps" are really just fine)

      @@TennessineGD As someone who just top fragged on lair and won 4-0, emerald plains is only hated because no one learned it. We were forced to learn night haven and we now know it and like it. Lair is just a garbage map. The top floor is good, but the first floor and especially the basement need to be scrapped.

      @@ryanretrogamer7 see i have the opposite opinion. i think plains is straight up ass, especially the 2F sites, but i think lair is unironically one of the best maps in the game. it gives both sides a lot to work with and has a lot of cool setup opportunities. you need to keep track of a lot of different potential entryways as both sides if you want to win. the second floor site is my favorite in the game. the first floor sites are pretty good as well, although i agree that the basement gets kinda old with the whole oops-all-soft-ceilings thing

    Team mates that sabotage by opening walls, opening mirrors, shooting gadgets, tailing teammates to draw fire, shooting feet, taking the defuser then not planting to run out the clock, asking you to destroy Goyo fire then stepping into the fire as Dr then self healing which gets you locked out of the game for 30 minutes.

    Cheating is why I left. Not gameplay not balance. Not design. Cheating. Ubisoft never has ever been serious about cheating in ANY of their games ever. They never will be. Also if they allowed player hosted servers they could fix this issue because servers could ban or make Face It like systems in CS. It’s that simple give the community tools to host games and servers and they will take it from there.

    I play on console so cheaters aren’t an issue, it’s actually very different on this side, because the ‘TDM Meta’ has basically been around for years, people don’t seem to understand the high point of siege because without sounding like an ass the console is your average man’s avenue to gaming, allowing for far more people outside of sieges niche into the fold, which I take huge issue with

    My main was Tachanka. I was a great secure area defender and when I died, people could my turret, as well as having a shotgun AND smg. I held windows and doors especially when people needed to push like a good defender.

    After 8 years of playing siege I’m over the jiggle peeking. I remember Beaulo peeking. And I still shaiiko peek, but just because I do it doesn’t mean I like it. I want it to slow down. I’d trade a slower leaning speed for faster ADS speed in a heartbeat.
    That and I want zero to play like Sam Fisher.

    for me the lack of content made the game so stale I barely played this season. I hate playing the same 5 or 6 maps over and over and over and over. it feels like I've been playing the same season for years. and.. besides the usual 584755 nerfs, a few new ops and common looking seasonal skins.. arent we?

      To be fair the new maps are bad, Lair is ugly to look at and pain to play not because it's "new" but devs did too much to make it a pain to get around. They did the same thing with Nighthaven Labs(which is so bland visually and too large with only two sets of staircases) and Consulate(tries to be too much with its hallways). Emerald is actually pretty good besides the skybox it's neat visually an playing it isn't a chore.
      Let's say the devs got good artists and threw together a map that's nice to look at and good to play. I doubt it would get banned.
      Either way there isn't an excuse to cut back on making new maps or making them feel so bland. There's so many settings and so many different styles of architecture. A Greek map for example would be nice compared to whatever bland setting Lair or Nighthaven was supposed to be or a map like Oregon but instead its more like a farmhouse with fewer rooms that's connected to a chapel via a basement would be fun to play. It's not hard especially if you dedicate a few people and get someone that understands architecture.

    I think that something like a self-fulfilling prophecy. If a majority of the community believes and talks about the lack of "tacticool" gameplay, more people will feel inclined to play/treat it in a more arcadey-shooter way

    The only major issue I had with skins and the tone were the crazy skins like the Rick and Morty skins and the bug skins simply for the fact that it took over a year for me to finally know what operator I'm looking at when I see those skins. I think the skins should all adhere to the same silhouette for the same of target ID, and those skins didn't just cross that line, they lit the whole building on fire.

    my friends and i left siege not because the gameplay wasnt tac shooter anymore or too gunplay heavy or whatever, we left because gooblysoft abandoned any attempt to immerse players in the setting by adding silly events, cosmetics, and operators that are pure fantasy in the name of live service game profits. Setting, attention to detail in that setting, and immersion matter to the tac shooter audience. thats why a lot of them play arma even though its often a janky mess. That arma 3 vietnam DLC was probably the best tac shooter ive experience i ever had because the developers made that with commitment to the setting. it has the sauce. R6 no longer has it and it hasnt had that for a while.

      The new ops don't bother me, what does is the art direction for the newer maps. Lair and Nighthaven don't feel like real places to me they are bland and ugly visually. Consulate has way too many hallways and Emerald has a depressing skybox.
      Older maps felt like they were real places, they looked good visually and felt good to navigate. If the devs tried they could still make maps like that. The new Greek OP for example is a perfect setup for a Greek map or they could just come up with different scenarios like a site where a cult is set up where a church is connected to a modestly sized house through an underground basement l, sure it sounds like Oregon, but sites involving the chapel and house are simple whereas the basement is complicated since a lot more is happening since there is more rooms than either the main house or chapel.

    Respectfully, I think G misinterpeted what Spadez's was trying to convey on the ADS changes. It isn't a matter of "eports slop" or "hur dur tactical", but the nature of gunfights within siege. More times than not the gun fights of Siege are sporadic, or sudden. Spadez even mentions that during the height of the Util meta, guns were in fact far stronger than they are today, yet were not the main focus of the gameplay or meta. It was only once the constant nerfing of utility and slowing down of the ads, that eventually lead to THE LMG meta. Soon after that died off people would find themselves constantly flocking to operators with fragging potential for the TDM meta, just look at Warden before this operation as a simple example. He was one of the last remaining defenders with low recoil and a 1.5. At the end of the day people will gravitate torwards stronger weapons, which then leads to more people choosing fragger ops over utility operators because Ubisoft can't let an operator have both outside of the rare occasions like Ace.
    Idk jus my unnecessary 2 cents about it all. Sorry for gettin away from the topic pf ADS and more unto the importance of the gunplay in siege.

    My main point about the "tonal issues" is that what was promised about rainbow six siege and what we have gotten are not the same thing, which is fine but I really wanted a shooter that focused alot more on what was shown in the original trailer. I also hate being put in the same camp as the "why black, women, trans in military" group, since I don't give a shit about that lmao

      Same, I just wanna complain about the art direction of the maps. I don't like looking at Lair, I don't like how Consulate has too many hallways, and I don't like how mono Nighthaven is.
      It feels like these new devs don't know a thing about how a building is designed or how to make it visually appealing. The amount of maps they can make is technically limitless, there so many styles to take inspiration from and so many different stories to tell.

    I see what you are saying regarding the aesthetic/art direction, but I still disagree. Most of the issues regarding it are A) The lack of consistency in aesthetic design, B) the lack of narrative consistency, and C) the narrative direction as a whole. First of all, Just because the gameplay is not tacticool does not mean that the operators don't have to look the part. Tarkov is unrealistic and not tactical at all (6k hours btw), but it still maintains narrative and aesthetic consistency. If most of the scavs suddenly looked like Nikki Minaj I would dislike that. This is a legitimate complaint most people have with R6 right now. It was marketed as a high stakes serious game and it WAS (Narrative/aesthetics wise, not gameplay wise) for quite some time. Around when they shifted to Harry, they really changed the direction and it is clear to me that Ubi wants to avoid the potential political side to being grounded. Yes, some of the newer operators look good, but a lot of them are designed more so to look like a unique character than an actual operator. Dokkaebi (for example - she is far from the worst) does not look like a special forces operator. she looks like that girl you saw in a coffee shop that you were too shy to say hi to. None of her gear is the kind of thing you would see any opps wearing, and she is clearly designed to be an attractive woman more than an opp. Put some muscle on and wear a plate carrier girl. The shift in narrative is also incredibly stupid. The story is no longer about international terrorism being fought by the best of the best of the best SIR! its about the Marvel-esque interpersonal beef between operators who have these weird James Bond villain type motivations. I don't care about Nighthaven, I don't care about Deimos, It is stupid and it does not fit what was originally sold to us. It is ridiculous Marvel-tier slop writing that I can't take seriously and I really think something special about the series as a whole was lost in this narrative shift. The argument that 'if you want that kind of serious gritty type beat, then go play Ready or Not' bugs me because R6 was a serious gritty type beat for the first couple of years. The entire series was a serious gritty type beat. KAPKAN PARTICIPATED IN THE BESLAN SCHOOL MASSACRE!? Don't you think the narrative shift between the serious, high stakes, VERY REAL implications of that, TO FUCKING NIGHTHAVEN, is a little bit jarring? If Ubi wants a hero shooter that has a Marvel-esque story, I have no problem with that. JUST DON'T TURN R6 INTO THAT.

      Its been (almost) 10 years mate, and even in the developer's design notes they wanted Siege to have "Heroes" and individuality rather than faceless soldiers (Source: Rogue9), and even like you said, Dokkaebbi is no soldier, and she was Year 2!
      Siege was clearly designed to be a arcadey multiplayer *disguised as* a counter terrorism Rainbow Six game, with the devs citing Overwatch as inspiration! OVERWATCH?! (Rogue 9)
      Its true they did HEAVILY market it as a slow terrorist hunting game but that illusion fell around year 3-5,sadly. I have seen the E3 trailer too and I woulda bought it back then thinking it was the next Ready or Not, and Im sorry if you fell for their Deception!
      But I played later, and I bought Siege because I heard it was Fun yet competitive enough to be very challenging; my friends called it the "Dark Souls" of FPS...

      @@goblindan2555 It is not about gameplay, it is about Narrative and Aesthetic tone. It is not like a game that plays arcady CANNOT have a serious tone. Look at call of duty WAW. The game is incredibly arcady, but still maintains a very respectable aesthetic and narrative tone. It feels authentic even though it is literally COD. This is one of the most common criticisms of COD Vanguard, as having 'My Team' (t-800) face off against the 'Enemy Team' (Snoop Dogg) wielding FN F-2000s does not fit the tone of a WW2 game. much of this same criticism applies to R6. The devs already proved that they can maintain this tone with the base game and Year 1 Operators - you can have unique characters that still fit the tone and aesthetics of a counter terrorism Rainbow Six game. If they want Overwatch style "Heroes", then go make a hero game. I love Overwatch (1 not 2). Don't turn an already established series into one. I don't need the game to be "REALISTIC". I do not need the game to be "SLOW". I just need a narrative and aesthetic tone that is serious, consistent, and most of all, authentic. As a long time fan of R6 and Tom Clancy, I really dislike the direction they took it in. This is exactly why people didn't like BF2042, BFV, COD Vanguard, etc. If you want an excellent example of doing this right, play Battlefield 1. It was arcady yet was tonally and aesthetically excellent and truly felt authentic.
      ALSO, (complete sidenote) WHY R6? WHY TOM CLANCY? (Yes I know it was for money) If you do not want to make a rainbow six game, THEN DO NOT MAKE A RAINBOW SIX GAME. GO MAKE SOMETHING ELSE THAT DOES NOT COMPLETELY FUCK UP THE TONE AND DIRECTION OF AN ALREADY ESTABLISHED SERIES! I cannot tell you how frustrating the developer trend of "re-imagining" beloved games is.
      The "TOM CLANCY IS ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE RIGHT NOW" argument is not about "LIBERALS BEGONE". It is about being frustrated that the devs are going against the tone that Tom Clancy established. I never saw master chief on the Red October.
      If you disagree with Tom Clancy, DON'T PLAY HIS GAME.

      ​@@dubmeisterxd2133I get what you are saying, while the art direction for the ops doesn't bother me too much, sometimes their back stories or the story they are trying to tell becomes kinda shitty, which makes it's hard to care. Same goes for the maps, I'm all over this comment section talking about the lack of maps and how the newer maps are garbage because they are poorly designed. Visually speaking the new maps are ugly, and then you get to the design of them they are a bitch to move around both Lair and Nighthaven are way too complicated with their layout it feels like a video game vs a place you'd actually work at or a place an actual group of people would design. Emerald Plains is still pretty good despite how depressing the lighting is so idk how they dropped the ball with the other two or the Consulate rework which just decided to butcher an already good map with way too many hallways. Compare that to Coastline which is neat visually and isn't a chore to navigate or how about Oregon which feels like a real place.

    For me my biggest problem is the aesthetics. I think the gunplay and strategy is great, I just kinda miss the vibes of year 1-2 from a purely vibes angle. There's no point whining about it, I know, it's just that bums me out most about the game aside from cheaters.

    This just happened to me today. It is out the blue, when I open the game it said that I got permanently banned DUE TO CHEATING, which I never cheat like I'm a totally totally legitimate player. I spent 5000hours on my account with almost 1000dollars buying in game currency. It is all turned into dust. (I already submitted a case to Ubisoft support, if there is any update I will put it in this comment)

      Side note. I know that I'm just a regular dude who have no connection whatsoever with the Ubisoft staff like other streamers that got falsely banned (e.g. maciejay I remembered watching his stream back then when he also got falsely banned It was year3 I believe?😅) but I'll continue to pray that Ubisoft will somehow see my case and put in any effort to fix their horrendous anti cheat and hopefully know that I'm a legitimate player😢

    The thing about the new maps (lair/labs) is not that they play that bad, practically it plays bad because I haven't made much effort to learn them. The big reason I think I haven't learned them and why I feel they're unpopular among the majority player base is that all the rooms are bland and look similar. The maps don't look like a real place which is what makes popular maps like Kafe, Coastline, Bank more likable and feasible to learn passively.

    I understand your concern about people saying "it's not tactical anymore". And what can i say? I'm with them. I know that getting slammed in gunfights doesn't necessairly mean that the game isn't tactical, but its hard not to think like that when your victory is 90% reaction time and pixel perfect aim dependent, while using gadgets and putting more thought in the process can be denied in split seconds by a dude having better reaction time than you. And if someone have worse reaction time (like me XD) then despite trying to get better, one might feel like hitting a wall, copper v, getting slammed in casual etc.
    Additionaly i think that many players came to siege, because the label "tactical" gave them feeling that they can go play a gane that unlike CS:GO and such requires more thinking and thus despite worse reaction time they can achieve some success and get good

    I really think siege needs a full rerelease where they update the entire code of the game, ubisoft said themselfs that the code that the game is made with has many limitatiotions...
    Edit: I oneslty wouldn't even mind rebuying the game (i alredy bought it 3 times till now lol) but obviusly i would like if they give bonuses and credits for returning players and especially for veteran players too..

    My main issue is the lack of maps, playing the same maps day after day is kinda exhausting. It possible for them to make good maps, but for some reason the last couple of maps try to be too much, they are ugly and too complex to navigate. The vasts amount of architecture to make different designs is there. A Greek map would be exciting. Or a farm with and underground basement connecting a barn to a house. Theres ways to make exciting maps they just lack direction.

    I remember the Y1-3/4 of the beginning of the tdm meta. I feel like from then to now it's gotten worse by 110%. The bolo peaking and high ads I feel was always going to happen. The game was just fast enough that it was always going to happen. Instead of Nerf or nothing they should just focus on buffs for a year. Not saying every op needs a buff and the buffs that happen aren't good, but let's be honest they nerf worse and barely buff unless it's someone they nerfed to be the ground and had to buff back up. In the future I can see A solis getting a buff, what it might be, idk. But maybe her gadget lasts longer or she gets the ability to look in drone phase but at a shorter distance

    My biggest issue this season is how unbalanced the matchmaking is. It seems like i either play coppers or champs. I have hardly any close games now. It seems weird this season.

    ADS being slowed was always a bad change. Go try milsim like arma or insurgerncy and the ads feels snappy compared to r6. There's nothing tactical about it.

I'm going to play the same maps and do the same thing every time I play, and you know what's funny it's not hard making new maps. All they gotta do is have a team dedicated to brainstorming interesting locations with an interesting situation, what ever they did with Lair and before was not that.

    As far as balancing Jäger, pros wanted Jäger’s gadgets nerfed back in year 2 and they were vocal.
    Ubisoft: removed ACOG, recoil nerf, recoil nerf, recoil nerf, damage nerf, recoil nerf, ammo count nerf, recoil nerf.
    Players: Can someone else run Jäger? No one wants to play Jäger, but I want a Jäger as a teammate.
    Ubisoft: well, we can’t nerf Jäger’s gun anymore, so Jäger is a 2 speed now.
    Players: rework the gadget!!!!
    Ubisoft: Use Wamai! We made him so you don’t have to play Jäger.
    Community: it doesn’t stop frags! Nerf Jäger’s gadget.
    Ubisoft: fine, we will finally rework his gadget, but all of the unnecessary gun nerfs will remain.
    Community: Jäger is trash now! Keep the gadget rework nerf and revert his gun to be usable.
    Ubisoft: No…… ok, we secretly unnerfed the recoil 1 time. But the damage is still trash.

    I think when it comes to balancing changes the developers need to stop using the exact same guns for multiple/different operators. Because it limits what the developers can do. Like you cant buff/nerf the AK-12 for Ace’s kit separately from Fuze’s. I think the simplest solution to that is to change the guns model and name for certain operators but keep the current stats. Like changing Fuze’s AK-12 to the AK47. Same should go for attachments where they can increase/decrease an attachment benefits/negatives on a case by case basis. Because as far as I’m aware they can’t/won’t do that.

    good points to this video,
    the only thing i disagree with is the idea of Tom Clancy's willingness to stretch reality in fiction specifically in "rainbow six" and to an extent "without remorse"
    rainbow six vegas, vegas 2, critical hour, lockdown. they all revolved around that idea of stoic police types killing terrorists/criminals. so honestly, i do think tom clancy would be rolling in his grave to the current story and art direction.

    My issue with ADS speed changes and making the game slower and less arcade-y, is that the slow gunfights don't match with 1 shot headshots and feel inconsistent. old r6 the gunfights would be quick and it felt good because it matched with the instant potential headshot.

    Bit late with the comment (may the algorithm shine upon you today, G), but the reason I've stopped playing Siege for the time being isn't because of gunplay vs strats, aesthetics, or even cheaters.
    Frankly, it was the grind. At my peak of ranked 2.0 I was Emerald 2, and after I got the same rank for a season or two in a row, I couldn't deal with the grind for a third season. The matches were becoming less enjoyable cos I was getting frustrated at my teammates, at losing, and not seeing the rewards for the little progress I did make.
    That, coupled with not knowing what type of meta I should be playing in (e.g., swing or be swung vs take it slow and strategise vs play for fun vs whatever else), I just ran out of energy.
    I've swapped back into Halo for a while, then replayed XCom, then Helldivers when that released, and now I'm playing through Assassin's Creed 2. I gotta say, I'm having a much more fun time killing Templars than getting mad at teammates cos they didn't bring a Thatcher for my Thermite.

    I started playing R6 late 2019. I was a high school freshman and it was my first *real* fps. I put so many hours into the game in casual, messing around and being an idiot. It was incredibly incredibly fun.
    What turned me off the game eventually was the gradual erosion of the content scene and the collapse of the casual community. I followed esports and enjoyed watching it, but never intended to play at that level.
    I recently came back to the game, and it’s really hard to enjoy it again. Ranked 2.0 is awful, casual is full of sweats and cheaters, they removed jump outs and pre-reinforced everything making it HELLA boring, guns I used to meme with in hip fire are shit like that. All in all, they removed the fun from siege. I play Valorant now LOL

    I don't Like a lot of the balancing choices because they seem random at times
    I don't Like the Tone of the game because I didn't find deimos interesting or intimidating at all. To me he's just some angry Guy who thinks he's a genuine threat but can't reach his only goal(killing team rainbow) because of plot Armor,we can't just have the operators be killed. I'm not saying that the "Kali James Bond villain" phase was great either.
    The White masks were more intimidating even though they were only there for T-hunt because we at least had a mission where they shot up And gassed a university. the cutscene for article 5 even told us that they can carry out attacks Like that anywhere in the world.
    That made them a scary terrorist organization in a game about Fighting terror.

    In regards to the aesthetics, all I wanted was a toggle for the skins. Just let me see each operator in their starting outfit. That way visibility, and tone matching, is a non issue.

    Slowing down ADS has eased the TDM meta I think even if it is just a little bit. I think at times people's complaints regarding that meta are represented in bad faith because as far as I can tell it was that utility felt like it just didn't matter, people were picking ops for guns and sights, not their utility. I feel like this has changed a bit this season so overall I think it's a good change. It may feel bad to some but it's really not hard to get used to, it forces you to actually pace yourself properly instead of COD swinging whatever tf you want.
    And yes, Solis nerf was a little too far but it's expected, it's what Ubi does unfortunately. Maybe next season they'll at least allow her to use the gadget without it being fully charged, that'd be a good step in the right direction for her.

    Out off all the frustrating things about the game, there is only one thing that consistently makes my gears grid and that is: the community.
    Now hold your horses, i know that the siege community is full of amazing ppl, but sadly it’s also full of horrible ones. This will obviously be the case for any community anywhere, its just that the bad apples of the siege community are awful in such a specifically unbearable way. Everyone is constantly complaining about everything and as soon as you even slightly suggest that maybe the game is alright actually and that maybe problems can have nuances to them, you just get called a slur. Ive been looking for a stack to play with for ages, and I’ve tried to play with so many ppl, but its just so impossible to find even a single person that has a decent mentality and that isn’t bigoted to the moon and back.
    But who knows that might just be EU servers

    At the end of the day, Ubisoft has pissed off more than they have acted endearingly to their audience (this is beyond Siege). These people don't deserve your time, money, or attention.
    You want a fun shooter with interesting gadgets and destruction WITHOUT the sweatfest of Siege's cheaters, as well as fun progression? Play THE FINALS. You want a tactical, classic Rainbow Six experience akin to Vegas and SWAT? Play Ready or Not.
    You want to put up with a company that has done so little to improve it's cash cow in several years, that it couldn't be bother to fix the cheaters for years, put effort into it's cosmetic style to make it even an inch more consistent (PNG pattern skins for $20 bucks, yo), nor even have the patience to update its engine to make it more future proof?
    Play R6 at your peril.
