@@gulzeb I bought a milwaukee random orbit, and tbh it seems to removed more material than the mini evolution belt sander I have, but I haven't compared with full size one, so will take your word for it. I now have my eye on a planer.
I really like it. But you are limited to battery life. So it has its limits. It runs just long enough to make me want to put the vibrating death machine down and regain feeling in my hand
@@TheDurbinCompound that’s the convenience of not having a cord and an extension cord. Being limited to battery life wasn’t even an issue. There are many products that are battery powered.
Good review. Info I was looking for you covered. I need dust extraction to “ actually “ work. Not through dust into the room. Don’t want it to be too loud. My de Walt palm sander is horrendously loud. De Walt multi tool is not balanced. Thanks for taking the time to review it. Cheers.
Hi, I hope the second gen is a brushless model plus a different dust collection. I would like to also see a gen 2 brushless hand planer. Let's go milwaukee, LOL....
I know it's not designed for it, but have you tried sanding metal with this thing? Or even tried wet sanding? I really wanna get it but I don't want the thing to break within a month from sucking up aluminum dust mixed with alumicut.
I wonder if the high output 3.0 batteries. Which are a little wider than the normal size will fit on the sander and the dust collection box at the same time ?anyone know ? I only have the high output batterys thanks
@@TheDurbinCompound I just picked up this sander. Mine came with an additional extension piece to allow for larger batteries. Based on what you said, I don't pop the collection bin open, just tap it out.
Hey boss, if you click on your link to home Depot. Look at the picture there's a small square plastic piece in the picture between the sander and the dust bag/box thing. Anyhow that plastic square piece allows you to use a 12ah battery with either the first box, it the shop vac attached. Just thought I'd let you know. Btw I work at the home Depot. Lol
Thanks for the review...i picked up the new Brushless dewalt ROS and wasn’t impressed with the power so I returned it. I think I will go ahead and pick this up especially since I can get it for $59.
Yeah it’s definitely a deal for $59. I think when it comes to these battery powered tools, people just need to have reasonable expectations about how long the battery will last!
Where the hell are you getting a $59 hookup on this thing?? At my local home depot, it's $99 for the bare tool (though if you buy a two battery starter kit for $199 during the holiday season, you can get it for "free")
Honest Insincerity 2 add the starter kit to your cart at HD then add the ROS separately and purchase both. Then return the starter kit should come out to 59+ tax. Just did it last night.
Honest Insincerity 2 exactly what jay bushey said... You buy the starter battery kit and take the sander as your free tool. Then you return the battery kit and the sander ends up costing you $59. That deal is going to be available until February 2020
Nice vid! I have to disagree about dust collector I bought one and out the box the sander put out enuff air that it pops the top of collector! Dust goes everywhere! I did take the vac attachment that come with it and run it with my miter saw bag
the ease of use is ... just that easy!! words to live by my friend
Random orbit? does it spin both directions.
Will this attach to a henry vacuum cleaner?
i wish they would make a sander like the bosch cordless
What is the quickest method to remove material? belt, or orbital?
Belt is way faster

Is it balanced?
I tried it at home depot and thought the battery made it heavy, bulky and unbalanced. Maybe I need to give it another chance
I really like it. But you are limited to battery life. So it has its limits. It runs just long enough to make me want to put the vibrating death machine down and regain feeling in my hand
What size battery did you use?
You can get the smaller battery.

Thanks for the comment! I definitely like this sander. Highly recommend
Great review guy
Every good story starts with sorry I haven't been around lately, the holidays have been crazy...
Thanks!

Oh that would be cool!
Could you sand drywall with this? Just curious. 🤔
Yeah you could
TheDurbinCompound is there a pad though? Like a fitted OEM or would I have to mod one to fit the sander.
This comes with a Velcro base pad just like most every other sander on the market
TheDurbinCompound cool thanks.
You do “awesome” so awesome!
I made this pros and cons for our school. ruclips.net/video/oowAkAN1Vq4/видео.html

I have not tried it on anything except wood!
Thank you for your work

Not sure if useful after 3 years, but there's an extension tube that lets you fit 12Ah batteries (huge ones)
How you gonna compare dewalt to red and black come on bro but really i have a question why am I getting shocked using my shop vac
I own a bunch of Milwaukee tools I love them but that dust collector was a dissapointment
How come?
The cover does not stay latched. Constantly coming open spilling out the saw dust bits absolutely horrible

Cool! I think that lid is actually hard to get off. I’m surprised the sander air blew it off
I wonder if I got a broken one out the box... not much I can do except send it back I bought it atleast 6 months ago good luck with yours
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep an eye on it!

Dewalt and rigid has a variable speed. ..
By the way brother. ..I own this Milwaukee. ....
I guess you never used the dewalt cordless sander which is way better
I’ll have to try it and compare!
Hi
I think you sure can use the 12.0 battery brother. .you have an extension part there check it out. ...
