I'd say they are both right but it's more about the skill of adapting your shot and being good at finding angles and power in any situation you find yourself while shooting. It's a fact that there is always an arc that sends the ball cleanly through the hoop and it is determined by your body's position and momentum. That's why you see both of them splash the most ridiculous off balance shots consistently. Adaptation and highly developed instinct is their true power.

I have seen a lot of Kevin Love highlights from his days in Cleveland, and I would say he does have a dip on most of his catch and shoot shots, albeit a small one and sometimes when the ball is passed right in his shooting pocket you'd see no dip at all. Often when he would shoot from the wing or corner as the ball would come from cross-court he'd dip the ball just to control it a little bit (LeBron can throw hard and fast passes).

To be fair, the “dip” is the shooters starting position.

It is NOT cap. I'll use a rifle as an allegory.
Your feet = the rest you're using. So squared feet is like laying the rifle on a sturdy, unmoving rest. BUT you CAN shoot standing up, holding the rifle in your hands (= floater, feet not square to basket).
Your shoulders are the rear sights, your hands the front sights. As long as "the sights" are aligned, you'll hit the target; even if you're shooting from a standing position with no rest supporting the rifle, (= feet not squared, but shoulders are)

Anthony Morrow was also very good at this! Jump shot wasn’t as pretty but was butter, especially with the Thunder!

Klay can catch the ball anywhere and still shoot it in one motion. Something you dont notice that other ppl just cant or wont do. He will catch it above his head, or off centre near his shoulder and hell jus shoot
