    Thanks! I have a fat tire electric bike. I can ride on the beach. The electric motor pedal assist helps reduce the extra work required to ride on sand.--But it still has to be packed sand (like you find down near the water's edge) rather than loose sand.

      Mid drives are 3 times more powerful in the sand than hub drives

    How much better is a 21 than 7 speed I. The sand???

    With 4.8 tirers i ride any sand as long as its not a steep incline.... however it dose require 2x the pedal power on fluffy lose sand. If your riding for miles jump on the wet pack.

    Don't ride any bike on sand unless you want to be replacing a lot of components. Sand is probably the absolutely worst surface to ride anything on. I ride road bikes and mountain bikes and I mountain bike on snow, ice and mud but sand is the worst. Sand will get in your chain and gears and maybe even the bottom bracket and destroy them. Look what happens when you walk on sand in your sneakers. Sneakers full of sand. My advice is stay on the boardwalk.
