- Heat pump dryers are finally available and they use around 1/3 the energy that a standard dryer uses. In this review, I'll show you key features of this dryer, how it reduces fire risks, ways to reuse water for irrigation, how to clean the condensing unit, and we'll end with the top five reasons why you should consider getting one too.
For those interested in energy details, this dryer uses an estimated 145 kWh/yr and has a combined energy factor (CEF) of 5.85. This comes from EnergyStar data you can find here: www.energystar.gov/productfin...
It is one of the most efficient dryers in 2023 per the EPA.
I've had one for over three years and it has been operating great the entire time without any issues. The water collection tray can also be pumped out automatically to a drain out the back if you prefer - I just show the manual option if you want to take it and water plants.
Here is a link to the unit on Samsung's website: www.samsung.com/us/home-appli...

good vid❤️👍❤️
It just takes too long ti dry..sometimes it doesn't dry blanket. I have to do it twice wit 2 hours cycle..but it's a very light weight and beautiful machine I have the washer and dryer
Thanks for the video. Since installing Tesla solar panels with Powerwalls, I am able to see how much energy the Clothes dryer pulls - and it's a lot. So, my search for a more efficient dryer led me to your video. One Question - does it take longer to complete the drying or is it about the same length of time? Thanks.

Sir, I am planning to buy a washer dryer and confused between two models please suggest
Is it a 110 outlet?
Is this ok for apartments?
Yes, no venting required.
Does it have a moldy smell problem?
No, haven’t had any mold issues.
How long are the cycles, im hearing horror stories of it taking 6 hours to perform a single dry cycle
2 hours is pretty average. It can be slightly longer for larger loads. Never experienced anything like 6 hours.
Yes it takes too long to dry the clothes that's my downfall by time I'm fin I'm already in peek electricity cycle.. 1.5 min 2 hours up to get a good dry..6 hours no never seen it.. but too long to dry. And especially blankets at times it doesn't dry em good i have to redo .And that's reason I'm gonna sell mines back just too long to dry
Honestly so fed up with it. For a large mixed load it does take 6 hours. And because it dries at such a low heat and takes so long the clothes start to smell. It's so frustrating
Grrrz…does it work ok?? I’d it a waste of $$??
Does a review on energy savings with no info on actual energy used per cycle. Waste of time click bait greenwash bs
Hi MrMinnesota, thanks for your comment and request for actual energy used per cycle. You're the first person to ask this question. If I do another one, I'll add it in the video. For now note this dryer uses an estimated 145 kWh/yr and has a combined energy factor (CEF) of 5.85. This comes from EnergyStar data you can find here: www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-clothes-dryers/details/2325657

What are the NEGATIVES? There is always a trade off. Regarding the environment, huge businesses and China manufacturing are the ones who are really polluting the atmosphere, not your average citizen.
