What a sensational song -- especially the drumming! Before the outro breakdown starts in the Japanese-esque clean part it sounds like the drummer is playing with brushes. It's a really cool touch.
Reminds me of Underoath a bit.

I actually dig the new vocalist. He's more pleasant to listen to (I found the previous guy's highs to be grating) and has awesome lows. I love his cleans too, they seem a lot more polished.

I love oceans ate Alaska because their old stuff is gold, and when they changed their style a bit, it was still very good. They also KILL it in live performance. Love this band.

Excluding the brief section from 1:05 to 1:18 and the 2/4 bar at 0:39, everything else is 4/4; it's just super highly syncopated. There are also some tempo changes.
