Girl every time I see that intro I tear up so much 😭 as a black woman I GET it. This is really helping me to work towards my "impossible" or "no way YOU could do this" type dreams this year Here goes nothing

That is so dang awful I’m so sorry boo. Honestly, I can’t imagine losing my sibling it would be too much for me. At the same time I know she wouldn’t want me sad. She would want me to live life to the fullest and enjoy for the both of us. It definitely won’t be easy, take your time and I pray the pain gets better 🥺 and thanks for watching boo. Stay strong
So sorry about your brother. I lost my big sister to kidney cancer. It's definitely hard losing a sibling. Keep going for him. Remember to honor him. I didn't think I could keep going. But life/time doesnt stop for anyone. She's been gone 9 years. Sending prayers for comfort and joy in your family.

I feel like 3 is a contender so far! As for the garden you can always make a stone path and put a planters box there at the end and purchase or build arches to grow grapes or other vine type plants and also hang some too. Having this placed over the path or beside would so, gorgeous. 🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹 🏵
To add half of the property could be used as income if you find a way to seal it off. I know that could be pricey but it is a good idea to offset costs and you can have a section to yourself. And once you feel comfortable you can always get the house back to yourself.
Oh man, if you ever decide to have children! They are going to be so lucky to have a cool mom that bought a home in Japan. I just saw little mini Sundays eating snacks on the floor or helping with the garden. Just cool - can't wait to see more!
For me, this would be THE HOUSE. It’s big, has a good view of the fields, it has a western garage, AND IT HAS A DRYER. BRO DRYERS ARE A LUXURY IN JAPAN 😭😭
Just a thought- I’ve been looking into vertical gardening a lot lately. It’s not the same vibe as a large yard but it can help with supplemental space in any house you end up going for. 🥳. This series is inspiring me to dream even bigger! 🤪👏
I admire how you attract very kind, helpful and supportive people into your life. How you find value in experiences that most wouldn’t even bother with. I could go on but tldr - I love this series and can’t wait til you find your place!
These have been some of the most informational and eye opening videos you’ve made ! Like ppl think it’s easy to buy a home but dang buying a home as a foreigner is even harder lol. Language barriers, funds, having must haves versus what the houses available are giving .. like that could be super overwhelming. I love how you tackle everything in life with such positivity. Ugh like you are major goals! Also a big giant cookie for Ash being your support person through all of this🙌🏾

Japanese architecture is so beautiful 😍I found your channel a few weeks ago, and I'm so happy for it. I have been wanting to go to Japan for the longest time, and your videos have been so informative and fun! I have bookmarked a lot of places that you have mention, for when I visit Japan next year, I'm so excited! And thank you so much for your videos ☺
I disagree. I don't find the houses attractive at all. I guess I am used to American architecture or western architecture and find these houses plain and unexciting.

I love house hunting, the 3rd house doesn't seem dark or spooky, kinda bright and has positive energy...I agreed with Ash that the garage can turn into a studio or workspace. The wall has cracked, must have earthquake before. I cant wait to see more!
The gov. actually allows lots of home building unlike the US, so home prices in Tokyo have not increased in 30 years.. You can get a decent place...America sucks

Hi Sundai Love, I have been watching your videos for a few years and I just love them. I saw that you were looking at homes to buy in Japan and I love how so original they all are. I was watching a show one day about a man who was house hunting in Japan and he said that Japan has quite a lot of abandoned fixer upper homes for just 1 dollar. He bought one and they are just like the ones that you were looking at. I believe he said that the gov. will give you funding to help out but it's not a lot and a lot of paper work. Also he said that it is a must that you finish fixing it up and live in the house for at least 3 years. What ever the funding does not cover, you will be responsible to pay for the rest. To be approved you will have to go through a lot of paper work and be a resident of Japan for a certain amount of years but all in all, it might be worth the work. I hope that this will help you some. I hope that you find something you really love soon. Have a great day and happy hunting!!🤓
So far house 1 is still my favorite. There's something about it... House 3 is gorgeous and then house 2. They all have their own charms. ☺ I'm so happy you're taking us along for this journey.

I am obsessed with cherry blossom 🌸 season. I had a goal to visit Tokyo during the Sakura and was blessed enough to be able to do that. It was one of the best trips of my life. So glad Japan is open again! Loving this series! 💖
@@Snow-xd4rv I know this question wasn’t directed to me, but I’ve also visited Tokyo and Kyoto (and several cool areas in between in Japan - twice) and wanted to share how I went in case it may help you. I went with a friend (who I actually met online - we shared similar interests - a love for the same Japanese band ♪) and she wanted to visit Japan and decided to go with a “small groups tour” she found online It was a British tour company (we’re both American) and it was about 14 people and the people were mostly British, American & Canadian and our tour guide was a late 20’s single British guy living in Japan for a few years. On my second tour most in our group were Australian & British and our tour guide was an early 40’s Australian guy married to a Japanese woman and he’d lived there for many years - both guides were really cool and knowledgeable and fluent in Japanese. And both tours had a large range of ages from 20’s to 70’s, and both tours had a mix of couples, singles, siblings traveling together, parents traveling with adult children, and friends traveling together). I researched the tour company online and did business/correspondence with them directly, so I felt confident it was legit, and then my friend and I met up in San Francisco from our respective states, and flew to Tokyo together.🗼 When I first went almost 10 years ago the tour we went on was about half the price it is now… BUT, there are other tour companies too (search “Intrepid Japan” or Google search “Japan tours” to find more companies - and of course, make sure you do a lot of research and check lots of reviews). The company we went with was called Inside Japan Tours, and you can find them online if you search that name. We paid for our flight & were advised to bring a few hundred USD, for spending money, which turned out to be an accurate amount for 9 days for temple entrances fees, excursions, lunch and dinners, & souvenirs, (also, we went early and stayed late so we were there for 14 days). On our tour, we paid for lunches and most dinners, and subway fares, entrances to temples and any other excursions, like Tokyo Tower, or Skytree, museums, most city cab and bus fares, etc. Our tour company did start us out with $30 on a subway card which was good. Included in our tour package, was accommodation for 9 days, breakfasts (from the hotels - most hotels were cheaper business hotels with simple Japanese and western style breakfasts, but a few were nicer hotels with really amazing breakfasts, and one was a traditional inn, called a ryokan that had its own small private onsen), and bullet train fare and JR Rail pass for longer distance travel within the country was included as well, $30 worth of subway fare to start with, and maybe 3 dinners. For a first time visitor, I thought the tour was really great. If I’d gone alone or just with a friend. I probably would have just gone to Tokyo, and I’m not a great planner, nor super motivated so I wouldn’t have gone nearly as far or seen nearly as much as I did had I gone on my own. Also, it would have been daunting to me to try to get bullet train reservation tickets and figuring out bus routes in rural areas, and accommodation, and all those many things that our guide did for us. Also, both guides took a smaller group of us, maybe 3-5 people who wanted to go, to cool bars in Tokyo and Kyoto and on hikes in historic areas, so those experiences were really cool as well. If a tour isn’t your thing (or the price isn’t your thing), I’d try to get someone to just go with me, like a friend or relative that would be down to go. Or even a friend of a friend or casual friend that you think is trustworthy and cool. If you’re just going to Tokyo, or other bigger or well-known cities, you can get by in most bigger cities without knowing any Japanese, so that’s really helpful. I hope you’ll find a way to go with a friend or relative or tour group. Japan was a really cool & memorable experience (I went in early spring, so I did see cherry blossoms but only about the last 2 days I was there - I did get to try lots of blossom inspired treats and drinks and see plum blossoms which bloom earlier) and I made friends with several other people on my tours from other countries, that I still keep in touch with almost 10 years later, which is really cool! Good luck on your future Japan adventure. I have faith that you will definitely go! :)
I don’t normally comment on videos but I couldn’t watch and not say anything. First, I’m so happy and proud of you for this accomplishment. It can be hard for us (black people) to buy a house in the States and you’re doing it in Japan. Secondly, watching you live you dream is an inspiration to everyone who has forgotten to live theirs (myself included at times). It is easy to give into the voice that’s say you can’t, instead of listening to yourself and saying you can. I cannot wait to see how this turns out but again I’m so happy for you.
I really love your videos. I admire you so much and you give me inspiration for real. I’m currently stuck in Tokyo for the next two weeks and I got the heartbreaking news my mom is on her death bed and I can’t make it back in time or pay thousands of dollars to get back. So I’m just trying to keep my spirits up. Any who Im enjoying this series immensely.
If house number 3 has a view and garden space like house number 1. The place would have been so perfect. Wow, what a spacious and beautiful house. Property 1 and 3 are my favourites so far.
I'm so glad you were able to find a cheap house. Thankfully Japan was not filled with trillion dollar houses that would be too expensive for any of us to afford
Amazing content, I've been doing research on buying a home in Japan in the next few years, so any help and guidance is appreciated based on your experiences. House #3 was perfect
Only half way through the video and I like the first house too. However the extra expense of getting a car and commuting to Tokyo, is something to seriously consider. Been vacate for 10 years, sounds like room to negotiate. Use that Sundai charm to get that price down.🤩💫
Thank you for being optimistic. Thank you for sharing your dreams with us. Your videos are truly inspirational simply because of your attitude toward living the life you've dreamed about. I pray you get everything you want. ❤
ngl, so far I'm loving the third house already sundai despite it being a bit pricey like the 2nd one and has a few setbacks but its in a nice area & the house looks amazing inside and outside (which is a must) but i do still have my mind set on the 1st house shown in the series as well so it's between both of them (the 1st & 3rd one) for now but we'll see as we go along in the series girl in finding you the perfect house!!! I'm now newly fond of Japanese traditional houses for real,................ ohhh imagine if one of these potential had a cherry blossom tree growing outside next to a window, that would be perfect!
Just found your channel and I’m already obsessed! Your so beautiful and charismatic in my favorite part of the world ! You are a joy to watch ,praying for good energy and luck to flood your life .
I truly love this for you. House hunting is so fun! Be sure to check the areas for landslide likelihood if you might end up near hills. It’s something I would never have considered until I saw a Gaijin Otousan vlog discussing landslide zones in his village in the countryside. Making sure you buy something that isn’t going to be a money pit is hard enough when you don’t have to worry about a wide variety of natural disasters, so Japan seems like house hunting hard mode 😅
The holes in the roof's, walls and subfloors... scary. But fine if you're gutting and starting over. I'm so proud of you for buying in Japan! I think.. you probably filmed these awhile ago and are just uploading now because there shouldn't be any cherry blossom trees in bloom right now. I can't wait to see what you decide to buy and love that you're sharing this journey!
I am thoroughly enjoying your house hunting series. I hate it when the videos come to an end. That's all your videos though, such a peaceful easy-going vibe. Exactly what I need every time I watch. Love you Sundai.
It's really amazing how inexpensive the purchase price is for these homes. I realize there isn't a resell market like you see in the US but still 😄 Sundai is looking at properties that need a LOT of work. That usually means you need building supplies. Can you have items delivered or do you have to rent a truck ad DIY?
I was surprised that we got a video today. I was just thinking I had nothing to watch it’s like you knew we needed this. I’m so excited to see which home you ended up choosing but loving the series so far!
Great video, a lot of useful information. I am actually also house / land hunting in Ehime at the moment. We've been looking for the past year or so and have found a few good properties with large enough land within our budget, but there is always something that stops us from buying. Like a cemetery too close, schools too far, way too rural, etc. Good luck with your hunt!
Mann that’s so dope to do house hunting somewhere I would like to live. I still think it’s so dope that you live there coming from where we’re from. I’m happy for you Sundai
I haven't finished the vid but yeah, I heard that you have to make sure the foundations aren't jacked up cause it's expensive to fix. And make sure it can withstand an earthquake.
What a pleasant surprise, I was expecting a video on Sunday.🥰🥰 Yay!! House #3 was lovely, I totally agree with lack of garden space. I’m enjoying this series, keep ‘‘em coming.

When I first went almost 10 years ago the tour we went on was about half the price it is now… BUT, there are other tour companies too (search “Intrepid Japan” or Google search “Japan tours” to find more companies - and of course, make sure you do a lot of research and check lots of reviews).
This house looks so much like the one Tora bought in Midnight poppy land manga. I love it.
Since when was it hard for us to buy houses being black? Maybe long ago, but not recently.
I miss living in Japan. I use to live in Okinawa, Japan. The culture is amazing very kind and respectful people.
The best 30 seconds intro ever seen! Congrats for all your achievements! And your tenacity!
You know you did really good editing when people are interested in watching the whole series after the first 5 seconds of the video❤ loveeee ittttttt
I like your voice it’s super relaxing 😌
I'm so glad you were able to find a cheap house. Thankfully Japan was not filled with trillion dollar houses that would be too expensive for any of us to afford
I love #4 there is so much mid century in it. And east meets west flare, but I can see how it might have been to expensive to repair!
Amazing content, I've been doing research on buying a home in Japan in the next few years, so any help and guidance is appreciated based on your experiences. House #3 was perfect
I’m so invested in this series 😤💖 but more so grateful you’re taking us along on your journey 🙏🏻🍾🥂
That first house was so nice and so BIG!!! I swear there was a new room at every corner.
Great way to end my Thursday after a rough day in the classroom. WOOO!!! episodes of house hunting here we go!
Only half way through the video and I like the first house too.
However the extra expense of getting a car and commuting to Tokyo, is something to seriously consider.
Been vacate for 10 years, sounds like room to negotiate.
Use that Sundai charm to get that price down.🤩💫
That 1st house was nice, I loved all the surrounding wood land area. Too bad it didn't have enough yard. It would have been perfect
Thank you for being optimistic. Thank you for sharing your dreams with us. Your videos are truly inspirational simply because of your attitude toward living the life you've dreamed about. I pray you get everything you want. ❤
Haven't watched yet but don't forget about your February wash day!
I wasn't expecting a vlog today I'm so excited😂
ngl, so far I'm loving the third house already sundai despite it being a bit pricey like the 2nd one and has a few setbacks but its in a nice area & the house looks amazing inside and outside (which is a must) but i do still have my mind set on the 1st house shown in the series as well so it's between both of them (the 1st & 3rd one) for now but we'll see as we go along in the series girl in finding you the perfect house!!! I'm now newly fond of Japanese traditional houses for real,................ ohhh imagine if one of these potential had a cherry blossom tree growing outside next to a window, that would be perfect!
I think this is the house, I've watched your whole series and this is my favorite for you.. you could make this beautiful
Just found your channel and I’m already obsessed! Your so beautiful and charismatic in my favorite part of the world ! You are a joy to watch ,praying for good energy and luck to flood your life .
Your intros sequences ought to win an Oscar I get LIT every time
Hey Sundai thanks for the upload today🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Oh wow that’s is so much for the support love 🥹
I truly love this for you. House hunting is so fun! Be sure to check the areas for landslide likelihood if you might end up near hills. It’s something I would never have considered until I saw a Gaijin Otousan vlog discussing landslide zones in his village in the countryside. Making sure you buy something that isn’t going to be a money pit is hard enough when you don’t have to worry about a wide variety of natural disasters, so Japan seems like house hunting hard mode 😅
The art in the room upstairs is beautiful
Cause why are your intros the best thing on youtube❤️❤️
I love house 3, but it's so huge just for you and the pet's.
Well that little black girl from the hood DID IT and is blessed💯❤️❤️!! Proud of uu
I can’t wait to see what you end up choosing! This is so fun to do this with you sundai! ❤
I was going to say house two looked like one you could start from scratch with. But if you didn’t like the land. Kick it to the curb.
This house reminds me of the house in the movie Wolf Children so I was definitely kind of in love
I think the largest 8LDK is best so far especially since it had 2 toilets, garage, big front yard, big bathroom and you liked the kitchen
Loving these videos!!! I love Japanese style houses and seeing these makes me want to live in Japan again!!
Wow the first house is beautiful despite the damages! There's a lot of rooms but very spacious!
The perfect closet room with the sliding doors 😍😍😍
Sundai, thank you for everything you create. As well as show us.
I was surprised that we got a video today. I was just thinking I had nothing to watch it’s like you knew we needed this. I’m so excited to see which home you ended up choosing but loving the series so far!
House 3 was beautiful. I love the tile on the outside and inside of the entry on House 4.
2:58 Just need to stop and say I love your music choices 😌Edit: Shazam says the song is named “Sunday”! 🔥😎
True, no yards to speak of but the first house is just amazing.
I love house hunting series in general especially this journey. So interesting ❤
Mann that’s so dope to do house hunting somewhere I would like to live. I still think it’s so dope that you live there coming from where we’re from. I’m happy for you Sundai
Wow good luck with buying a new house in Japan you gave me so much inspiration can’t wait to visit Japan 🇯🇵
I love this ! You are blessed !!! Seeeing you is so inspiring!!
The last house whatever material they used is beautiful the tile and the walls love that
Yay!!! Let me take my mind off my crazy life for a while.
Girl! Like Why is life so crazy right now 😢
My husband just had his second brain surgery in 3 months to remove a tumor. We just got home from the hospital. Just fed him and now that he’s resting I get to watch your video! So thank you girl!
This intro is so dope Sundai!!❤🔥🔥 I feel like this should be an actual TV show🙌🏾🔥
My man doesn’t want me to start this without him 😩 but I’m commenting because I know I’m gonna love it !!
I got so sweet 🥹🥰
I love you. This is inspiring so many women and men for that sake
That's a very very good idea.... more N1,6.63.,R5.. need to pack their things and move to japan...
