Phenomenal driving, best part is when it skips the traction board altogether! This is such a capable rig! Loved every minute of this, the gasps were an added bonus!
I recently got a 2011 Shogun (uk Pajero) and so far only have tyres and suspension done. I've been looking for Pajero/Shogun videos and this is by far the best I've seen! It's nice to see what they can really do! No articulation...no problem 😁
The traction control on the paj works great, some of the best I've seen but a rear diff lock really helps you slow up a bit and be more controlled. For the traction control to work it needs plenty of right foot 😁 good job
Standard spec pajeros arent to be taken lightly. Everyone says not having enough wheel articulation is no good for driving off road. But this shows that it works better in some instances, particularly when theres traction control. Wheel lifting off the ground is better than getting snagged on a rock... Well done.
well... you sort of have to drive faster this way... which is obviously ... different. But main point is - it's got 50% more internal space for your things rather than any vehicle with classis bolt-on chassis. which seems to be a biggest different for a touring vehicle
Andrey Semenovsky
you do need to have some comfort level while having wheels spinning and revs being in 5-6k rpm zone, but more modern pajeros have got rear diff lock, and if you'd install extra front diff lock - i'd imagine you can crawl in it like normal 4wd, much less stressful ( as in normal 4wd you would... more control, less bouncing)
Hello, I’m watching your video and am amazed at how pajero drives on off-road vehicles, it’s very fighting, I’m interested in how the integrated frame behaves, because the car does not have a classic frame, with such loads, are there any body gaps, cracks, or warping, I own it pajero 4, for 10 years, but you are operating the car in harsh conditions and I am interested to know if the body can withstand such loads
body and most components are super-strong and easy to replace. There are people in europe , racing on pajero with slightly modified ( read welded self-made control arms to accomodate 4+ inch lift), who do 300,000km in rally and the car still going.. because the body is much stiffer that cabin-bolted-chassis it doesn't have the ability to absorb light corrugations of the roads ( where 200 series LC will excel, but 200 LC with 5 bolt HUBs and 2 meters wide and 3 ton weight is much more frightening to drive offroad.. ) plus pajero inside has got 50% more luggage space than prado , for example. so it's a trully unique machine :) shame they don't sell here petrol after 2009 or something ...
springs are Kings HD rear and MD front raised 2" . shocks are billsteins paj4 specific front and monroe long travel rear. tires are sst cooper. 120kg weight of protection , included additional steel underneath aux tank, engine and trans protectors, side-steps etc.
traction control works , sort of... if you rev only to 2000-3000 and the wheel starts spinning - the tractioncontrol will stop the vehicle, so in order to crawl - you need to rev this vehicle to 5000rpm constantly ... quite different technique to what people do in normal diesel 4wd with manual gearboxes
why not? diesels need some hassling around EGR etc, but you are getting 99% same drivetrain and 100% same suspension, means carbon driveshaft , best in business control/trail arm system, easily serviceable bearings etc... just put some protection around , lol :)
got an nx which does come standard with rear diff lock. got a similar set up but went king spring and koni's.50 mm lift. stt coopers not cheap for 18 inch either. Think ur on 17's. love ur work.
uhm, if you wish controlled rolling over - need to get some 4WD with live axles, rear ( and front) diff locks , old rig like patrol or new jeep wrangler rubicon. for the 4wd with free diffs and traction control - you'll have to rev it really high to keep it going... nature of the beast

Hard core! Making us Pajero owners proud
Mitsubishi Pajero, simply the best.

yeah mate, i think gasps are the best part of it. thanks for verbalizing that effect!
Such an underrated and probably one of the most capable 4x4s standard! Doing us proud👍
100%. did you know the driveshaft is made of carbonfibre?

This car is just amazing. Love it so much.
What a great video. Just shows you what the mighty Paj can do .nice driving and great spoting. Please upload more ,I'll be subscribing👍
I am very impressed with Pajeros. I have never taken my one this far. I am now a proud owner
That traction control works great!
yep, as soon as you keep it about 3500 rpm

spot-on. the driver is ex-dragracer so keep it 5000-6000 rpm is ok :) (sort of)
They are tough mate, I have never seen or heard of a Pajero break a CV
Que tal camioneta !!!! Es imparable

Makes a nice change to see someone who knows how to drive with traction control, so many kill the engine whenever they start to loose momentum.

Go the Paj, always good to see another mitsy hitting the Gum. We went up it in August and was alot dryer until near the end, you should check it out.
It's amazing!
What kind of tires, modifications?
Congratulations from Puebla, México!

Super select in action...no diff locks

You should have the switch on the console that allows you to turn off the traction control for more wheel spin.
Awesome video and excellent driving and spotting skills great camera work also what year and model is thisnone cheers hope to buy one soon
The paj are just unbreakable
touching wood - they're indeed !
i assume the car is NOT for sale?????
Your spotter sure could have led you through some easier passages :D
he drives patrol, vs live axles thinking is a bit different , but overall - yes you r right :)
Where's the fun in that?
GO THE MIGHTY PAJ !
My Pajero is 2020 Exceed , 4 cylinders. Are 4 cylinders pajeros good enough for such tracks?
why not? diesels need some hassling around EGR etc, but you are getting 99% same drivetrain and 100% same suspension, means carbon driveshaft , best in business control/trail arm system, easily serviceable bearings etc... just put some protection around , lol :)

Good driving!
Nice travels! Whereabouts is this?
