Ivar and the other brothers were really good in season 4, the show was still good. I have no idea what has happened to the show but it just isn't the same.
Bad writing? I loved it up to some of season 5a, but after that characters just started doing things because the plot willed it so and not because it fitted their motivations. Like Bjorn's desire to take back Kattegat, or the whole mess with Heahmund and Lagertha. Also, I read somewhere a good analysis that there's a very clear intent to mistify, deify almost, Ragnar; and that affects not only the past events of the show and their significance, but also every character that is still in the show. If I have to watch Ubbe make a 'Ragnar frown', or Bjorn speak with a 'Ragnar growl' one more time... There's also this thing about good and evil now, like clearly. In 5b Ivar, Harald, they were supposed to be the Bad Guys TM, and Bjorn and Ubbe the Good Guys. It is clear, where before it wasn't. Like yea, there were characters that were pieces of shit and there still are, but Ragnar was never put in this place of Good Guy, or Hero, he was just a protagonist. Now, idk. Sorry for the rant lol
Yes , l noticed that also. When Ivar saw how cruel the boy’s uncle was it changed him… in fact when lvar’s friend with whom he went to Russia was tortured to death for protecting Ivar is when the change started… also Ivar was fascinated by death and killing and demanding loyalty from others .He realized with Oleg’s regime how brutal he himself had been with others , he related to Oleg at first … but then Ivar established a connection with the child and wanted to protect him . I really liked the connection between Ivar and young Russian prince.
Los Lothbrok eran descendientes de Odin, ese dios le da la noticia de la muerte de Ragnar a sus hijos , había muerto por serpientes en la tierra fría y húmeda fueron las palabras de Odin hacía Ivar
Be happy Lagertha, if Björn doesnt come, the valkyries bring you straigth to valhalla! No Chance,a axe on feet and on Head,no Chance but ok!Ragnar is waitin! Thats the good thing on this Revenge! Not a Ugly Harald,or who ever.....
Ivar was raised by his mother to be a victim of his circumstances (which is why women cannot raise boys into men) Ragnar taught him how to adapt beyond his physical restrictions, and apply himself.
i think we can all agree that he is gorgeous

6.26 Aslaugh is so wonderful, so credible as mother
Full of determination for one so invalid. Shows the strength and possibilities the human mind possesses.

Ivar was raised by his mother to be a victim of his circumstances (which is why women cannot raise boys into men) Ragnar taught him how to adapt beyond his physical restrictions, and apply himself.
Ivar was also raised by Floki.
