This series is beyond doubt the very best. Every aspect of it is totally brilliant. The actors - human , adult and children and the animals and their trainers ALL deserve an Oscar - or better...because this WAS real acting.

@@Nik-xi2ri True, my friend, but we know this is a ‘Hollywood’ type production (with brilliant acting) but, at some point in the proverbial mists of time there were probably some Norwegians and Swedish folk who probably did utter the very words, “first to go West” , followed by “first to go here, there and everywhere”…they were such an enigmatic people and such brilliant seamen and navigators ….brutal too and I bet as my ancestors stood on the banks of the river estuary where I still live the sight of the longships arriving must have struck the holy fear of hell in them….as it was striking the otherworldly cords of Hel in them. This show , I took everything personal, it was talking to me, like I lived a Viking in my past life , the art, acting, music , scenes everything was so well crafted

The writers and actors did a great job bringing everything to life. I'm pretty sure everyone went from caring about Ivar, to fucking hating Ivar, to then just being totally distraught by his death.
That's because it probably runs threw your blood, I'm ¼ Swedish and I feel it. I'm ¼ Native American & half Scottish. If I hear bagpipes I look around for a Sword, without knowing why. And when I hear drums, I feel like doing a Crow hop dance. But when I hear Thunder ⚡ I feel it.
Undoubtedly the best television series I have ever watched, truly an amazing show.
Is criminal that Travis has not gotten an award Ragnar is hands down the best written and performed carachter I have ever had the pleasure to watch.
It had something and someone for everyone, no matter what kind of person you are there was a character you could relate to, a storyline you could relate to. It showed that every person had a role, no matter how small it may seem it really was significant in the bigger scheme of things.
Its a great show that will withstand the test of time. You can watch it once a year or once a decade and it'll still awaken something within you.

I got so invested in this show. I loved every second of it. Floki and Ragnar are the two best characters. With Bjorn following in third.

Ragnar and Athelstan's relationship was one of my favorite parts of the show I cried when he hugged his son and smiled reminiscing I could feel his happiness and I feel gave him some consolation in the end

Brilliant as a king , brilliant in how he grew , a unique and a fantastic beast of a performance from Travis Fimmel 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯He made Ragnar Lothbrok his own and makes sure no one can be Ragnar Lothbrok other than him. Absolutely loved his portrayal and was the reason I watched the show till his end
So much betrayal and mistrust among family, friends and allies. This show was amazing, such an emotional roller coaster.

I learnt a great deal from this movie. Ambition, greed, betrayal, Hypocrisy etc..
Loved the way it brought up the different religions and beliefs, showed that all have a lot in common yet they differ greatly. It exposed also in a great extent the shortcomings of all these religions and beliefs, their Hypocrisy, their lies etc.
Also, while King Ragnar was great warrior he was a wise man full of wisdom, foresight and ambition. His brother Rollo also was a great warrior greater than Ragnar even and was wise, but the gods favored Ragnar more and Rollo had to fight for his salvation, saw an opportunity and did not hesitate..

This is probably the best Viking compilation out there it is long but deserve a lot of credit, it made me a feeling every moment and the instrumental are mental too

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the Vikings loved the hole lot. One thing that made me chuckle was that the horses were as vocal as the humans.
U enjoyed and mee too but why im getting emotional when it's been over and im missing everything, ragnar, floki, lagertha, Athelstan, bjorn, ivar, ubba, sigurd, hvitserk ,rollo, ships, tatto, sacrificial offering, sex, odin, frey freya. Everyone and everything🥺🥺

ragnar was and is probably one of the best characters ever created in a tv series, the fact he was adapted from a real life viking makes it even cooler.

was just thinking the same. I quit watching after Ragnar's character. My buddy told me to go back and i kept putting it off but then I got so invested in Ivar, it became great again. But Ragnar was acted unreal man TF did such a great job I forgot it was acting

To me it's sad to see what yhe show has become after Travis left the show, not that his leaving is directly connected to the show's downfall for me but after Ragnar's death and great heathen army going to England to revenge his death I feel like the show had very little substance in terms of story.. It all just became about who's gonna betray someone, then they work it out and betray someone else.. Then they work it out and betray first guy again .. It was just spinning in circles and none of the new cast members had the charisma to keep it all together

Fantastic show, it was historically accurate for the most part, and completely non political. These two things alone are accolades enough to prove it's value. Then just look at the writing, acting, effects, philosophy, and the way it portrayed the grandness of the vision of only a handful of leaders in history. This is a masterpiece.
Sadly not really at all accurate. It would be a pretty dull show without the added and flat out wrong "facts".
