  • We can finally share with you guys Gary's ( G's dad) mule deer hunt in Zion, Utah! We have been so busy with lion hunts that we haven't been able to complete this video, but it's finally time! We went into this hunt having never been in the area and with little knowledge of the deer behavior for this type of area, as it is much different than the terrain we are used to hunting in Nevada. Although we did not fill the tag, we hope that you enjoy the hunt and appreciate this amazing country as much as we did!

    Like it was said at the very end, there's a lot more ways to measure the success of a hunt besides a punched tag. Looks like you all had a blast being in the hills doing what you love! Enjoyable to watch! Thanks

      Yes exactly, personally i could care less if I shoot another deer or elk again but if someone tells me I can't be out there trying to that's where we will have problems!

    Nice video, tough unit Zion. Tip: save yourself some digging out, carry a set or 2 sets of off-road traction boards.

    I'm doing the early hunt this year solo. Probably on the southern end since I never see much on the north when I'd go with my brothers. I've never taken a buck so those one's you saw on day 6 & 7 looked goot to me haha. Good video!

    Great video.! Beautiful area for sure. I'm a Ut resident and have thought about hunting this unit. Was private land an issue.? Thanks for sharing.!!

      @highridgehunters  Год назад +1

      Yes, there was a good amount of private, which made it more difficult! Thank you for watching!

    I drew that tag this year at the expo, if you have any pointers I would love to hear.

      That’s awesome! We saw about 200 deer, does and small bucks, a day. But never saw that upper age class. If you like to glass a lot of country, the red null is the best glassing point we found.

    First great video second I’m from juab county Utah and if you want to put in for the MT.Nebo unit I could guide you there is big deer up there and I can take you right to them where did you guys drive from

    @stevenphilpott1493 i disagree this type of video teaches a lot about a unit if you aren’t already familiar with the area. They could have taken any of the smaller bucks they saw just for the sake of keeping the RUclips trolls happy. 😂 Would that make it better? Or would you just criticize them for settling for what was available?

    do everyone a favor ,post successful hunts or missed animals. don' t need the tourist travel vid of pretty scenery,waste of time!!!!!

      @highridgehunters  Год назад +3

      We prefer to share the hunts that are successful as well as the ones that are not, because they don't always go the way we want them to! But thanks for the suggestion. Respectfully, don't watch next time then :)

      @@paul_t_kendall We agree! It's very difficult to be successful if you are looking for those mature bucks. Definitely needs to be a week or two later. Thanks for watching!
