About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

I love the Lord and have great joy in Him. I love spending time with Him in His Word and in prayer and praise. But I battle with joy due to trials and circumstances. That is why I turned to listen to this. I have prayed for decades the prayer David prayed. David prayed for: a pure heart, a steadfast spirit, the joy of his salvation, and a teachable willingness to spirit to sustain him. Trials and suffering we endure, but joy is challenged in the struggles. I began so tired. I started feeling sorry for myself because it seemed to never let up. Instead of my kids encouraging me, they judged me and had no comfort for me, but instead shunned me. Finally, the Lord gave me words of confirmation through the one who caused my troubles and sorrows. It was a miracle. Then the Holy Spirit showed me that I had to surrender my goid name and reputation to Him. I had to let go of relationships within the family and give all of these to Him. Now,He is teaching me about joy in suffering. Only He can do this within us.

God's love is a feeling
God's peace is a feeling

God's acceptance is a feeling
God's approval is a feeling

When I lose the feeling of God's love,
I lose everything
The sin of fear causes me to lose it all...
God's love and acceptance brings it all back
It is fear (a feeling) that steals, kills and destroys the blessed feeling of knowing, feeling, and overflowing with the love of God
Everyone i come across has forgotten this basic truth- the truth that...

Amen. Timely message for me. I just unsubscribed to a pastor because he is super negative and he thinks he is the only one teaching on sin. He also is very judgemental and talks about everyone on his channel and puts them down. That is inappropriate . He went to a Christian conference and he said he was the only one who didn't have a drink with his meal, and he said he was the only one who bowed his head in prayer at the table when the meal came. I'm thinking...how pious of him. He probably didn't realize that God was wondering why he is judging everyone and that just because someone didn't bow their head in prayer , doesn't mean that they didn't say one. Also like me....I have about 2 drinks a year. So what ? Now I'm condemned to hell for it ? Give me a break! He sucks the joy out of my walk with God. 💯🤔
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
The church did not literally go to sleep, but it was asleep spiritually. Here is what "sleep" indicates metaphorically: When we are asleep, what are we paying attention to? Nothing. If we are in a sound sleep, our minds are "dead to the world." We are not aware of anything that is going on, even of the passage of time.
We may have a dream or two, but that does not count. Usually, we pay such little attention when we wake up in the morning that we fail to remember what we dreamed, unless it is especially vivid. Still, the idea is this: that sleep indicates insensitivity to responsibility. If we were awake, we would pay attention to our responsibilities. We would do our work around the house or go earn our money at the office. But if we are asleep, we are insensitive to what is happening.
That is what occurred to the church. It was not literally asleep, but it became insensitive to its relationship with Jesus Christ. It became insensitive to its spiritual responsibilities. This does not mean that church members were out freely breaking the laws of God, but the relationship was still nonetheless deteriorating because of that lack of attention

Is piety biblical?
Piety ("godly" in NKJV) also appears as "devout" in Acts 10:2, 7. This word means "to give to God reverence and worship that emanates from a holy life." Thus, it includes the sense of being dedicated, consecrated, earnest, faithful, and loyal with an implication of intensity and intrinsic sanctity.
