These games hold a special place in my heart. The PS2 Mascots, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper and Jax and Daxter where such big parts of my childhood. So many hours played on them my discs actually wore out and I had to convince my mom to buy me new ones.
At 7:44, not sure if anyone has explained this before. But the reason why he killed Mz Ruby there instead of going to the final phase is because her hit box lingers there for some reason, so you could just hit her twice really quick and just finish her. The speedrun for this game uses this to skip the rest of the fight. Just some little trivia for you guys :)
I still watch this series weekly, it's one of absolutely favorites. The highlights just make me want to watch it all over again. Also Sly Cooper 5 soon

33:28 Funny thing about that hat glitch. It's because even while in cutscene, Sly still goes through his isle animation, which often involves taking off his hat. But as you can see, he's in cutscene, so talks as normal, but that hat still comes off and back on again. It's really dumb that it happens, but that's how that works.

3:37 The game has an...interesting attitude towards guns. None of the main protagonists carry them but one of Sly's ancestors is clearly a gunslinger and Muggshot carries two guns. Basically so long as Sly isn't straight up using a glock he's pretty much in the clear...not gonna lie though, this does make me want to see a Sly game with a 15+ age rating (or whatever the US equivalent is). I can just imagine a more dark and gritty version of Sly where he uses intimidation tactics on his enemies, swears a ton, and carries a glock.
57:20 I was working on homework and just using this as background noise, and the fucking tears of the Kingdom music gave me whiplash cause I was like “The sly copper game came out like 2 decades ago and ray played it like a decade ago, wtf is this music?” But now I see it’s an editing joke, it made me laugh
I still seriously hate that Penelope backstabbed the Cooper Gang because that felt like as if QT Marshall and Jeff Jarrett wrote her storyline there. (adding wrestling humor since I got back into that since I last posted about this on Ray's playthrough of Sly 4).
I wasn't into Sly cooper myself, but watching this makes me sad that Sly died or disappeared. It's be kind of cool if another game was made, like the game Rachet and Klank
About damn time, I am kidding, love you Ray, but I have been waiting since the beginning of the series highlights for this, and especially more so after Jak and Daxter had theirs done. Now, I will wait for Ratchet and Clank as that will be a bit of a longer video. Will watch this later.
Thieves in Time was a very fun game but what they did to Penelope. *gags* They needed another villain but couldn't be bothered to make another one so they just made your disguise-based friend from the 3rd game a villain...for reasons. (I mean in that regard you could say this whole game is Chaotic Good vs Chaotic Evil but still).

It's all love tho because this is by far the best trilogy of games I've played where I wanted to really dive deep into the story, find everything there was, etc.(That 1 bottle on a rocky start. Anyway, I say trilogy because, in my opinion, the 4th is mid. It's not garbage, but it doesn't hit either. I get the story point of view, but the design?🤢 The powerups? Ehhh..... however compared to the first 3? What more do I need to say?
