- I am Ana Moioli, from Brazil. This is my pre-screening tape for Juilliard, and it got me an audition there :) But I ended up going to NYU. I hope you enjoy it! Follow me on instagram: @anamoioli
*****If you wanna hear more about the NYU admission process and acting program, check out my videos on Vioo: www.vioo.world...
I loved the third audition, it felt so authentic and more vulnerable and close-to-home than the others! I hope you continue with these kinds of monologues because I see a great future for you in more dramatic monologues.
thank you! :)
when it is your country you are gonna play much successful than english because english comes hard if ur native language is not english
Something very authentic about all of these. Expressive and alive without feeling exaggerated. Great job.
Wow! Was blown away by the third one. I don’t understand the words but could feel the emotions from the way she was expressing it
thank you so much!!
Ana, I'm interested to see your results! Hope you did well, Good acting and Good luck from California!
Thanks :) Unfortunately, I didn't get in. Juilliard's admission process is tough... But I got into NYU Tisch, which is also really good, and I'll begin my studies in September!
Ana Moioli hi!!! I’m really considering leaping forward and applying to Tisch!! Can you tell me about your experience?????!! Watching your video really inspired me.
lol why do I keep thinking of Gal Gadot when she speaks
lol ive heard that, tho idk why brazilian and israeli accents would sound similar
@@anamoioli i'm from isreal. Well it is not the same jaja
Now I can’t unsee it 😂😂😂
@@anamoioli it’s def not the same lol
I really love your monologues, the first and last best. Keep on!!
My tip for monologues: choose a monologue from a play/film that isnt very popular or isnt well known
Hey y'all, I understand there are many insecurities involved in the auditioning process, and yes you can reach out to me on social media if you need some advice, but a huge number of people have been texting me and I would just appreciate it if you googled your questions first... Some things you can easily find online. Please check the university website, and if you wanna know something that only someone who's been through the process can answer, then come to me. Thanks and good luck!
I do my national theater school audition very soon. Do you know a play for comedy contemporary monologue for young adult females ??
jessica labelle the odd couple female version
hey, I too have a dream to study at juilliard or tisch (which i saw that you got in to - congratulations!) I was hoping you could help me with some information as to how the audition processes went with both schools and what age you were when you started auditioning. Thank you!!
Wow the third one! I love portugese language ! It's so beautiful!
Mesmerizing 🦋
Wow, I really liked it! I'm applying this years and I can't be more nervous!!! Tell, how long did you wait til you receive the answer? And as I read, you didn't get in, but you are in Tisch now, which is also one of my options. How did you apply to Tisch? Did you have to send this video too or how? I want to do it too just in case, and I'm a bit lost, so I would really appreciate if you can guide me. I'm a foreign student too, hehe. Greetings!!!
did you get in?
How much experience in drama did you have before you auditioned for both Juilliard and NYU?? I want to audition for at least NYU but I don't have any experience and I plan on starting to do as many plays or musicals as I can fit into my last 2 years of high school.
I had reasonable experience, but there are some people in NYU who had never had an acting class before. I guess experience doesn't mean talent, so if you're passionate about it maybe it will make up for you lack of experience. However, I think Juilliard would hardly accept anyone without experience... They usually prefer older people (nearly no one gets accepted right after graduating from high school, as I noticed) who have had a lot of experience
Ana Moioli Thank you so much for the reply! And thank you this gives me hope! The community I'm from has basically cut every drama program because of budget cuts so it's really hard for me to find a way to get experience but hearing that others don't have the experience as many others gives me hope! I'm absolutely auditioning for NYU one day!
Out of curiosity where did you get your monologues from?? I like them and and I would like to use them for future auditions :)
Romeo and Juliet, The Seagull and a Brazilian play called Senhora dos Afogados
Not trying to be harsh, but it seems like you didn't feel any of them.
Hey Ana Great Monologues. I Love How You Performed The Romeo And Juliet, And I Like Your Voice.
Hi, could you please tell me where i can find the script? Thanks in advance..
Keep up the great work! Cheers ;)
Hi! I'm thinking to apply to the NYC Tisch. Was the audition hard? How old are your classmates I'm 27 years old. Are you focusing only on acting in the program or you have to study academic courses. I'm a International student.
Do u know if they take accent in mind? Cuz I have a thicccc Spanish accent and not the cute kind.
Ps: i love your accent, Portuguese is a beautiful language I hope I can learn it someday :)
They don't! As long as they understand you well. Speech is definitely something to work on but schools like Juilliard and NYU would never not accept you because of that. You do have to speak English and get a 100 score on TOEFL, though
@@anamoioli tysm
Ana did you get into Julliards with these auditions? The third audition in your native language was the best.Good luck
Beautiful-
Beautiful!
Fuck the naysayers, keep trying and don't give up :) You will be great!
Thanks :)
How did you get such a good lighting, and in which kind of space did you record?
it was a photography studio!
I have a question: Can you do a monologue in a different language if you're not native to it? In other words, my first language is english...but I learned spanish and my pronounciation is great but I'm not completely fluent.
Hi, I'm not her here but I believe I can help you... she's Brazilian, so I believe that's why she can do it in her native language, in Portuguese
Wow! I didn’t know you could apply to uni with monologues in your native language!
Good job!
quick question did you have to take the SAT's to audition for Juilliard or Tisch?
Thanks! Juilliard doesn't require SAT, but NYU does. I didn't have to take SAT Subject though
did you get in ?
Hi Ana! I’m Cecilia… I’m Peruvian! I also went to The NYU Tisch and after that to the Stella Adler Studio Of Acting! How you’ve been? How you doing now? Do you still living in New York?
🙏
Great job! How did it go? Were you admitted?
Thanks! Unfortunately, I didn't get in. Juilliard's admission process is tough... But I got into NYU Tisch, which is also really good, and I'll begin my studies in September!
I am sorry to hear :/ But I am glad you got into NYU, you are very talented. I am auditioning for Juilliard on January so Im pretty nervous haha
Don't be nervous! It's a pity it didn't work for me, but it was a great experience and I might audition again someday. I'm happy I tried, anyway. Just be positive and believe in yourself, I'm sure you have much chance of getting in! hahaha but you should look for other options too, because sadly the acceptance rate is very low... You know, just to be safe
+Ana Moioli Did you get into NYU with this audition? And CONGRATULATIONS💐💐🎉🎉
+Ana Moioli yes I will also apply to NYU, what is the admissions process in Tisch?. I am also am international student.
I'm auditioning in one week. Break a leg!
+BrotherCash Entertainment yay!! I'm auditioning in two :) break a leg too!

Oi, Ana!
Tudo bem?
Hi, I was wondering how are you doing at Tisch?
Great!!! I love this school so much
Ana Moioli that's great to hear! I would love to go to Tisch! :)
Where did you do this
Oii td bem?

Hi! is there any social media where I can get in touch with you? I really want to get into NYU and I am looking for some advise (I am from Colombia)
yes, message me on Facebook!
Hey! NYU Tisch is my dream school, i'm applying for theatre, but I noticed that they reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy care about grades, and i'm doing pretty well but not extraordinary, so is there a high chance I could get in? Also could you make a video of the things NYU Tisch considers if possible? And also were your grades also really good? Sorry for the long message but I would really appreciate if you'd help me out.
Hi! NYU considers your audition and your academic results equally, so yes, I'm afraid grades do matter. I had good grades, and most people here have very good academic results, but there are some people who claim to have been very surprised they were accepted, because they hadn't done so well in high school as most accepted people here. So you have chance, yes, don't lose hope, just try and do your best during the time you have left! Maybe if your high school grades are not that good, you can make up for it with nice extracurricular activities or with a good SAT result. Also, your audition is very important, so be prepared for that.
Thank-you!
Oii, eu vou aplicar pra NYU também, posso conversar contigo??
Gal gadot vibes
Your accent is very disruptive. I feel that phonetics can help a lot. She is good but is very hard to focus without thinking what the word and attenuation sounds like in a English native speaker.
Sorry but I didn’t like it
is it hard to 'get' an audition for those things?
u just need to work on ur pronunciation
Hiiiii when you auditioned in person did you get in and how was it
I didn't get in, but I got into NYU! Juilliard was kinda scary to be honest, but I wasn't expecting to get in so it was worth the experience. I'm really happy at NYU now!
Jesus loves you all💕
that’s so terrible
Hey! well done! I was just wondering if you were admitted based solely on the tape or did you have to audition in person as well? and how many colleges did you try? I would like to study musical theatre, but don't really have money to attend the auditions in person, so I am wondering if it is worth it :)
Thanks! The tape was only the first step of Juilliard's admission process, and only because I'm international. Americans are not required to send a video. Because my video was accepted, I was invited to audition in person after that. NYU, however, accepts video auditions if you're international, but even so I auditioned in person because I had to travel to the US for my other auditions anyway, and they always prefer to know you in person. I applied to 7 colleges. You should look for colleges that accept videos, like NYU, whose musical theater program is one of the best in the world, by the way.
wow, thank you so much for the information, you're very kind!
Did you get in?
Unfortunately, I didn't get in. Juilliard's admission process is tough... But I got into NYU Tisch, which is also really good, and I'll begin my studies in September!
