One thing that has changed IMO in this update is that Slapcrackers is now an S tier card. With a cursed crown and so many on hit effect allies, it just makes the game so much more fun on 22 bells.
The biggest issue I've found that I've mentioned to the devs in comments is that there are too many non clan specific allies that you see every run, and it makes it hard to get specific runs going. They need to limit it to only one non clan specific ally max per node you visit. I've gotten runs where I've seen only 1 of that clan type and the rest where general allies.
hmm, very reasonable thought yeah. maybe every run the first guaranteed companion (the one before 2nd fight) should be always clan specific
Doing tier lists like this has so much more room for nuance than direct ranking - we like it!
34:20 to add to this, needle also has great syenergy with blundertank as it allows blundertank to do crazy damage when needle procs. That when paired sith frenzy in blundertank can lead to some crazy damage (zips killed the second phase of frost guardian at full 999hp and cleared the board using 5 frenzy blundertank and mimic thks to mama tinkerson) it was insane damage to say the least.
i actually had a van jun carry in ALL the game, and as you mentioned it was a summon fallow hero. The actual combo was blank mask because that also gives you extra hp trough your summoned van jun. My run had the egg so the extra damage that my van juns made was extremely good and lumin base was helping a lot too.
ya i think van jun can work if you hit a crazy setup for it, but the big issue i've run in to is that you can do all the setup and then watch your hero get sniped by bomber/lancer without much counterplay

Voyix captures browser and cuts the scene that way for tierlist to look good, unfortunately he has wiki in the same browser and it cuts away.
ya i think for the next one i'll just edit in the cards at the bottom and not flip between the screens

I kind of disagree with Wort's placement solely because he's just SO vulnerable to cursed charms. You made the same point with Fungun, but if Wort loses his frenzy or some timer or anything, he's just unplayable
Taking away foxy frenzy or making him a 4 turn timer also does hurt him quite a bit
yeah but you can say that about almost any unit, i guess i should've just made a blanket statement that 99% of cursed charm interactions brick units. foxee, fizzle, toaster to name a few

Agree with most of this but really surprised by Van Jun. I feel like she's very sold. Even just having Krono makes her very strong, since now she's gigabuffing anything you summon while your summons get frenzy. Especially with how great blank mask I, idk, I feel like she could maybe be higher
Voyix tried several games a while ago on this channel with Van Jun and realized that it was more of a trap. Especially on the final fight, the problem was that Van Jun needed too much to keep up with the junker/crusher scaling. If you don't get the right pieces it ends up being a bit of a trap. Without a way to get frenzy/lumin ring, the baseline +2 is just too weak to be useful. And frenzy is hard to get outside of Krono because the lack of an attack means many other sources of frenzy don't work on Van Jun.
yeah, krono nerf makes her really slow to get online in the final boss, even if it makes the summon busted. going from 6 hp to 4 hp doesn’t help with living the early game either so prospective taking her is a major gamble

Move Jumbo up to Strong Always or I'm reinstating all the bugs in the next patch
I still haven't played this game all that much and still haven't gotten the true ending with the Heart of the Storm. But I've already beaten the Eye of the Storm several times and to me, Zula is definitely Strong Always. I think every time I picked her, she pretty much carried the game by herself, including at the final fight. At most I would place her as contextual (but not as contextual as Vesta), cause she really shines the most when you have other Overburn cards.
Again, maybe when I get to the Heart of the Storm that opinion might change.
It will, final fight is extremely harsh on kill effects
at the end of the run in the final fight she is going to wait the whole fight for an enemy to die to give you 2 overburn. 2 overburn into an enemy on 30 hp is worthless, let alone 60 or 90

Lil Berry = Mega Carry 😊 Built-in damage scaling that triggers off defense is so good. Remember that run you outhealed with Juice? Imagine having the lil dude there 😂
The difficulty is getting juice or healing cards. If you don't find the support he needs that berry sure stays lil.

is it just me or do some of the clan restrictions seem just, completely fucking random? the snowdwellers and shademancers can't go four units without switching aesthetics (the clunkmasters are very tightly consistent though, I think they all fit together)
like what's the throughline here with the snow guys, the pepper guys, the mushroom guys- tiny tyko and pootie??? there are like two units exclusive to the snowdwellers that i would say actually LOOK like "snowdwellers"

Yeah berry sis should be generic unit rather than shadow clan exclusive
This game is all aesthetics with nearly no balance that makes any sense.
Snowdwellers just mean people in Snowdwell and they said to use nature's powers so shroom, pepper, and nuts are pretty snowdwellers
i think originally snowdwellers also had a frenzy idea because krono was also snowdweller exclusive on launch, but that identity is hard to keep to one clan
In general it feels weird to keep what really seem like generic mechanics to one clan.

You should have made a smash or pass rather than a tier list
6:05 kill bird for groff? Or a zoomlin source for soulbound skulls so you can redraw faster to skulls again
52:00 can just blank mask a unit and have van jun scale them good? And they might have potential with spoof, scaling 3 summons at a time. Barrage and junker effect seem good to steal at final fight

L take on lil gazi tbh, that unit doubles the damage output of units like jumbo and foxee in the early game. It falls off late but it gives a nice buff and can push damage above certain thresholds
Agree with you. Been taking Gazi especially on Shademancer runs and the amount of extra damage is insane. Sometimes Gazi is bringing its 4 damage plus a whole extra 4 from allies and it just makes your team such an offensive powerhouse. Voyix tends to want to play safe though and values hp, so he probably undervalues the hyper aggro strats that Gazi encourages.

in a world where you always hit jumbo or foxee before the first boss i'm sure lil gazi would be great, if you click that unit and your first draft is bad you're gonna just run out of hp on infernoko though
