    Thanks for the video, I always try to start moving the ball in the se on step of the five step approach. I consciously practice this as a single step for awareness. It also helps in keeping calm when playing. I’ve seen this problem in other player’s is hard to explain it to them but you achieve one of the clearest explanations I’ve seen.

      @@janproshopchannel I started with my wife that has late timing.

    I have late timing. It causes good and bad things. Bad side: 1. Pulling inside of target, 2. Muscling swing, 3. Over hitting ball/inconsistent rev rate, 3. Tiredness from muscling swing and over hitting, 4. Moving eyes/hard to focus on target, 5. Slower ball speed which causes over hooking down lane. The Good: 1. High rev rate (mine is 400-500 as a 1 hander) 2. Manipulation of release at the bottom, 3. Can get farther left without changing balls, 4. Can “feel” the release better, 5. Easier to keep wrist cupped before release. These may sound great but my consistency is trash. It causes streaky striking, not consistent striking

      Notice one thing regarding "Can feel the release better". Ideally relax release with good unlock motion will make you feel nothing with finger grips, i.e. finger grips are
      not pressured by fingers. It can improve consistency alone for most late timers.

      @@janproshopchannel this will be a hard one to let go of. The feeling of “ripping” the ball off my ring finger is intoxicating. It feels so good, but i know it creates so much inconsistency in rev rate. This game is so hard 😢

      @@janproshopchannelI just got back into bowling after 20 years and I'm trying to fix my release. I still bowl well but I have the same problems I had before that by the end of the 3rd game I have ripped skin off the left side of my right thumb. You're videos are the easiest to understand but I wish you could actually watch me bowl to tell me what I'm doing wrong lol.

    I'd like to think in "mostly" in time but could be a little late if i must be honest... working on my timing at the moment. Good information in this video!

    Like most lower scoring bowlers, I tend to have early timing. I am not so sure it's caused by a push away timing but rather, rushing the foul line or pulling the ball up in back swing.

    • @janproshopchannel
      @janproshopchannel  4 месяца назад +1

      One possible reason is a very slow foot, but more common is a early push away causing the swing pull.

      Ok I tried speeding up and trying to not think about each and every facet. So far, it has helped A LOT! I did work on the timing with the push away being after my 2nd step and just as I began the 3rd. THANKS!

    Great video with slow mo and commentary…….funny how (in this video) it made no difference in timing and all had same outcome…solid strikes. :)

    I am on 4-step and now having this 'early timing' issue which I tend to 'muscle and hold back' the ball from lowering in the back swing. This has caused inconsistent release. The main reason of this early timing is I take my first step and then only push the ball out in the second step.......try to change to push/lower the ball in the first step but find it awkward and mess up the next few steps. Any suggestion on how to improve on this 'early timing' issue? Thank you

    • @janproshopchannel
      @janproshopchannel  4 месяца назад

      @@smseah7680 If you push the ball out on 2nd step out of 4, you're probably in late timing because it will be a very rush swing to finish whole swing in two steps. In other words, it is tough for your swing to arrive on time naturally, such that you need to pull.
      Sometimes we will get confused 'late' with 'early' because our muscles were trying to force and fix the mismatch in opposite way. When timing is late, muscles push earlier and vice versa.
      As for solution, I would suggest you try an 'early timing' by pushing the ball out simultaneously with first step, then feel the change in swing. Only after you feel comfortable to slow down your swing completely, then you push the ball slightly after the first step for perfect timing.
      Hope it helps! :)

    Can I make a constructive criticism (and maybe it’s me) ? The small pop-up window overlaying the action isn’t readable without pausing & expanding.
