  • In his weekly RUclips appearance, Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise joins host Adam Bittner to discuss Steelers draft picks Troy Fautanu and Zach Frazier. How quickly can they be upgrades on 2023 offensive line starters Dan Moore Jr. and Mason Cole? How long after that will they mature into the stalwart pieces of the line that the Steelers hope they can be? And where does fourth-round pick Mason McCormick fit into this conversation?
Our duo tackles those questions, the latest on WR trade rumors involving names like the Commanders' Terry McLaurin and the possibility of Cam Sutton returning to Pittsburgh. Then they get into the Pirates' recent offensive struggles. Has hitting coach Andy Haines become a scapegoat for GM Ben Cherington's systemic development failures? Does Cherington deserve to keep his job through the entire season if names including Henry Davis, Oneil Cruz and Jack Suwinski continue to sputter? And why does Paul think it's time to bring up names like Nick Gonzales, Ji Hwan Bae, Jake Lamb and Paul Skenes from the minors, then cut underperformers like Rowdy Tellez loose?

Agreed, it was a mistake last year and it would be a mistake to repeat it. Even more so if you want to move Broderick back to left side

Asking Paul if McCormick is a solution for the looming guard issue is hilarious. Paul has no idea about that guy 😂.

A Tomlin team in general doesn’t find its feet until the 6th game.

Damn Paul, be a professional and learn to pronounce Troy "Fautanu's" name correctly. It isn't THAT hard.

This guys doesn't know what they're talking about. How about you guys shut up and quite GUESSING what the Steelers are going to do and just wait (I know most Steeler fans can't do that) and see what happens in training camp and the preseason. It might surprise you. Hell, you might even finally learn the the coaches and front office know what they're doing.

You might be new to sports media, but 75% of the content is speculative in a 24/7 news cycle. It’s their job. If you don’t like it, the internet is the wrong place for you lol.
