Top notch modeling Tony we modelers do love to make things harder for ourselves dont we altering a kit to suite the part gives us a challange to make our layouts a bit diffrent Great work High Shields station is really looking the bees knees mate
Cheer's Peter its slowly coming together. The main station needs a canopy and the lighting fitting inside and some minor details to finish it off, yes your right about adapting the kits to suite the style of our layouts. that's what makes our hobby interesting...thanks again Tony
well done on the modifications Tony, the superquick kits have been around for years and I think everybody had the low relief Red Lion pub, Norwich Union and Regent restaurant on their layouts at some time. Mine have survived 3 layouts and have had bits off old kits to make them taller with extra detailing. Ian H.
Hi Ian the station is the first superquick kit i have bought. another pub the red lion. ! how many pubs can one person have on layout. answer please on a post card lol........................thanks again regards Tony
I've got superquick ' Red Lion' , City scenes Coronation Street style pub (Carpenters Arms) , superquick Library/Police house converted to ' Kings Arms' and Hornby station building converted to ' Railwaymens social club' lol regards Ian
Very nice Tony, I did like your opening shot of the station and rear buildings, looked very effective. I can so see me copying you in the future..Simon
Impressed...like the folding tip ...nicely designed station...what you going to do when all the buildings are done ....or is New Hassle a never ending story .
I'm afraid its a never ending story Fred. there's always something to be added to the layout. there's still the extension to south shields. and a fiddle yard and a control panel to build. and so on.....thanks again Fred.......regards Tony
Cheer's Chris. I'm looking forward to finishing the station so I can move onto the next building. the station has a footbridge that needs putting together, at some point soon.......cheer's Tony
Hi John, the brick headers were made from very thin strips of card left over from the Metcalf kits previously. nothing gets wasted....cut a long strip of about 1.5mm thick cut them to the width of the window but allowing a couple of millimeters excess and just glue them in place, and then just paint to what ever texture you require....best wishes Tony
Nice build and modifications. Looks really good.
Thank you. all the best Tony
Enjoyable modelling and a good folding tip, thanks Tony...........cheers Rog.
Your welcome Rog. I must admit I do look forward to the weekend modelling. even if its just a couple of hours......................thanks again tony
