No, sadly I think they're too small to make custom. Just have to buy multiple sets. And unfortunately it looks like they didn't become super popular so it's harder to find the product now, and most likely more expensive.
are you still very satisfied with them? Have you found better ones? The only thing that I am hesitant on is that the gold isn't that shiny, but i guess it depends on the lighting
Tom Beaudry hands down the most legit currency I've used in any board game. My friends will not play age of empires without it. The exterior is perfect for aged doubloons, I suppose it could be shinier if you want a bling factor, but it shines like aged used metal, not new. Nothing more satisfying than holding these in a game.
Any feedback from your Puerto Rico games with these coins? I am about to purchase, just slightly concerned they are too big (such as multiple coins on a role or bank area too small). Anything negative here? Thanks!
+Justin Davis it definitely is bigger than the cardboard coins. We honestly don't play much Puerto Rico anymore because we have such amazing games like castles of burgundy and Lancaster. But we did try it out with the metal coins and since you basically only really have silver during play, having two sets was perfect, and we all agree that using the metal doubloons was another must for every play of the game. I basically need to start renting it's use to my friends since I'm the only one who has it. FYI, I get no benefit if you buy these coins it's just a product that I was truly excited to buy and I've always been excited ever since to own. It's like owning real doubloons!
