    great Assessment, but as a Tennesee fan I can tell you Josh Heupel relies on gap scheme pulling tackles, guard and incorporating H back into Gap scheme at around 53% of runs called, So not as Zone heavy as you stated. They run a ton of Dart, Power, Counter Trey run blocking with some unorthodox H back inserts that are akin to a trap type of play. If anything you could compare to wing T type blocking in the sense that you are trying to confuse the box to misreading and misfitting the run play. 100% agree with your assessment of using 1 cut fast RB that get vertical.

    I actually love that you mentioned Golesh at USF. I thought that he did well working under Heupel and I fully expect him to be at a Power school in the next 5 years.

    I'm suprised that UNLV was put into the Veer and Shoot family.Brennan Marion was inspired by Gus Malzan when he played for him at Tulsa in 2007-2008 when he set the NCAA record for highest yards per reception(30 yards a catch).

      I almost put them in power Spread his scheme is one of a kind, to be honest. I just kept watching the film and looking at the use of wide splits, pressuring the defense horizontally, and the deep shots. From my understanding, it can fit in both schemes but it would be nice if he elaborates on it more. Never knew he played for Gus. In that case it very well may be a power spread with VNS elements.

    So this veer n shoot is an Air Raid derivative. Dykes, Briles, Heupel, are all former Mumme or Leach players and coaches. Art is a disciple of Hal Mumme and Mike Leach. When he had Robert Griffin he was able to add some veer concepts. The horizontal stretching and wide splits are all air raid concepts. But this is a cool video series. My question is does the custom playbook have a blank canvas that we can draw up our own formations or does it just have a copy and paste feature.

    • @DuceSenpai
      @DuceSenpai  Месяц назад +3

      That is some damn good knowledge you just dropped on me, bro! In the last game, you could start with a base playbook from another team and edit it by removing and adding formations, plays, and audibles, so as far as I know, it's copy and paste. However, at one time, EA put Play Creator in Madden. It's a dream that they would randomly throw that back in with this game, but with all the creativity lately in college football and these weird formations, I feel it's only right if they do.
      Possibly too late now but if the fans and enough content creators demand it, we can get in the next installment of the game

    • @ExplorinInTheWoods
      @ExplorinInTheWoods Месяц назад +4

      @@DuceSenpai I played for hal Mumme in college and have lots of friends that still coach so it’s interesting how guys have blended air raid stuff with other concepts. Like we ran an rpo back in 2010 that was off stick and there was always the option of a draw off the hitch screen in the air raid. I’ll have to watch your air raid video. The play creator was cool, I could see it getting broken and someone designs a glitchy route you can’t stop. I remember big flip te middle or te attack had a weird glitch if a te motioned.

The game has confirmed these playbooks: Air Raid, Multiple, Pistol, Power Spread, Option, Pro, Run & Shoot, Spread, Spread Option, and Veer & Shoot. Based on the team's offensive schemes and their real-life performance in plays and stats, I believe these playbooks would be among the best in the game. Also, my father is a Marine.
