Hey guys! I'm absolutley blown away by all the love and support you're showing me. Literally never been happier reading all your positive comments! If you have the time, check out my other videos :)
Here's a negative comment, then: How many times do you have to begin a sentence with "See..." before you realize it's dumb, amateur script writing? All RUclipsrs do the same thing, as if you all watch everyone's videos just to see which annoying trends to adopt.
Was thinking the exact same thing. I looked down thinking to see a 300 thousand subbed channel that I was already subbed to, but nope. Had to sub right away. Really high quality content. Love finding hidden gem channels like this
Also whats the point with the lack of space for adverticing? That large plain stragith rectangular flap is prime area for ad placemant. #if anything they increase ad space instead of taking away from it.
Just a nitpick (I've only seen to the second innovation but here goes) McLaren's dual brake system only costed them £50 to develop. The other teams vowed against it because they were worried it'd cost millions. It also only enhanced one brake disc on the back, left or right depending on the circuit they were racing at.
From what I heard, the Williams 6 wheeler in a test was over a second a lap faster than the car they ran in the season after the fia banned it. This is because yes it might have been a bit heavier but it had 4 wheel drive allowing for much more traction on corner exits and the extra length allowed for a larger defuser that produced more down force and allowed for higher cornering speeds despite the weight. I can't entirely recall the source it was either a RUclips video or during a tour of the williams heritage museum.
You are 100% wrong about the 6-wheeler cars. They were actually mighty fast, especially the Williams, that's why FIA banned it. Weight wasn't the main concern, since Brabham, Ferrari, Renault and Fittipladi were all very heavy in 1977, plus Tyyrell even benefited from the weight that was created in the front of the car, rather than on the back like with the rest of the teams. Tyrrell struggled because Goodyear didn't bother to develop the small tires for a single team and thus they were in a growing disadvantage while they were struggling with both heating up and conserving the tires.
Weren't there also selfadjusting flabs that kind of acted like DRS but were just not acjusted by some mechanical system, but by the sheer force of the air pressuring the flaps down at hing speeds? Those were banned after some races, too iirc.
The description of the third pedal is incorrect. The pedal was used to apply more braking to the inside rear wheel during a turn (selected via a switch on the steering wheel). This would rotate the car more and reduce understeer; This is not equivalent to isolating front and rear brakes.
Mclaren second brake pedal wasn't about rear/front brakes. The second pedal was for rear left/right (chosen beforehand) brake. Nice video though! "We were racing with it on just one side,” says Goss. “So we’d pick which side we’d want to do, biased mainly to long high-speed corners where we had understeer. As you applied the brake mid-corner it would brake one of the rear wheels, and as you didn’t want to slow the car down, you’d open the throttle to compensate. “So it was a combination of pressing on two pedals at the same time. In doing that you’re putting more torque through the outside rear wheel and less through the inside, and that puts a yaw moment on the car to steer the car around the corner. In corners where the car had a lot of understeer, then if you applied the brake steer, you would reduce the understeer."
Nice video and great editing, but I think more research should have been done. The McLaren two-pedal brake system was an inside/outside thing, not front/rear. The Brabham "fan car" used the fan to, a-hem, "cool the engine" by sucking up air from under the car. This had the "side effect" of massively increasing down-force with no extra drag. It did not change the airflow over the car.
Good footage. Keep it clear no click bait and you will get lots off followers. This subject will have a part 2 ? we have skirts DAS flexi wings ABS brake coolant ( wich was onlt to dump weight during races) The list is long long verry long.
BS Sharkfins look awesome they're great they're making the cars faster and allow you put sponsors on them, I don't know know what McLaren was talking about
t's funny that they've had safety issues for so many years and banned all this tech like TCS that actually makes driving safer. I get why they do it however it is known that TCS can save drivers lives when the car starts to slip. These are professionals Vs regular joes though. Most people can't control their vehicles driving in a straight line.
The McLaren dual brakes didn’t cost them millions much the opposite it cost them £50 to make the brake system they just used some spare parts that they had at the factory
@ in the video the narrator says McLaren spent millions on their new dual brake system which is false because the just used spare parts back in the factory to construct it costing them £50

Why did you make up your own reasons instead of telling us the real reasons for the bans?
Dude I didnt even realize that I was watching a video from a small channel! The editing is top tier! You deserve way more subs!
I appreciate you bro 🔥
Was thinking the exact same thing. I looked down thinking to see a 300 thousand subbed channel that I was already subbed to, but nope. Had to sub right away. Really high quality content. Love finding hidden gem channels like this
@BRITISHBUBBA. damn he's more than doubled that since
no wonder, i was alos checking the editing like "no way this is a new channel"

1:30 I think the shark fin looks good ngl 😅
X Wings were so OTP...
Also whats the point with the lack of space for adverticing? That large plain stragith rectangular flap is prime area for ad placemant. #if anything they increase ad space instead of taking away from it.
I find the Shark fins on most cars were looking pretty good.
it looked pretty good on the redbull car
the 2017 ones were a bit too extreme. but I always liked the 2018 to 2022 ferrari cars shark fins. it just fits yknow

Just a nitpick (I've only seen to the second innovation but here goes)

Love the editing and narrative! Keep up the good work! The video felt so professionally put together!
Thank you :)
this guy is more underrated than nico hulkenberg

A unanimous decision being required for something is a surefire way to never make progress
bro what..just 714 subs nah, bro be consistent and you'll very successful
good video editing
Other teams: Hey they have a new tech that makes them fast and we dont have that. Ban it
Amazing just absolutely amazing video 🙏
Personally think that sharkfins looked pretty good..
How do you only have 600 subs, the quality on this is like something from someone with 10k
You deserve more subs
Honestly I never thought the fins were ugly
I always thought they were cool as hell
I remember playing F1 2010 and loving the look of the cars. Mainly for the shark fin. I still think they are the best looking cars
Commenting: 10/10
Facts: 6.5/10
I hope this video will slap in the face of those who attempt to "rationalize" the non-spec series existence in F1

4:27 and a big fire there and it lookes very nasty and- DU DU DU DU
MAX VERSTAPPAN
Algorithm doing its proper thing today. Subbed.
A little correction, the fan on the fan car was actually meant to accelerate air underneath the car, not on top!
I liked your video so i subscribed. I started watching F1 in 1990 with Senna and Nigel. And that young German kid
I appreciate you Lewis! And yeah the 90s was a crazy era for F1
You deserve so many more subs than 300
Weren't there also selfadjusting flabs that kind of acted like DRS but were just not acjusted by some mechanical system, but by the sheer force of the air pressuring the flaps down at hing speeds? Those were banned after some races, too iirc.
Man the sharp ends are so beautiful

4:27 *DUDUDUDU MAX VERSTAPPEN*
Nice video but you forgot to mention the active toe used by Mercedes Benz and the CVT by Williams

You deserve soooo much better
Imagine banning innovations because you getting your ass handed to you XD

Best informative comment of the lot.
Soon 1k
8:05 the fan didnt put air over the top of the car it sucked air from the bottom like a vacuum sticking it to the ground
Great vid tho
This guy is funny and I thought I was in a famous you tubers video
Honorable mention. Das system used by mercedes in 2020
watch this channel get 2 million subs in a year
I screenshoted this for motivation 🔥
5:32 was so slow that schecter win swedish grand prix
Very nice content and editing.
Keep going brother, you are destined for greatness!
Wish you luck ❤🔥🦾
bro done unredbulled the redbull in the thumbnail
3:20 - What is trailbraking?
By banning any technology that makes cars faster, F1 has created an auto racing class that is now more boring to watch than golf.
Good amount of likes and views but why low subs😢
Those X-Wings were so small they only added 1% more downforce, like 20kgs😢 you can get more from adjusting your tyre pressures? Wake up
Can't believe i watched 65% of this video 😢😢
Am i the only one that loved the shark fin?
BRO KEEP THAT KIND OF EDITING!!
how does he only have 200 subs?
4:03 driver?
Brown didn't want sharkfins in "16 because they had no sponsors back then. Chandon?
BS Sharkfins look awesome they're great they're making the cars faster and allow you put sponsors on them, I don't know know what McLaren was talking about
Fans? Top?
No Batmobile afterburner, why not?
Of course Zac brown was the reason

I get why they do it however it is known that TCS can save drivers lives when the car starts to slip. These are professionals Vs regular joes though. You forgot about the DAS.
What if you put that all in an F1 car now…?
It’s supposed to be a sport of innovation and creativity. These teams whine way too much🤦♂️ amazing video though you got my sib
7:46 it wasn't banned, but was to dangerous to use, so team principal stop using it
Fan car dodnt pull air over the body but sucked more air from the floor.
Weird way of saying Tyrrell O.o
it's his style
The autodrive thing is clickbait, btw. I think you mean Williams' CVT gearbox from 1993
4:03 Driver Coulthard?
The McLaren dual brakes didn’t cost them millions much the opposite it cost them £50 to make the brake system they just used some spare parts that they had at the factory
uhmm it did costing them a championship constructors worth millions
@ in the video the narrator says McLaren spent millions on their new dual brake system which is false because the just used spare parts back in the factory to construct it costing them £50
The fan car didn't create more air over the vehicle like you said 😢 it created more airflow 'under' the vehicle, what is the matter with you¿
3:21 That’s not true, look up trail braking
3:23 lmao
then why trailbraking exists?
i watched 3 videos or something thinking that u have 100k and more subscribers but i saw now you only have around 370
Thank you 😊 you made my day
@@prodbydrive youre welcome
Make it into one car
7:35 Actually the team owner decided to abort it
8 bit
Where's the DAS
