Fantastic debut last night. *Thank you* for sharing this. 🎼 So many innovations and influences in Jonny's gorgeous string arrangements. You can hear Górecki in this one. Their ever-evolving songwriting skills and willingness to push boundaries are producing some astounding work.
@@worrywirti dont think they've ever fumbled... the albums have to be TIGHT. they would spend fucking ages refining the tracklist and order; there's a reason the bsides are bsides
@@Taylor_King Kinetic is one of the most fascinating songs I’ve ever heard and would have perfectly fit on Amnesiac instead of Dollars and Cents which is honestly hard to listen to
@@worrywirt it's interesting but its a pretty messy song. which is fine, i just don't see how it would've flowed with the rest of the tracklisting; it's a very different vibe all round.
Maybe I overdosed a little on Cinematic Orchestra last week, but it's either that and wanting it to flow in to the sickest stand up bass jazz riff or maybe Mahavishnu Orchestra OR Floating Points - Falaise based on those strings.
Tiptoe through the window By the window, that is where I'll be Come tiptoe through the tulips with me Oh, tiptoe from the garden By the garden of the willow tree And tiptoe through the tulips with me Knee deep in flowers we'll stray We'll keep the showers away And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight Will you pardon me? And tiptoe through the tulips with me Maybe it's flowers you stray will be the showers of life And when I kiss you in the garden in the moonlight Will you pardon me and tiptoe through the tulips with me?
or you could just say.. these changes sound similar to gershwin... its giving? what is? who is taking then if its giving... now that its been given to you what exactly do you have? dont be afraid to complete your thoughts..
I really like the sound of this song but my guess is that they will keep refining it through different versions and hopefully when it comes out in the future it will be even more emotive. Either way, it is a great song!
I may have just ignited into gas like Spinal Tap drummers of the past had I been there. There there…I felt my skull get hot to the touch just seeing a replay. To have the string section sliding over the top and weaving all those sonics. Wowed. The playback was amazing. Damn special! Lifted my day. Now for a full replay, me hopes.❤
This song is pretty different from everything on Wall of Eyes, but I still wish it was included. Would've been a nice break in style to keep me interested.
Beautiful, enchanting song. The play of the strings against the piano twists my heart delightfully tight. But as a devoted fan, it also breaks my heart to hear Thom York's voice fail so frequently. It hurts to hear. 😢
I also wish Thom could still sing like he did in the 90s and early 2000s, but he’s aged. Its inevitable. But this is his voice now. Let’s just be happy he’s still writing fantastic music and singing at all. I think he sounds great here!
Is there anywhere I can listen to the unreleased Radiohead tracks that have been blocked on your channel for copyright? Theres so many I’ve not listened to that aren’t accessible
I wish more Americans weren't brainwashed by the media with Top 40 Feces that don't even apply themselves to the point it would take to call themselves true, original musicians. This is music. This is original. This is real. God bless and long live Thom Yorke, Radiohead, Atoms for Peace, & The Smile!❤❤❤
God this is boring. Hopefully the version on ''Cutouts' will be more interesting. This doesn't fit with the Smile at all, it feels more at home with Thom's soundtrack albums, Confidenza or Suspirium.
bold coming from a mac miller fan. what's wrong with repetition in a song first of all secondly i would probably not listen to 12-tone rows constantly even if i preferred little repetition in my music
Tension through repetition. Can used to say about that. I think this is lovely. Mmmm mac miller is brilliant too. Music is lovely. Sending you both warmth and good shit. 🫴
Well.. it’s a toxic repetition. But still beautiful. You should check out 'promises' by pharaoh sanders and floating points to try some other beautiful repetitions of a specific motif :)
Thom and Jonny are in another songwriting golden era. Beautiful.
It's crazy they just keep getting better and better.
The next Radiohead album (whenever it comes), is going to be something else.
They really are. All their The Smile songs are beutiful as hell!
Thom played it a bit as an introduction to Panavision for Tiny Desk, never thought it would become a new song !
THAT's where it was familiar from! thank you, it was killing me
for real
I was there last night, my jaw dropped when Thom said that the next song was called Tiptoe
Amazing wasn’t it.
Lucky bastard!!
I yelled out when he said Tiptoe and he said "you don't know this one yet" - but we do thom...
That's incredible that you brits have a radio station that would play a thing like this live. This is amazing.
Right!!!
We don't really - this was for a live concert that was hosted/organised by BBC Radio 6! So not quite I'm afraid.
6 Music is the only place you’ll here leftfield music

A studio version was played on the Wall of Eyes listening party here in Brazil. Absolutely gorgeous!
Were there lyrics on that presentation or just instrumental? "What's this then?" I think it said.
que história é essa menó como que eu não soube disso
Meu deus, como que eu perdi isso
Heard this the other night, listening to 6 Music, painting kitchen cabinets on my own. Blown away- gently...
Thanks for this gem . There are musicians who can transform feelings
guys played some bits of this song after the cinema screening of the album -- so they're probably already have the studio version!
Wow i like this more than some album songs.
Radiohead B-sides are always god tier, I love them but they manage to fumble on what to put on and leave out of an album every time lmao

Definitely some Apocalypse vibes
His performance reveals how much he feels every note in his body and mind.
Oh wow now this is something special ❤
beautiful!
This hits so hard.

The strings remind me of Massive Attack Unfinished Sympathy
When you can jam with your mate who also has his own symphony orchestra 😅
On repeat

What a great song. Can’t believe they left it off of Wall of Eyes
Wow so damn cool
You took it from Atease! lol, that was me uploading the audio

Conjuring Joni, ECM, Jerry Goldsmith and countless others on their way to another glimmering gem...
I hope they finish this song one day. It's clearly very unrefined but could possibly become great

Will be appearing on next album

how do you get these songs? like from live events? secret files?

So far the most beautiful from them. Sounds so Jonny.
Who are you mr Stashkin ? How do you put your hand on such gems ? Thx anyway 😊
so Coltrane
And I shall make an ambient drum.and bass remix of this track because this was made for it
sickeningly beautiful. the delay on the strings makes me wanna puke. i would die for jonny greenwood
so unfair the way every Single thing they've made with The Smile improves upon itself. unbelievably better every time.
Beautiful puking was personally not my first reaction, but hey we are all built differently 🤷🏻♂️
damn right.
😱
Kinda sad that they are cutting almost a whole minute of this masterpiece on the record
does anyone know if this might be released? or is it just scrapped from one of the lps
it’s track 7 on new the smile lp ‘cutouts’ coming 4th october

Parece que Thom saca una canción para cada etapa y situación crítica de la vida.
Reminds me of Arbour Zena

dont really understand why jonny wasnt on the piano for this
This music kinda reminds me of Barry white
Influenced by Bjork’s ancestress?
The universe is a creation of Bjork, so yes
Thom has vocally been a big fan of Bjork (and occasional collaborator) so it’s very plausible.
