A Very Simple Method to Propagate Your Umbrella Tree Schefflera Plant

Here's how I have successfully propagated my umbrella tree schefflera plant with no fancy expensive products!
All you need is a umbrella tree schefflera leaf cutting, a small bottle, water (of course), a window sill and some patience :-)
Propagation for me took 2 months.

And do you have a picture of the new plant? That leaf will live forever, but it won't turn into anything else. I see many of these videos that never show the results. You must have a node in order to grow any leaves or stems. I've got a beautiful healthy shefflera leaf in a small planter that is a year old but it has never changed.

I did on a leaves. It didn’t grow into a tree, it’s been 3 years, finally the leave turned yellow and I Removed it away.

Thank you 🙏. Regarding leaves dropping, the same thing happened to me when I first bought my umbrella tree. After a few weeks once my plant got used to its new home the leaves stopped dropping. So, I would say if you have just bought the plant than it's normal at the beginning and don't worry too much.

Mine has been in water for weeks without any roots. I will soon put it in the ground since I gave up.

Occasionally a cutting won’t root. If that happens try and try again!

I had two steams with leaves, one took about 6 - 7 weeks before the roots developed and the other one never developed any roots, gave up with it after about 12 weeks
