Great video! I've been looking for information on this camera since I've been considering buying one Now I know what to expect from it and honestly, I like it. Thank you for talking about the goods and the bads of this great piece of history. Keep it up!
The s2 was my first digital slr. I hated carrying around dozens of batteries and chargers but pic quality was better than any camera I'd ever owned. Normally I would have stuck with canon but their digital cameras weren't compatible with my film camera lenses. So I took the fuji/nikon route.
The batteries really are a downside with this camera, I would use it much more if it wasn't for the AA batteries draining too quickly in the cold. They should just have used the same battery pack as in the D100.
Great video!

That's great! It's definitely one of the more interesting early DSLRs!

Does this camera record videos?
No video
It was great for weddings I had a new one that year
Must have been a great experience to have this camera in 2002!
You once again have very good pictures and effects from this hybrid camera. Yes it is a weird concept.
Thanks! It's a bit weird, but also one of my favorite cameras!
