Note from Dad

Hi Avery!
I want to talk to you about Tamara Fobbs.
Tamara wished me a happy birthday the other day and it was nice to see her name pop up on my screen. Tamara and I went to middle school together, 30 years ago. Boys and girls in middle school are still developing socially and sometimes will tease each other. I laugh to myself when I remember those days.
I remember Tamara being pretty and also being very different from me since I was a boy and she was a girl. Boys and girls change and evolve into men and women as we grow up. It is so fascinating to see people I remember as a kid now all grown up with kids of their own. It is one of the most remarkable things about growing older.
People can use phones and computers to do hurtful things or wonderful things. I am thankful Tamara chose to reach out to me to say hello and bring back fun memories from my childhood. A kind word can mean a lot and I am grateful for Tamara's birthday wishes!
