    Nice way to consolidate some old scrap metal. Nice bars.

    Very nice. Doesn’t take much plumbing work to make a nice brass bar and you got 4. Great melt and the bars look awesome. Thank you for sharing.

      For something that would normally be thrown away.
      Thank you for watching 👍

    Hi bud hope you have a great year to come.
    Did you get the piece of brass that fell into the fish pond, or are you teaching them to build something?
    Drill shallow dimples into the centre line of the moulds, the tong tips will grip better and you can shake the mould without the danger of the mould slipping and breaking.
    Great video nice to see you get a chance to do foundry work in this soggy land.

    I was also wondering about the chrome , does it all come off the top as slag , I’ve got a load of taps to melt

    • @meltingipswich
      @meltingipswich  2 года назад +1

      Yeah chrome is just a plating metal so it just burn off. Thanks for watching

    I'm curious as to what happens to the chromium

    • @meltingipswich
      @meltingipswich  2 года назад +1

      It just burn off and you scrap it off the top 👍

      It doesn't create a new alloy?

    • @meltingipswich
      @meltingipswich  2 года назад +1

      @@caseywood9781 it might do but I’m not sure I’m just stacking anyway. I will look into it tho 👍
