She's not NEEDED of course but she's one of the reasons I broke my Eulas max hit record. Used to be 300K but I hit 421K the other day no leyline buffs. Not to mention WITH Xingqui they're hydro Monsters together. Truly a character I don't regret pulling and am even going for C1 on because her skill is so dam cool and hits hard as shit.
The new Archon Quest made me love Xiao so much more then I used to I cried multiple times rewatching it from other streamer's perspectives even though I already knew what was going to happen. Even though the pain of sibling loss, loss in general or even having siblings at all, is a mystery to me, it still hit hard, knowing I never had the chance to experience something so beautiful.
nah siblings are annoying assholes most of the times and you have to share everything and the family gets less money and less trips because its expensive. not worth it.
same! in liyue's archon quest, i was like "ok a sad emo guy so what". then i played his story quest and i thought "huh he's actually not bad, not bad at all". and now we have the new archon quest which made me go "XIAO I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SORRY FOR NOT APPRECIATING YOU BEFORE" same goes with my thoughts for his gameplay, i used to think it was boring and repetitive since he just dashes left and right and jump up and down but now i'm considering pulling for him in the future.
At this rate Moga is soon gonna become a Xiao main and make a Super God Mode for him later. Moga is falling into the Edge-lord-love hole and I am all for it Edit : That last bit sounded sus
I love this game. My one and only complaint is how small amount of resin they give you and you need resin to do EVERYTHING in Genshin. It’s really annoying
It works out when all you do is work to survive so inevitably don’t have much time for the game. But when I do, I’m always near resin cap if not already there.
Zhongli would be helpful in getting 60k+ damage as he shreds anemo resistance. Jean with constellation or anemo traveler with constellation will also work in place of zhongli for reducing anemo resistance of enemy. Yelan is kind of useless in xiao team.
@@coldbread8313 considering anemo traveler can reduce resistance and battery xiao it will open up an extra space in the team. And xiao after benett buff is pretty good, more dmg buff won't be that effective.
A few pointers. Zhongli would have been absolutely amazing in this team. I know you probably are trying to use him less due to comments about it, but Zhongli in a Xiao team is one of the only times when Zhongli is actually best-in-slot and not just someone to fill a party slot. He is insanely valuable with Xiao because there is no real source of anemo resistance shred, and Zhongli shreds 20% resistance to all elements which is amazing for Xiao. Also, Homa may sometimes be better in "Damage per screenshot" situations, however Jade Spear is way more consistent for him and has been proven to do way more actual DPS. If you were insistent on not using Zhongli, you could have replaced Yelan with Mona instead for bigger numbers. Mona could also carry TTDS. My favorite Xiao team is Xiao/Mona/Zhongli/Bennett
@@Kenzznz if you have c1 and/or a decent amount of energy recharge, you can comfortably run this lineup without sucrose. if you feel like you're always struggling to get your burst though, run sucrose.
10:35 Actually primordial spear is rly good for raiden mostly cuz of the passive that gives a lot of attack, I use it on her and the basics in ult for are like 15-20k, though I also have 250 ER without the catch

I got a second PJWS on standard (a month after pulling for it on Xiao's weapon banner, my 5* weapon RNG works in mysterious ways) and put it on my Raiden to fix my ratio and base atk a bit, and because tier lists had it higher than The Catch. She improved a lot but yeah, just like you I already had massive ER from substats and the sands and even after changing my circlet to crit dmg I'm at 258% ER. The Catch went to Xiangling and my rational team had a major boost! So indeed, it's a pretty good option for Raiden
I think that there was always a misconception using pjws on Raiden. Like a lot of guides and all said that it wasnt good, but the reality is that its actually really good for her. I think that its because Homa isnt really good for Raiden and the thought of "oh so crit weapons arent good for her" was adapted by the community. besides, even if you Raiden build isnt that amazing you have at least 200% ER just from ascension, 2 piece set bonus and an energy recharge sands, so you only need around 20% more ER to have an almost perfect ER amount so you can focus other substats into attack and crits. You could even use an attack circlet on Raiden if your crit substats are godly
I also use the Jade spear on my Raiden. Got Xiao first time around and do not gel with his playstyle at all 🥲. Makes me feel like I have arthritis, how bad I am at controlling him. Did free up my Catch for Xiangling though. Raiden and Xiangling on the National are great 😘🤌🏻
you dont have to worry about the full set bonus so much on xiao, the artifact set gives him like 8% more damage than 2pc atk% x2 so you can just use your good shimenawa and glad pieces to test him out again
Moga, the Vermillion set gives such small of an upgrade that running him double atk% sets is better unless your vermillion set has the same or better stats that your double atk% sets. Its barely a 5-10% dmg increase with the same stats so I recommend using glad/shime/echo/ver 2-sets on him given your vermillion artifacts.
It's actually the same for other artifact set upgrade. There are few spreadsheet in KQM discord but I can't link you because it's from chinese server. Basically the new artifacts set only increase 8% - 10% across the board. Seems like Mihoyo use the same formula. Itto with Husk also only increase 10% over 2p Husk + 2p Petra. The difference is the support unit. Itto can use Albedo/Gorou/ + geo reso while Xiao doesn't have his own dedicated support and anemo reso doesn't help much.
I’m pretty sure the Primordial Jade gives the buff -on hit-, so you can gain all the stacks while only plunging I always play him that way so I was confused when you talked about doing basics and stuff, so I checked it and it worked with only plunging. But tbh I think Staff of Homa is kinda better for him, really had high hopes about him getting a new weapon this rerun.🚶🏻♀️
I think the point is while you can get the stacks while only plunging, if you do 1 AA combo, you will max the stacks much faster and get not only the full stacks of attack, but also the straight damage boost. But then again, I only do the AA string before I activate the burst. Once Xiao has the mask on, its plunge time

I honestly think Xiao is in the lvl of most of the recent 5* DPS like Itto and Ayato (except Ayaka). The only thing that holds him back is a dedicated support. Heizou could have been perfect but no... Hoyoverse had to activate their Xiao Hate button.. I do think he is either in the lvl of inazuma 5* and even surpasses few inazuma 5*.
I agree with everything but the heizou part, I would rather have heizou be able to have his own standing then be just a dedicated xiao support like gorou or kujou sara to itto and raiden respectively. But I guess I’m a little biased since I don’t have xiao (I wanted him but I gotta save my guaranteed)
A video idea that came to mind was you trying out the Genshin Optimizer. It would tell the best artifacts to use to maximize damage. You could compare what you thought was the best with the recommendation.

Xiao's so good, just got him recently and im shocked i can do 40k plunge and 79k with full buff, and im f2p so that's why I'm very shocked with this *low damage* if that's how you see it
I guess you have Zhongli in your team. The biggest drawback that the team in the video have is that it doesn't have any def/element shred. With Zhongli, you get 20% more attack with tenacity and 20% elemental shred with the shield.
For Yelan-Xiao combo, you could always do N1-cancel-plunge pattern. So you don't lose too much DPS on Xiao while still proccing Yelan's exquisite throw

The best way to keep the stacks on Xiao's Primodial Spear is to basic attack in between his plunges. Jump > Plunge > Normal Attack > then immediately jump and repeat. It will feel a bit hard at first but it will feel more fluid as you practice it more. You can also search it on RUclips and see some demonstration as to how you do it. Of course, that is if you are gonna keep using Xiao.

xiao main over here!! his optimal attack sequence when against a single enemy is plunge -> na -> ca -> plunge!! as for his e's its preferable once the animation stops you immediately switch to his burst so that he already has the particles halfway through the burst animation. for multiple enemies, just a plunge -> na -> plunge is good. for pjws stacks, playing normally will oftentimes get you the stacks naturally but i find it best doing 3-4 na then the two skills followed by the burst for the plunge combo i mentioned in the previous paragraph
if you want all stacks fast on the spear you can do one normal attack and then a plunge. one normal attack will give 2 stacks (since xiao attacks twice first first attack). paired with yelan you will even proc her burst.
@Neet Kun i know how that works.. but you would agree that 2+1 stack is better than just one stack per plunge rotation, right? that is simple math. and also, when did i say that only normal attacks activate the stacks?
As a Xiao main, I still use him with the 2pc viridescent, 2pc gladiator, so if you have better pieces of those you can try it. As I heard even if vermillion is his best option, it's not really worth it, it won't give you a significantly better dmg. Especially if you have a better stuff on the other sets. 😅
@@bletwort2920 i mean if you got Xiao from his later banners then yeah it's easier to farm just one domain, but it's not that big on an atk increase, or at least not what most us expected from his signature set. The other thing that maybe can make it a bit better, that you probably don't need Bennett that much, so you can use him in other comps.
Gor the team, maybe consider substituting Yelan for Zhongli, since Zhongli's shield offers anemo res decrease to enemies, also helps with Xiao's jumps getting interrupted!
If you think about it the Jade Spear was built for Xiao in Beta for the launch of the game... Homa did power creep it because it's a Event Banner weapon. Xiao on Homa is still lit!!! I'd say that the Jade Spear you should R5 as you get off banner weapons of it for sure as few units can make use of it and the ATk% bonus.
In my opinion, the order from best to worst is: Homa, Jade, Queller. Homa is just that good with extra atk bonus from HP so your artifact which has hp% substat is not that useless. Not to mention the extra bonus when your hp is below 50% and Xiao loses HP passively from his ult. Jade Spear is also good just because of the high base atk and crit rate main stat alone, but activating the passive is a bit of pain in the ass because you have to attack 7 times first. I don't rate Queller very highly because the base atk is kinda overkill and having crit stats on the weapon makes artifact building much easier.
The dmg order for both weapons are homa under 50 > pjws max stack >homa over 50> pjws no stack. Since xiao is hard to maintain under 50% hp with Benny buff and for none c6 xiao pjws takes a bit time to activate I would rank both weapon the same however at c6 with the spam e pjws really shines better and the dmg increase will buff the e dmg even more because the e will not get buffed by his burst.
Xiao benefits more from defense shredding supports like zhongli Mona c4jean, just have zhongli with recharge spear don’t need sucrose in xiao team. Highest dmg build for xiao is zhongli albedo and c4 Jean.
you should do a challenge where you spin a wheel, get a character, build them, spin the wheel again, get another character and that is the character you have to use with the build of the first character you got on the wheel! Itd be pretty fun
A really good team I like for Xiao is Albedo, Zhongli for geo resonance and Jean with Favonius sword for a healer/ battery. It's a really solid team for Xiao espcially if your Jean is c4
Running Xaio with echos of offering with the jade spear because the atk speed is so high and that way you can run him with Yelan and Raiden and jump to dodge attacks it's very satisfying

I think one of the main point of Xiao's artifact is to actually free Bennett up, we all know about the diminishing returns of ATK, and everything about Xiao's kit, artifact, and sig weapon is buffing his atk and his dmg Xiao and PJWS both has very high base atk Xiao's passive all buff Dmg PJWS adds 22.4% atk and 12% dmg buff 4-piece artifact buffs 18% + 8% +40% = 66% Atk So you don't need to run Bennett with him anymore his own artifact is a mini Bennett + TTDS that lasts for the entirety of his burst. So I run him with 2-Geo-2-Anemo (Zhongli+Albedo+Jean) Overall his new artifact is QoL improvement on him rather than improving his dmg substantially (his set compare to two 18% or 18%+VV combo is only roughly 11% DPS increase) Also, I prefer PJWS on him, a lot of people give it flack for stack mechanism - needing to stack first, but Xiao has very fast atk animation and could get that stack in 2.1 seconds. and just by dmg comparison against Homa: Full Stack PJWS > No Buff Homa > No Buff PJWS - and when running Xiao, you'll never want him to be less than 50% HP - it's a suicide for him even with Zhongli shield and if you still run him with Bennett or any healer it's very counter productive with Homa.
I spent 13k primos trying to get yelan's bow for ganyu, but instead got myself a second jade spear. You pretty much confirmed in this video that even though it's a good weapon overall, there aren't many characters right now who could use it, so I guess it'll have to wait for a suitable owner together with my skyward atlas and lost prayer. Also weapon banner is a terrible thing to spend your primos on, I knew the risks and made my choice, now I have to live with it
I feel that the PJWS is pretty good on Hu Tao I say that because I don't have any other good weapons for her that can out damage my Jade spear but hopefully I get Staff of Homeless
Pogo stick short king really likes his atk% subs on artifacts, with PJS' high base attack he likes them even more. It's why I like him so much, he can easily do up to 40k plunges on his own without any supports with the right stats.
hi moga! since it seems that you want to use yelan on xiao, lemme give you a few xiao techs! xiao deals alot of damage from plunges, but you can also sneak in a few basic attacks while doing plunge attacks. when doing the first set of basic attacks, if you jump immediately it will do the first attack of the first set and cancel the next one. therefore if you do basic + jump immediately ~ into plunge, you can proc yelans burst while getting more hits from xiao. though you cannot use xingqiu for this sadly :(
since you have Thoma C6, can you try using Thoma in the same team (Thoma Xiao Yelan Benny)? I think about this team recently but i don't have Xiao to test out. The thing about this team is Thoma and Benny give pyro resonance, Thoma give a bit of shield to help prevent knock back, and doing some basic attack between Xiao's jump summon Yelan's arrow and Thoma's shield so u get Thoma's 15% buff of plunge while doing some damage with Yelan
It’s kind of weird to me that Xingqui’s burst feels shorter than Yelan’s despite the fact he is C6. It might just be the time taken between burst-double skill for energy and switch though, but Yelan’s always feels like it lasts longer regardless
Homa is easier to build because all those hp substats can turn to atk, but PWJS is still good in its own right. XIAO gets a lot of damage bonus from his burst and ascension passive, +the goblet and PWJS passive. That and there isnt much else to do other than ATK boost from TTDS and benny. Reliable ANEMO RES SHRED is locked behind C4 Jean, and there isnt any way to boost crit damage of anemo damage (YET). Which is quite unfortunate for XIAO
Yelan might be actually really good for xiao, because if you do plunge+1na combo you will do more damage than just plunge and you will trigger yelan's ult, and in addition yelan has a passive that increases on field character's atk by some%
Actually, Yelan is kinda good with Xiao, bc you can do one normal attack and animation cancel it with a jump and plunge. Bc of this swirl Xiao is finnaly viable (you can't do the same with Xingqiu). It's not that hard to do, if you just spam left click, it will happen rly often.
I also got xiao's weapon, but im not upset, since yelan already has elegy. My xiao has had blackliff ever since, i got him on on his first banner, and now he finally got jade lol. I'm not using him in abyss rn, but i've been thinking of farming the chasm domain for him:)
my xiao build is currently very good rn but he does need a lot of investment. altho he's rocking the calamity queller (i got it instead of jws back then) he has 2.5k atk with 74 CR and 174 CD, and a 2pc shime 2pc vv. i'm still farming for vermilion even tho he alr has pog artifacts just to maximize his potential (i'll just give his artis to venti since i don't usually run reaction teams, vv set doesn't rlly matter for him ^~^)
Although Yelans 50% dmg bonus is nice, it is not that valuable on Xiao as it would be to other characters, as his burst provides him a huge dmg bonus, and as we know, when a single stat is stacked too much it gives diminishing returns. Although it is nice that Yelans’s burst triggers on the first hit of Xiao’s first auto, so you can interweave it into his plunges. But Zhonglis anemo shred is probably more useful, as there aren’t as many ways to shred anemo.
I'm pretty sure there's a way you can utilise yelan with xiao. This doesn't work with [water dude] i don't think, wouldn't know cuz i don't have xiao but i saw a video on it a few days ago. During ult you can do ur first normal attack and cancel it with jump into a plunge, this activates yelan's ult attack but not [water dude]
i just got him a few days ago. I now use the lithic spear on him and use a 2pc glad / 2pc VV with a 60/145 crit ratio. even tho i only hit 21k on crit. im glad i pulled for him.:)
After i get Kazuah ill be able to start thinking about summoning on weapon banners. Playing for a yr and only having 2 5 star weapons feels lame also having one of them being skayward pride. I never acc liked xiao and skipped his banner quite easily in the past but after the Archon quest I fell in love with him and now I so want to pull for him but I'm worried I won't find any use for him😭😭
So.. I've been using Xiao with primordial pretty much since he came out and I gotta say...Homa's overall better especially now with the vermillion set. Getting Primordial's stacks is really a pain if you don't normal attack a few times before you start plunging
primordial jade is still better than homa by a slight difference. homa is better if the passive gets activated, but generally its slightly worse than pjws
you guys don't know how PJWS works. it stacks on all of Xiao's damage source. yes! even with his E. i tried it. that's why most TCs rate PJWS on Xiao higher than Homa. only time Homa beats PJWS on Xiao is when its passive procs
I'm trying to get the jade spear for xiao but all I get is Skywards. I now have the full skyward set, a wgs and an unforged. still waiting for the day I get a good 5 star weapon. my xiao still does like 69k plunges with benny burst, yanfei ttds and zhongli though, he's equipped with a blackcliff, 2pc vv and 2pc glad.
Xiao is a weird character for me, i love his "e" but his burst is very underwelming for me (in terms of satisfaction, not damage). I love his infusion but you dont use it at all because of plunging (which is just boring for me)

you might wanna switch raiden her e scaling is pretty low and most hypercarry teams that have 2 carries in them fall off in dps over time, would be better to build a separate team for her unless this is open world/you don’t care, go ham :)
Primordial is really bad on Hu Tao, passive is almost useless and it only gives 22 crit rate. Hu Tao doesn’t get much use out of the base atk at all. If you have death match use that and I believe dragons bane R3+ is also better.
As a Xiao main I think it's just because you built his artifacts around the fact that you will use staff of homa. Which isn't bad but with pjws it doesn't compliment him the best.

Xingqiu has a talent/constellation (I don't remember exactly) That increases his burst's durations by I believe 3 seconds! That's why it feels longer

I know you probably are trying to use him less due to comments about it, but Zhongli in a Xiao team is one of the only times when Zhongli is actually best-in-slot and not just someone to fill a party slot. He is insanely valuable with Xiao because there is no real source of anemo resistance shred, and Zhongli shreds 20% resistance to all elements which is amazing for Xiao. Also, Homa may sometimes be better in "Damage per screenshot" situations, however Jade Spear is way more consistent for him and has been proven to do way more actual DPS.
If you were insistent on not using Zhongli, you could have replaced Yelan with Mona instead for bigger numbers. Mona could also carry TTDS.
My favorite Xiao team is Xiao/Mona/Zhongli/Bennett
ER might be an issue with that team. You need an anemo battery.

10:35 Actually primordial spear is rly good for raiden mostly cuz of the passive that gives a lot of attack, I use it on her and the basics in ult for are like 15-20k, though I also have 250 ER without the catch

I got a second PJWS on standard (a month after pulling for it on Xiao's weapon banner, my 5* weapon RNG works in mysterious ways) and put it on my Raiden to fix my ratio and base atk a bit, and because tier lists had it higher than The Catch. She improved a lot but yeah, just like you I already had massive ER from substats and the sands and even after changing my circlet to crit dmg I'm at 258% ER. The Catch went to Xiangling and my rational team had a major boost! So indeed, it's a pretty good option for Raiden
I think that there was always a misconception using pjws on Raiden. Like a lot of guides and all said that it wasnt good, but the reality is that its actually really good for her. I think that its because Homa isnt really good for Raiden and the thought of "oh so crit weapons arent good for her" was adapted by the community. besides, even if you Raiden build isnt that amazing you have at least 200% ER just from ascension, 2 piece set bonus and an energy recharge sands, so you only need around 20% more ER to have an almost perfect ER amount so you can focus other substats into attack and crits. You could even use an attack circlet on Raiden if your crit substats are godly
yeah pjws is solid if you already got 250 ER without the catch. i also need the catch for xiangling so pjws works out better on raiden
I also use the Jade spear on my Raiden. Got Xiao first time around and do not gel with his playstyle at all 🥲. Makes me feel like I have arthritis, how bad I am at controlling him. Did free up my Catch for Xiangling though. Raiden and Xiangling on the National are great 😘🤌🏻

you dont have to worry about the full set bonus so much on xiao, the artifact set gives him like 8% more damage than 2pc atk% x2 so you can just use your good shimenawa and glad pieces to test him out again

Moga, the Vermillion set gives such small of an upgrade that running him double atk% sets is better unless your vermillion set has the same or better stats that your double atk% sets. Its barely a 5-10% dmg increase with the same stats so I recommend using glad/shime/echo/ver 2-sets on him given your vermillion artifacts.
2p 2p gives 36% atk, vermilion gives 76%. It’s a pretty big difference. Although yes if your substats are significantly worse 2p 2p is also good.
It's actually the same for other artifact set upgrade. There are few spreadsheet in KQM discord but I can't link you because it's from chinese server. Basically the new artifacts set only increase 8% - 10% across the board. Seems like Mihoyo use the same formula. Itto with Husk also only increase 10% over 2p Husk + 2p Petra. The difference is the support unit. Itto can use Albedo/Gorou/ + geo reso while Xiao doesn't have his own dedicated support and anemo reso doesn't help much.

I think the point is while you can get the stacks while only plunging, if you do 1 AA combo, you will max the stacks much faster and get not only the full stacks of attack, but also the straight damage boost. But then again, I only do the AA string before I activate the burst. Once Xiao has the mask on, its plunge time

I honestly think Xiao is in the lvl of most of the recent 5* DPS like Itto and Ayato (except Ayaka). The only thing that holds him back is a dedicated support. Heizou could have been perfect but no... Hoyoverse had to activate their Xiao Hate button.. I do think he is either in the lvl of inazuma 5* and even surpasses few inazuma 5*.

I agree with everything but the heizou part, I would rather have heizou be able to have his own standing then be just a dedicated xiao support like gorou or kujou sara to itto and raiden respectively. A video idea that came to mind was you trying out the Genshin Optimizer. It would tell the best artifacts to use to maximize damage. You could compare what you thought was the best with the recommendation.

I guess you have Zhongli in your team. The biggest drawback that the team in the video have is that it doesn't have any def/element shred. With Zhongli, you get 20% more attack with tenacity and 20% elemental shred with the shield.
Xiao in this video has really bad artifacts. But for F2P 40k plunge without buffs is kinda high.

For Yelan-Xiao combo, you could always do N1-cancel-plunge pattern. So you don't lose too much DPS on Xiao while still proccing Yelan's exquisite throw

The best way to keep the stacks on Xiao's Primodial Spear is to basic attack in between his plunges.
Jump > Plunge > Normal Attack > then immediately jump and repeat.
It will feel a bit hard at first but it will feel more fluid as you practice it more. You can also search it on RUclips and see some demonstration as to how you do it.
Of course, that is if you are gonna keep using Xiao.

xiao main over here!! his optimal attack sequence when against a single enemy is plunge -> na -> ca -> plunge!! as for his e's its preferable once the animation stops you immediately switch to his burst so that he already has the particles halfway through the burst animation. for multiple enemies, just a plunge -> na -> plunge is good.
for pjws stacks, playing normally will oftentimes get you the stacks naturally but i find it best doing 3-4 na then the two skills followed by the burst for the plunge combo i mentioned in the previous paragraph
Hell yeah, my favorite character! If you use TTDS on Sucroae and Zhongli's shield for Anemo resistance shred, you should be able to hit 60-70k+
if you want all stacks fast on the spear you can do one normal attack and then a plunge. one normal attack will give 2 stacks (since xiao attacks twice first first attack). paired with yelan you will even proc her burst.

As a Xiao main, I still use him with the 2pc viridescent, 2pc gladiator, so if you have better pieces of those you can try it. As I heard even if vermillion is his best option, it's not really worth it, it won't give you a significantly better dmg. Especially if you have a better stuff on the other sets. 😅
Not true. Unless you have perfect 2p 2p sets, Vermilion is worth farming.

Gor the team, maybe consider substituting Yelan for Zhongli, since Zhongli's shield offers anemo res decrease to enemies, also helps with Xiao's jumps getting interrupted!
If you think about it the Jade Spear was built for Xiao in Beta for the launch of the game... Homa did power creep it because it's a Event Banner weapon. Xiao on Homa is still lit!!!
I'd say that the Jade Spear you should R5 as you get off banner weapons of it for sure as few units can make use of it and the ATk% bonus.

In my opinion, the order from best to worst is: Homa, Jade, Queller. Homa is just that good with extra atk bonus from HP so your artifact which has hp% substat is not that useless. Not to mention the extra bonus when your hp is below 50% and Xiao loses HP passively from his ult. Jade Spear is also good just because of the high base atk and crit rate main stat alone, but activating the passive is a bit of pain in the ass because you have to attack 7 times first. I don't rate Queller very highly because the base atk is kinda overkill and having crit stats on the weapon makes artifact building much easier.
Can I use Vortex to replace Calamity?

The dmg order for both weapons are homa under 50 > pjws max stack >homa over 50> pjws no stack. Since xiao is hard to maintain under 50% hp with Benny buff and for none c6 xiao pjws takes a bit time to activate I would rank both weapon the same however at c6 with the spam e pjws really shines better and the dmg increase will buff the e dmg even more because the e will not get buffed by his burst.

Xiao benefits more from defense shredding supports like zhongli Mona c4jean, just have zhongli with recharge spear don’t need sucrose in xiao team. Highest dmg build for xiao is zhongli albedo and c4 Jean.

A really good team I like for Xiao is Albedo, Zhongli for geo resonance and Jean with Favonius sword for a healer/ battery. It's a really solid team for Xiao espcially if your Jean is c4

I think one of the main point of Xiao's artifact is to actually free Bennett up, we all know about the diminishing returns of ATK, and everything about Xiao's kit, artifact, and sig weapon is buffing his atk and his dmg
Xiao and PJWS both has very high base atk
Xiao's passive all buff Dmg
PJWS adds 22.4% atk and 12% dmg buff
4-piece artifact buffs 18% + 8% +40% = 66% Atk
So you don't need to run Bennett with him anymore his own artifact is a mini Bennett + TTDS that lasts for the entirety of his burst. So I run him with 2-Geo-2-Anemo (Zhongli+Albedo+Jean)
Overall his new artifact is QoL improvement on him rather than improving his dmg substantially (his set compare to two 18% or 18%+VV combo is only roughly 11% DPS increase)
Also, I prefer PJWS on him, a lot of people give it flack for stack mechanism - needing to stack first, but Xiao has very fast atk animation and could get that stack in 2.1 seconds. and just by dmg comparison against Homa:
Full Stack PJWS > No Buff Homa > No Buff PJWS - and when running Xiao, you'll never want him to be less than 50% HP - it's a suicide for him even with Zhongli shield and if you still run him with Bennett or any healer it's very counter productive with Homa.
I spent 13k primos trying to get yelan's bow for ganyu, but instead got myself a second jade spear. You pretty much confirmed in this video that even though it's a good weapon overall, there aren't many characters right now who could use it, so I guess it'll have to wait for a suitable owner together with my skyward atlas and lost prayer. Also weapon banner is a terrible thing to spend your primos on, I knew the risks and made my choice, now I have to live with it

Pogo stick short king really likes his atk% subs on artifacts, with PJS' high base attack he likes them even more. It's why I like him so much, he can easily do up to 40k plunges on his own without any supports with the right stats.
hi moga! since it seems that you want to use yelan on xiao, lemme give you a few xiao techs! xiao deals alot of damage from plunges, but you can also sneak in a few basic attacks while doing plunge attacks. when doing the first set of basic attacks, if you jump immediately it will do the first attack of the first set and cancel the next one. therefore if you do basic + jump immediately ~ into plunge, you can proc yelans burst while getting more hits from xiao. though you cannot use xingqiu for this sadly :(

since you have Thoma C6, can you try using Thoma in the same team (Thoma Xiao Yelan Benny)? I think about this team recently but i don't have Xiao to test out. The thing about this team is Thoma and Benny give pyro resonance, Thoma give a bit of shield to help prevent knock back, and doing some basic attack between Xiao's jump summon Yelan's arrow and Thoma's shield so u get Thoma's 15% buff of plunge while doing some damage with Yelan

Yelan is actually a really good support for Xiao since you can weave normals between plunges and yelan's ult will proc
It’s kind of weird to me that Xingqui’s burst feels shorter than Yelan’s despite the fact he is C6. It might just be the time taken between burst-double skill for energy and switch though, but Yelan’s always feels like it lasts longer regardless
Homa is easier to build because all those hp substats can turn to atk, but PWJS is still good in its own right.
XIAO gets a lot of damage bonus from his burst and ascension passive, +the goblet and PWJS passive. That and there isnt much else to do other than ATK boost from TTDS and benny. Reliable ANEMO RES SHRED is locked behind C4 Jean, and there isnt any way to boost crit damage of anemo damage (YET). Which is quite unfortunate for XIAO

I think Yelan works with Xiao. Xiao’s jump cancel in his burst doesn’t trigger thoma or xingqiu, but triggers yelan
Yelan might be actually really good for xiao, because if you do plunge+1na combo you will do more damage than just plunge and you will trigger yelan's ult, and in addition yelan has a passive that increases on field character's atk by some%
How much ER do you run since you aren't using an anemo support

Actually, Yelan is kinda good with Xiao, bc you can do one normal attack and animation cancel it with a jump and plunge. Bc of this swirl Xiao is finnaly viable (you can't do the same with Xingqiu). It's not that hard to do, if you just spam left click, it will happen rly often.

my xiao build is currently very good rn but he does need a lot of investment. altho he's rocking the calamity queller (i got it instead of jws back then) he has 2.5k atk with 74 CR and 174 CD, and a 2pc shime 2pc vv. i'm still farming for vermilion even tho he alr has pog artifacts just to maximize his potential (i'll just give his artis to venti since i don't usually run reaction teams, vv set doesn't rlly matter for him ^~^)

Although Yelans 50% dmg bonus is nice, it is not that valuable on Xiao as it would be to other characters, as his burst provides him a huge dmg bonus, and as we know, when a single stat is stacked too much it gives diminishing returns. Although it is nice that Yelans’s burst triggers on the first hit of Xiao’s first auto, so you can interweave it into his plunges.
But Zhonglis anemo shred is probably more useful, as there aren’t as many ways to shred anemo.

During ult you can do ur first normal attack and cancel it with jump into a plunge, this activates yelan's ult attack but not [water dude]
i just got him a few days ago. I now use the lithic spear on him and use a 2pc glad / 2pc VV with a 60/145 crit ratio. even tho i only hit 21k on crit. im glad i pulled for him.:)
After i get Kazuah ill be able to start thinking about summoning on weapon banners. Playing for a yr and only having 2 5 star weapons feels lame also having one of them being skayward pride. I may build beidou just for the weapon. My other is wolfs and yes diluc is still being used. Good luck everyone.

you guys don't know how PJWS works. it stacks on all of Xiao's damage source. yes! even with his E. i tried it. that's why most TCs rate PJWS on Xiao higher than Homa. only time Homa beats PJWS on Xiao is when its passive procs

Xiao is a weird character for me, i love his "e" but his burst is very underwelming for me (in terms of satisfaction, not damage). I love his infusion but you dont use it at all because of plunging (which is just boring for me)

Primordial is really bad on Hu Tao, passive is almost useless and it only gives 22 crit rate. Hu Tao doesn’t get much use out of the base atk at all.
If you have death match use that and I believe dragons bane R3+ is also better.

As a Xiao main I think it's just because you built his artifacts around the fact that you will use staff of homa. Which isn't bad but with pjws it doesn't compliment him the best.
