Great bike. Nothing wrong with a Caad 8 my friend. it's the rider, not the bike. Mario Cipollini used to kick all ass on his previous Caad back in the day. Great fun passing way more expensive bikes on it.
Hey man. Nice bike. I'm planning to upgrade mine to 105 from the stock Claris GS. My question is, what's the wheel you have there? Did you replaced it or it came with the bike? Safe ride man.
Nice bike. I've got a green 105. I can't find the hub specs for last year's Tiagra model, but I think they're the same as mine. If so, then yours has a 1.85mm spacer on it. Remove the spacer and you can put an 11-speed cassette on it. You can never have too many wheels.
+Jay Robinson All I'm saying is that you can put your 11-speed cassette on the Maddux wheel that came with the bike. It has an 11-speed hub, but it also takes a 10-speed cassette with a spacer. The Maddux R3.0's are pretty good wheels actually, they're just poorly built. The rims are bombproof. I rebuilt mine, with top-notch spokes, and they're a great reserve set of wheels. Happy rolling.
+RadioSnivins you're totally right I have a green CAAD8 105 in green too, same Maddux R3.0 wheels as shown in a previous video but with an 11 speed 11-28 cassette, it would be totally do-able to make the 10 speed ones into 11 speed, presumably, like you say, by removing a spacer
Only thing I can comment is that your specific bike, as a CAAD racing frame, isn't that aero just due to it being a 61, your high seating position and high bar height, that might not be your goal, just a general comment :)

Yeah that's definitely true it's all about the rider
Don't be disappointed you got the Caad8. It is a very capable frame! I have a 2011 Caad8 and I still love it! (Tiagra to ultegra set )
Nice bike! I have same exact bike just different color.also just upgraded the 105 with race wheels and other carbon parts.
may i ask what bottom bracket you used?

I was really looking to switch to 105 the shifting is way better now with it on
