National Kidney Registry Sponsored Athlete Elizabeth Young: Women's 2024 Ironman World Championship

Living kidney donor Elizabeth Young, sponsored by the National Kidney Registry, competed in the 2024 Ironman World Championship in Nice, France, on September 22, 2024. Her Ironman journey began in 2012, and the World Championship was her 14th Ironman. Since donating a kidney in 2022, she has competed in 6 Ironman races. Young chose to become a non-directed donor and does not know who her recipient is. She donated through the NKR's Family Voucher Program, which ensures that her loved ones are prioritized for a living donor kidney in case they ever need a kidney transplant in the future.
