No, way! I think the second is by far better in every way shape and form. The first one was a great game, but the story was pretty much a linear, run of the mill Star Wars scenario. KOTOR II took Star Wars in a new, thoughtful direction that has never been seen. The writing is borderline brilliant. There aren't many games that can raise questions on someone's own morality, much less a Star Wars game. The restored content made it even better. People don't owe enough credit to Obsidian.

He does it automaticaly, if you choose him to rescue your party. The main guy is modded, she's a Twi'lek, with the same tatoo pattern as Darth Maul(Who is a Zabrak, if I remember correctly).
Could have been a great single player, that MMO... maybe #5 or something of the series. Why didn't they simple make a KotOR3? Why did they make a MMO? Anyway...
this game was such a treasure. i'm so glad there's such a thriving community that had everything figured out so i could get it to run nicely and experience it on a modern pc.

They need books for all the backstories of several KOTOR people. Canderous fought in the Mandalorian Wars, HK-47 was an assassin droid built by Revan, Zaalbar is a wookie and is bound to have a long history, and Jolee's stories are just plain epic. If this task falls on my shoulders, so be it!
That's the sign of a great video game. The outcome of the KOTOR games can vary in so many ways that the games will simply get better with age. I played through KOTOR II while maintaining complete neutrality. It was an interesting playing experience.
